Windows 7 was not functioning well, so it was re-installed using restore option, then MS Office 2007 was installed, but then on right clicking the desktop, in the new option ms office 2007 programs are not visible, but folder is visible.... whereas those programs are visible in start menu.

I am also looking to add Microsoft Word 2007, and Microsoft Outlook 2007 to that right-click drop down menu too. I would assume, I may be wrong, but would these be conducted or setup the same way like OneNote is? I use these applications a lot and it would make things a little quicker and easier.
I am looking to have it incorporated into the context menu using/running a script with a simple clean code (please no hex code) that I can run to make the quick accurate changes. I am also looking to add a small icon next for each Office program that is the actual program representation in the context menu as well. Please do not provide me the manual method steps to perform this function to the registry. Please provide a completed REG file attached to your response or a Windows System Registry script I can therefore make my own REG file from. I am not interested in a third party program either that would perform this action as well.
I am trying to install office 2007 as part of a system rebuild after installing a new hard drive. I get a window saying install was successful, I can open power point or excel but when I try to open word it hangs up at the word logo page. I have done remove programs in control panel, I have used revo uninstall to try to clean the registry. I suspect a corrupted fragment in the registry but don't know how to get at it.

I used Windows Backup and saved it to my external hard drive. Now I have almost identical files and folders there and on the now visible Recovery drive. TBUH, when making the backup several options appeared and I checked one without being 110% sure it was right.
Did possibly I do something not right? What need I do to correct anything wrong, including which folders and files I may safely delete? What advice do I need for future?
I now have a new problem, before I managed to open 2007 files by opening Office 2010 and then from inside the application choosing to open a file. The problem I have though is if I just try to open an Office 2007 file then I can't open it, and I can't change the default program to open it. How do you get Office 2010 to open all the Office 2007 files such as word, excel etc?

When I try to "open with", the only option displayed is "Microsoft Office" with an icon that looks like a picture file. There was a nasty virus on it that I managed to get rid of, but now programs won't run unless I first right click and click "Run as Administrator". Shortcuts also won't work (I assume for the same reason.) Does anyone know of a fix for this so we don't have to constantly click "Run as Administrator"? I have two monitors configured as one and keep all desktop items on one of them. I have a recent installation of Windows 7 Professional 3 weeks ago.The past 2 days, Word 2007 will not open when i double click a .docx document from Explorer.For a couple of seconds a 'spinning wheel' is displayed...and then nothing.I went to Control Panel, Defaults, and checked the Application for .docx and it is Word.The strange thing is that sometimes it does work.I am clicking very fast And Windows 7 does display the spinning wheel for a second or two.
