Need To Reset Password To Account
Sep 29, 2011my friend forgot his password to his account and can't enter the computer anymore. How can i bypass this password and then change it into something else?

Bootable Disc To Access Vista/Windows 7 Admin Account Or Reset Password
Apr 25, 2011Sitting here in class and our professor was telling us admin it disabled by default in Vista/Windows 7 now for security reasons. I mentioned you can access it from a command prompt based program that comes in a bootable iso format you burn on disc.
I can not for the life of me remember what the name of that program was but a couple years ago I was working on a Win Vista system that got a virus that locked out the user by changing the user account passwords.
We Googled, found this program you burn on a CD and it brings up a menu that will allow you to reset the user account password, or log into the admin account.

There is no password setTHere is just one user/account which is obviously also the administrator. Probably because I set the password then set it up to do automatic login using the 'control userpasswords2' command. So now i am using a vista password cracker but it can't seem to find the registry? It states it is in winnt/system32/config but when i type that in, it does not find it. is the registrysam file in a different location? If so can someone please list it here?

Luckily we do have a standard user login / password that does work.
