I can go into safe mode with internet and it works. But when I go into Windows 7 the normal way I get this "Microsoft Windows applications has stopped working" Sounds like a software issue but not sure how to fix. It appears all drivers are installed in Devce Manager.
View 1 RepliesI had this error pop up twice about 7months ago then it went away on its own, and has just now came back and with a vengeance and I cant seem to find anything about fixing it. It tends to happen whenever I open anything on my computer, like if I goto control panel or etc., it will like freeze up for 10 seconds then start working. Here's a pic of the error logs that the problem report page gives me. And all the errors even those dating back to 7 months ago are all exactly the same. Computer Details - Windows 7 64ATI 5870 GPU1000W Coolermaster Powersupply6gb Corsair Ram. I think it might've started recently when I downloaded webroot onto my computer after removing Avira Free.

I've been using the same outlook 2010 for over a year now, with no problems..2 days ago I started getting 'Microsoft Outlook has stopped working' messages. The message pops up every time after about 30 seconds from starting Outlook. I've made another outlook account under a different windows profile and it works just fine..so not sure what the problem is. In recent months, when I close down the outlook, a Microsoft pops up states 'Microsoft word has stopped working'. If the pop up isn't closed, for some reason Microsoft word opens up, and when I do need to open Microsoft word, this freezes and takes ages to open up, also on closing, it freezes again, and it is stated in start task manager 'as not responding.

And this site is remains completely blank: thisissand.com. These applications do work fine on Internet Explorer, but no matter what I try, it won't work on Firefox. Some other things, like Flash movies on [URL] work just fine on Firefox. I've already tried re-installing Flash. Tried an older version of Flash. Tried disabling Flash safe mode. Nothing changes.

View 5 Replies View RelatedRecently my wife's HP G62 laptop running Home Pro 7 has started having am intermittent keyboard. At first I thought it was the wireless USB keyboard/mouse she had plugged into the machine, but the same happens with just the built in keyboard (the mouse seems to function fine). The problem is that randomly the keyboard will stop working in applications and won't work again until a reboot. The keyboard seems to work fine in safe mode and actually works fine for typing in things like the run box in the start menu, but it will cause firefox and microsoft office to hang. I cannot seem to find what is triggering this condition (coming out of sleep mode, etc.), but it sometimes can be fast, other times it can take a day until it happens again.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently renewed my internet security subscription. Immediately after doing so, the Calendar and Weather gadgets stopped working. The Calendar shows up as a blank orange/white square and opening up the Weather gadget will just reveal the "i" information symbol and a X close button, neither of which actually work.
Clock gadget also stopped working but then after an hour later it started working again and has been working since. I have tried deleting/uninstalling the gadgets but that hasn't worked. I have tried several tricks with the Windows command prompt which doesn't work either.
I'm considering using an automatic system restore (I don't have any manual saved points to restore) on just the gadgets themselves. Is that the way to go, or is there something else I could try? I've decided to name it: McAfee. I didn't at first, because it's been my experience whenever I mention a problem and mention an antiviral program.
I mention McAfee because it's an odd thing: I've searched forums and have found that others have had the almost the same problem; except with them it happens when you UNINSTALL McAfee, not renew it. I've also found another possible solution that involves deleting a registry key, but I'm way too nervous to try that.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIt initially started when I downloaded a torrent that was a folder containing a video. Once the download had completed I attempted to open the folder but I got the message "Windows Explorer has stopped working - windows is checking for a solution to the problem", then a different windows pops up with "Windows explorer is restarting". After a few seconds the start bar vanishes then comes back almost immediately. I thought that possible the folder I had downloaded was corrupt so tried deleting it, but when I right clicked on the folder I got the same. I used a program called Glary utilities to permanently delete the folder and that did the trick.A few days passed and I used utorrent to download another, different video, which was also contained in a folder, and I am having the same message come up on this one - "Windows Explorer has stopped working - windows is checking for a solution to the problem" This is the only folder, as far as I'm aware, that this happens with. One time when I tried to open it the following came up instead of the usual "windows explorer has stopped" - The instruction at 0x0a04b890 referenced memory at 0x033f3d0e. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate this program. run scndisk, chkdisk, spybot S&D, malwarebytes, Avast and Microsoft security essentials and some registry cleaners/fixers but nothing has helped. I also downloaded a program called "WER_Explorer" which apparently creates a dump file whenever the error occurs, but I can't open make any sense of it all. I downlaoded the above program from [URL]. I can access the folder when I run in safe mode, and the folder is shared on a home network and I can access it from my laptop.
