My Computer Shut Off When I Try To Play Online Game
Apr 17, 2011
When I try to play City of Heroes my computer shuts off. I run on a 550w Power Supply. Windows 7 32bit...for now bout to upgrade. There is not a lot of downloads on the computer maybe 4 items. It might let me on 2 minutes, 5 minutes or up to 40 minutes yesterday ( I was really surprised). It just shuts off. I have to flip the power supply button off for a few seconds before I can turn the computer back on. I can surf the internet all day long with no problem at all, its only when I go to game.
playing an older pc game with my son. "call to power 2" game will work fine for the most part some of the time, then out of no where it will say it has incountered a problem and shut down. Then keeps doing that. Will try again later and work fine. Then another day will have problem again. I don't get it.
I have Windows 7, and I want to play 'I Spy Spooky Mansion', but everytime I play it says "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows that you are running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need a x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and the contact the software publisher."
I have an AMD Athalon IIx4 640 3.gig w/ 4. gig memory computer. I play Frontierville on Facebook alot. I am having trouble with computer shut down in the middle of the game. It doesn't blue screen it simply shuts down. POOOF!!!! gone. Then I have to restart the computer. I am running Windows 7 64 bit OS.
I have a desktop gaming pc here, that was working perfect for more than a year then suddenly started to lag during game play. Now even programs are sometimes starting to not respond. Here is the specs below
RAM: 4 GB 32 bit windows 7 ultimate Processor: AMD Atholon 64 X2 Duel Core 5000+ 2.61 GHz Graphics Card: GeForce 9600 GSO 768MB DDR2 Hard Drive: Sata connected 250GB
I have tryed dusting the computer and the prosessor, I have tryed using uniblue speed up my pc, registry cleaner, drivers update. Did run all of them didnt help. I have de-fraged. I have installed avg free protection, and i connected an old ide hard drive, installed a clean windows 7 with drivers, and games like mineraft were still laggy.
how can I play a video in jet audio (or any other media program) on one monitor while I play a fullscreen game on the other. I can get it to work with streams off of website like own3d.tv and twitch.tv, and I can even run the streams in full screen. However when I try to run a movie through jet audio or even just play music through zune player, they freeze up. The audio will still come through, but either the picture is frozen in place or the zune player seems to get frozen.
I have recently gotten this problem where I cannot connect to any online game, I will get to the login screen and when I input my details it always comes up with an error like "Cannot connect to authentication server or Cannot connect to authorization server".The weird thing is I logged in and played Aion fine earlier today but when I tried to play recently came up with "Cannot connect to authorization server" no maintenance or updates at the moment, havn't changed anything since last time I played, tried with firewall and antivirus off (applies for other games as well). My computer is connected to a router which is connect to a modem (Needs to be like that because other members of the house need to use the internet. I found that when connecting directly to the modem Dragon Nest works but still no other games work which doesn't help me. Is there any option in the router settings that could be messing with the connections.
My hard drive crashed and when I replaced it and reinstalled windows7 everything worked except when I go online and try to view news stories or movie trailers. The commercial will play but then there is just a spinning loop and no video.
I play a flight simulator on line with other players. When I want to host the game, I give them my IP number but (I think) because of the fire wall, they cannot connect to my computer. How do I disable the firewall and activate it later after the game?
I don't know what caused this; the sounds(in my headset) suddenly stop then resume again. I'm sure that it isn't caused by lag or other internet related issues, I'm using the same headset after my computer has been replaced entirely and my past OS is WinXP. But my speaker works fine and doesn't encounter that problem, I also used that in my past WinXP pc.
I have a HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook with windows 7 home premium 64-bit. My problem is lately any time i play some games like minecraft or star trek online after about 5 to 10 mins my screen goes blank with black and white or greenish white vertical lines going across my screen. Im not sure where to start or
I could not play the game bus simulator. Everytime massage appear 'a problem caused the programme working properly. Window will s/ the programme and notify if any solution available.
I just installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits, at home desktop, upgraded all my drivers (including bios, monitor drivers...)...
Then I bought, Dragon Age in Steam, and started playing, after 5 minutes the game became the most laggy thing in the world. Ok, I thought it was something with dragon age. Installed GTA IV, installed the patch, same thing, after about 5 -10 minutes the game starts to lag.
After searching a lot of foruns in the net, i realized that everybody seems to have problems with gaming in Windows 7, or the game crashes, or graphics problems.
I tried compatibility mode - same
Tried tweaking nvidia options - same
Tried tweaking games options - same
Installed more three games to test, all have the same problem.
I Have a game to play online which I run using a script (*.bat).sometimes I host a game and sometimes I don't...(by the way, I hope this isn't illegal wright? )now I've been setting up everything in windows firewall, inbount and outbound rules for that program and all that security stuff.now here are two scenarios where, one works and another unfotunately does not:
-I log in as admin into windows -windows has UAC disabled -I run a script -I play the game online Second scenario : -I log in as admin into windows -windows has UAC enabled -I run a script as Administrator -I can't play a game online cos it can't find any server
as you see in these two scenario only UAC on/off is difference. How do I fix that issuse by keeping UAC enabled?
