In the last month i got 6-7 random BSODS. My system specifications:
- x64.
- the original installed OS on the system? - YES.
- FULL RETAIL
- 3 years.
- Install date: 11.12.2010
this BSOD problem has been getting worse and worse , i dont know if its a virus or not ive used multiple different anti virus and malware programs and they come up with nothing . Well basically whenever im playing my games my entire OS crashes at random times and the other times it will go straight to the BSOD and memory dump , ive loaded the DMP files on the attachments just the three latest DMP files from my crashes
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy desktop keeps stuttering every few minutes or so. I have all of the drivers up to date and I cannot figure out what is wrong. The problem occurs the most while watching Netflix and playing games, but happens pretty regularly in general.

I keep getting BSODs while using my computer.I'm not familiar with software and OS interfaces,I have an HP laptop dv7-1451nr.I have windows 7 ultimate x64. My laptop is around 3-3.5 years old now and I recently reformatted with the windows 7 ultimate OS. My friend look at the hardware for me and we found one RAM stick was bad and took it out so now I'm down to 2GB of RAM. The BSODs seem to happen mainly while I'm either trying to play a game, while those are the most consistent I sometimes get random BSODs doing what I can do right now on this computer.

all screens go black(like when they do when you set a other resolution) and back to normal resolution. when game resolution isn't different from the desktop resolution. and cause i ussually have a series running on one of my other monitors i can't see them cause well desktop thinks it not on its desktop resolution(or for what ever other reason it is that video won't show on second monitor if there is a game up on your main monitor that is not on ur normal desktop resolution).
this doesn't happen with every game though and can't really figure it out. if u need any info, or have no idea what i'm talking about(don't really know how to explain this very wel) post for more details.
when i get the BSOD while playing WoW or Watching shows in my comouter.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have issues with my desktop. I randomly get the bsod (kernel data inpage error). I thought it started after I installes the new ATI drivers. So I tried older drivers but without any result. After that I thought it was an issues with Win 7 64bit. So I installed 32bit. But still I get the bsdod.

i get a little stutter every 2-3 seconds with everything that involves motion pictures e.g games, movies, online games, Internet etc. my music does the same too.happened when i fell asleep watching a movie on Internet, woke up and my screen was black but the pc was still running. turned pc off and back on at the wall, started Internet to watch movie from when i fell asleep.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having quite a few blue screens lately after installing and playing a few games I bought off the Summer Sale not too long ago, and they seem to be jumping all over the place as to what the issue really is. It was mainly when I would play the game "Saint's Row the Third", which would result in a random BSOD between a few minutes to an hour or so of play, if the game itself didn't crash first for some reason, but I just recently installed TF2 for the first time on this new machine of mine and I've gotten several BSOD a day now as a result. Like... Now I get about 3+ crashes a day, and almost always guaranteed a crash whenever I try to run that game, compared to before where it was isolated to SR3 or the occasional one here or there.I got a message about a .sys file related to Avast! Anti-Virus trying to access memory after it was freed in a BSOD message earlier on, and it improved my stability quite a bit after I uninstalled the whole progam, but I've had a few more crashes since I wiped that out earlier today.

I also thought it would be the heat or the usage of memory but i still haven't found what the problem is i keep getting random BSOD's about usbport.sys and other but i get more error codes....
basically my old 6870 card died because of numerous BSODs it had over the 6 months throunh flash videos and it killed it with artifacts. I can never watch a video or play a game in its entirety without having to sit through numerous "freezes", or whatever it is. The little spinning icon just keeps going round and round.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe problem is that I will get a system lock up, or freeze when playing games like Portal 2 or FM2012. The freezes are very random however they occur the most when trying to play Co-op in Portal 2 (say about 80% of the time when trying to play it). However with the likes of FM2012 or other games, I can literally play for hours on end without a crash, but other times a crash could happen within about 5 mins.I also seem to randomly crash if I watch a HD video in full screen (1920x1080) however I cannot recall such a problem watching it minimized (using VLC). I also used to get random crashes while browsing the internet on certain websites, however I haven't had this issue since upgrading my RAM.
When the PC does crash, the monitor will just black out and if sound was playing at the time it will usually loop or repeat. The only thing I can do is a hard reboot and upon restarting the PC it will say about the unexpected shut down and to start windows normally however I don't seem to get any minidumps. I've had this problem now for quite awhile, and at first it was something I just overlooked as a random occurance but now its starting to drive me crazy! My system specs are as follows:[CODE]
I upgraded my graphics card driver 2-3 days ago with no problems until today when my laptop crashed couple of times when I was playing LeagueOfLegends, and again when playing a video (using VLC). When I disable my graphics card driver all is fine, but when I play a game with the graphics card enabled I get a blue screen.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having issues with a computer I've built recently. Whenever I play games like WoW, Killing Floor, and now Diablo 3... I'll be able to play for awhile, but maybe after 30min to an Hour my computer will just crash. Black Screen on monitors, sounds coming from speakers (no music continues normally. It's more like the last sound going "ErerrrrrrRGghhhhh" lol). No blue screens or anything. Now... I originally thought it could be a GPU issue. But i've already RMA'ed one card, and gotten a new one. This one has run pretty well so far. But I don't know. I'd feel awkward RMAing another card.I've performed Stress tests on both my CPU and RAM for at least 4hours on each with no errors coming up for either.SO I am kind of stumped. I was reading "BSOD while playing games" and thought my issue was a bit similar.I went through the steps that writhziden had posted in that thread. Disk Check - I had no errors on any of my drives. SFC - I had ran that before a few times. And finally the Verifier, which caused my system to crash in regular start-up. But it was fine in safe mode.

my computer is recently crashing, I recently had some work done to it hardware wise and they had to do a fresh Windows 7 install because of all the hardware changes that Vista couldn't handle. They said if you do a lot of hardware changes, especially the motherboard you'd have to do a fresh install of Vista, and I said just do Windows 7. So a month it was working wonderfully on extensive games and recently maybe within this week my computer would randomly when loading games crash to the motherboard splash screen. Then when my computer starts up I see an AMD popup, and a Windows has recovered from an unexpected crash.
View 4 Replies View RelatedA while ago my USB ports came detached, and a few days ago my last one finally broke off. I called Dell Tech Support asking for a number, and the person on the phone insisted on using remote access to uninstall/reinstall/install drivers for me, despite the fact that the USB drive itself was rattling around insidehey then sent someone out to replace the motherboard. After the MB was replaced, I immediately plugged in my brand new 2TB external hard drive, and copied all of my .iso game files. After that I started getting random shut downs with no warning, no freezing, and no blue screen. I would be using my computer, and all of a sudden it would be turned off. At the time, I'm pretty sure I was playing Sid Meiers Civ 5.
I called Dell back, and they said they would send someone out to replace the motherboard again. I called on Thursday, May 3rd, about an hour after the guy who replaced my MB for the first time left my house. Later that night, my computer started freezing up, with audio stuck on repeat in a half second loop or so, and I would have to shut it down manually. Then it started BSODing.Today (May 8th) they replaced my MB, Heat Sink, and Fan. This time I was able to play Civ 5 for about 10 minutes before it blue screened. I then transferred the .iso file to my computer instead of my external, and I was able to play for perhaps an hour, hour and a half before it blue screened.
If I have both my monitors enabled and try to start a game such as CS:S or TF2, it puts it into an infinite loading screen and I can never get to the main menu. The only way to fix this is to play in windowed mode or disable the second monitor. Has any body heard of a fix for this?
View 7 Replies View RelatedSince last weeks I've had multiple BSOD's and it seems to happen mostly while I play games through steam. Games like GTA4, The witcher 2 and Sleeping dogs cause the crashes while I for some reason can play Shogun Total war 2 for hours without problems. Games that are not connected to steam, like Battlefield 3, seems to work good as well. I don't have any cd/dvd tools like Daemon tools installed.

A few days ago I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits. Immediately I had big problems while watching tv and videos of any kind. My graphic card is a GeForce 8500 GT. Its drivers are updated.
I'm abroad and have only my company laptop wich I have administrator privileges. It has Windows 7 installed and the HDD is encrypted with some software and I'm not sure if I have BIOS access to change boot options. So when I was watching a streming match of football the pc crashed and I forced the shutdown. When I restarted it a BSOD shown up with the message Unmountable Boot Volume. As I'm used to deal with some of this problems but it is my first time on Windows 7 the first thing I tried was normal start up. When windows starts to load, there's no logo on the "starting windows" window and then when the bar starts to load it stops in the next sec and BSOD is shown. Next step was to start on safe mode but the same problem was shown, first the windows "STARTING WINDOWS" with no logo, then a grey window saying "LOADING WINDOWS FILES" then the window where the bar starts to fill but it only takes a sec and the same BSOD appears. Next try was the repair option but the same problem as in safe mode. So as it was now, windows is not starting in any mode.Next step was to try to boot ubuntu from a usb pen I always carry on my trips, but since the HDD is encrypted the first thing to boot is the disk and the password for hdd access, so I cannot boot from the usb with the HDD connected. I then used the laptop with my usb to continue watching the game on the stream channel, but then I really need to have my PC fixed with Windows 7, since I'm not returning home the next days and need to have my home company laptop working because I need to be 24h available to connect me. What I'm thinking is download and burn a Windows 7 DVD from M$ servers and try to access the command prompt while booting. Then try the check disk command and see if it works. I'm also downloading Hiren's boot cd or partedmagic to try different things.Next problem will be to boot from CD but since I didn't tried yet I cannot tell you if I can or cannot, but with the HDD connected I think it will be difficult since the first screen to be shown is always the encryption hdd software asking for password.Since the hdd is encrypted I think I will not be able to backup my files which can be a problem too.Do you have any suggestions? How can my windows 7 not start in safe or repair mode?Remember I'm abroad and that laptop is the only thing I have to work with at home, so no desktop to connect the HDD, no backup HDD to save files and no recordable DVDs (that I guess I'll need to buy to boot from Windows 7 CD). The only thing I have is a 4GB usb pen with ubuntu and a 16GB pen with work documents that can save some files

When playing most games and watching movies their will be freezing and/or audio problems with audio cutting in and out. Whats truly strange is by running a scan on malware bytes the problems seem to go away and then immediatly return after the scan completes. I have updated my drivers, ran countless different anti-virus programs and searched throughout google yet I still have no solution.
