View 1 Replies View RelatedEpson's Web site shows that the Stylus Photo R200 driver is built-in on Windows 7: [URL]
I have one shared out on my home network and when I try to add it on my Windows 7 64-bit PC it fails saying it cannot locate a driver.
I have TWO computers on a "home" network (Work group, NOT Win 7 Homegroup).Computer A is new and runs Windows 7 Home Premium. Computer B is "old" and runs Windows XP Professional. Computer A has two printers attached; Epson Stylus Photo R200 and a Lexmark X3690. Both of these printers work well with Computer AComputer B has an HP LaserJet printer on the parallel port LPT1. Computer A can print documents to the LaserJet on PC B as well as photos and documents to the Epson and Lexmark printers. Computer B can print to to the laserjet and the Lexmark BUT NOT the Epson. When I try to "add" the Epson to the printers on PC B there is a message that computer A does not have the correct driver for the printer. The same message occurred when I initially "added" the Lexmark to PC B, but I was able using the CD supplied with the Lexmark to located the 32bit driver and load it onto PC A.
I tried to do the same thing with the Epson but failed to find the driver on the CD. I have tried downloading a 32 bit Epson driver from the Epson site, (using compatability mode) but even after doing that I cannot add the Epson printer to Computer B - the same message that PC-A does not have the correct driver.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've had my Epson 636U scanner for many years, and looking at the reviews of current flatbeds, none seem to be holding up as well as this. I was a bit reluctant to gut my machine and move from XPPro/SP3 to Win7/64, but with some judicious digging around, I was able to find the process to get it working. Tried this on my testbed system and it works.
I got mine working on Windows 7 (x64) by doing the following:
1. Download the Windows 7 Epson Scan driver for the Perfection 2400 from the
epson site
2. Allow the drivers to unzip, but cancel the install. You should have an EPSON directory created.
3. In Notepad File->Open and browse for the es27.inf files in the EPSON directory as well as subdirs
4. On line 51, 54, and 57 replace PID_011B with PID_0101
5. Save the files.
6. Run Setup.exe from the Epson directory and select the 2400. Say ok to the window that pops up and it should start installing the drivers.
7. Connect and turn on the scanner.
8. You're done!
In Photoshop you should then be able to import using WIA-Epson Perfection 2400
(importing with Epson Perfection 2400 causes Photoshop to freeze)
How do I install the printer driver for Epson Cx1500 on Windows 7 operating system?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI can't, after switching to 32-bit Windows 7, get my trusty, faithful Epson Perfection 640U to work. XP was fine, no problem, but it seems to me that Epson have (has?) abandoned this fine scanner as there is no 640U listed in the Microsoft Support section @ EpsonPerhaps there is a driver in the Microsoft Support section, intended for another Perfection scanner that would work? I'm this close to downgrading to XP or else grapple with a virtual XP installation inside Windows 7. Which is slightly less pleasant than having teeth pulled. W/o the benefit of anesthetic
