View 2 Replies View Relatedhow can I play a video in jet audio (or any other media program) on one monitor while I play a fullscreen game on the other. I can get it to work with streams off of website like own3d.tv and twitch.tv, and I can even run the streams in full screen. However when I try to run a movie through jet audio or even just play music through zune player, they freeze up. The audio will still come through, but either the picture is frozen in place or the zune player seems to get frozen.

It started with the screen flipping back to desktop, as though ALT TAB had been pressed, no error messages,i just clicked the MTW2 icon on the side bar and returned to the game.Next the above mentioned behaviour started being accompanied by a message saying. "MM driver has stopped working" - since yesterday this message has stopped appearing.Last 2 days, whilst on the battle screen MTW2 just crashes with the Win 7 message box that says.this program has stopped working. It crashes all the time know whilst playing, but not immediatly, about after 15 - 20 minuetes on the battle map.Other events.Recently on boot up a box entitled "AML device install" would briefly appear after windows has loaded, i have disabled this in MSCONFIG - following web site advice. Power cable from wall socket to PSU blew, never had this before, simply replaced it. It was about 5 years old.
So I have tried alot of different things. Last night i played maybe for a couple of hours and when I woke up this morning and wanted to play it kept crashing over and over again. Sometimes into blue screen sometimes just freeze and I had to reboot.

On 4/19, I downloaded a game from wildtangent and my pc became extremely slow to the point of crashing because pages were taking so long to download. I unstalled the game (using Control Panel) on 4/21 and though uninstalled, still had the same problem. On 4/21, I attempted to use System Restore to restore my pc to a date before the game download BUT the earliest system restore point was actually 4/21, including my checking the box to "choose another restore point". Win XP would save restore points for one to two months prior, with Windows 7 it's anywhere from one to a few days and in this case, the same day. WinXP was the best of the Windows versions and Windows 7 has been nothing but problematic. My pc with Windows 7 is a year and a few months old and Windows 7 has been one problem after another. Restoring to factory settings will wipe out everything on my pc so is there a way to restore my pc to before 4/18/2012?

I had it installed and fine for about a year now and suddenly it started having issues with Borderlands 2 where the card will literally just cut off right after the game add's and just before i can select to load game. The strange thing is the sound from the game will still play so i know the system itself is still running. I tested the temp's on gpu and cpu both of which are under 70c, i tried reinstalling windows and immediately installing amd drivers and running a game, it does the same thing.

View 23 Replies View RelatedI've got a laptop with windows home premium 64 bit installed on it and I use it for gaming a lot. It's high spec and there's usually no problem but I've been having problems with guild wars 2.Basically the game crashes a lot. When it crashes, I end the application in task manager but if you go to the processes tab the process is still there and clicking end process or end process tree doesn't close it down. The game won't restart while this is hanging so I have to reboot the laptop. It's getting very annoying and is happening a couple of times a day. Does anyone know how to fix the problem? Is there a way to kill processes quickly or does anyone know what I can do to stop the crashes full stop?I've tried opening task manager and closing the application then closing down the process which doesn't work. I tried ending the process first before ending the application but that still closes down the application and leaves the process hanging. I've tried to end the process in the cmd line but it still leaves the process hanging or if I do it before ending the application it just closes the application and leaves the process hanging.

Then I bought, Dragon Age in Steam, and started playing, after 5 minutes the game became the most laggy thing in the world. Ok, I thought it was something with dragon age. Installed GTA IV, installed the patch, same thing, after about 5 -10 minutes the game starts to lag.
After searching a lot of foruns in the net, i realized that everybody seems to have problems with gaming in Windows 7, or the game crashes, or graphics problems.

Tried tweaking nvidia options - same
Tried tweaking games options - same
Installed more three games to test, all have the same problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI Have a game to play online which I run using a script (*.bat).sometimes I host a game and sometimes I don't...(by the way, I hope this isn't illegal wright? )now I've been setting up everything in windows firewall, inbount and outbound rules for that program and all that security stuff.now here are two scenarios where, one works and another unfotunately does not:
-I log in as admin into windows
-windows has UAC disabled
-I run a script
-I play the game online
Second scenario :
-I log in as admin into windows
-windows has UAC enabled
-I run a script as Administrator
-I can't play a game online cos it can't find any server
as you see in these two scenario only UAC on/off is difference.How do I fix that issuse by keeping UAC enabled?
I am trying to play an Infinity Engine game I recently purchased, Icewind Dale, in XP Mode. I decided to go with XP Mode over forcing it to run under Windows 7 with patches because the multiplayer client doesn't work on a 64 bit operating system, but installed and worked fine under XP Mode.But I can't get the game to start, and I'm not sure why. The errors I get are all involved with the movies, I actually haven't managed to get as far as the actual game menu. I have an AMD Athalon IIx4 640 3.gig w/ 4. gig memory computer. I play Frontierville on Facebook alot. I am having trouble with computer shut down in the middle of the game. It doesn't blue screen it simply shuts down. POOOF!!!! gone. Then I have to restart the computer. I am running Windows 7 64 bit OS.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAs the title says, my sound drops whenever I play a game on my PC, so I turn the volume up & 20 mins later it blasts out because the sound has reset or is back to its normal level.This seems to happen is every game, I use a Realtek Onboard HD as my sound but I also went and bought a 7.1 Soundcard (Speedlink Stage 7.1) and it did the same issue, I then installed the Speedlink into my wifes other quad core PC & it is working fine, not a single issue or drop.I have ever asked some tech guys, who said it may be my AV or programs like "Steam" running in the background, but the wife uses "Steam" also with zero effects, we both use the same AV/security (COMODO Internet Security), and again she has no problems.I use Cambridge soundworks 5.1 speakers as does the missus.

The problem is when in the game the movement keys don't work. I tried to map the keys in the game and the letter keys are replaced by numbers eg. "w" is replaced by the number "7". Please help.

Whenever I insert a game disc, it will search for content and come up with autoplay options for pictures. For DVD movies it's normal but for games it is different.
