View 1 RepliesI am playing a game, that game is a full screen game being displayed on one monitor, and I have itunes open in the other monitor. The song changes, and I dont like it, I can free my mouse, and move it to the other monitor, but if I click anything, Windows sees that as me wanting to focus the desktop, so it minimizes the game.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWindows 7 keeps minimizing every hour to desktop no matter what is running. I ran process explorer just before the time it should lose focus and only one program launched a minute before it does so, taskhost.exe. I tried to run with all processes killed (including explorer.exe) and that also gave good result, it didn't minimize, however I know not which of the processes does this.I first noticed the problem as screensaver quits on it's own after a while (despite the fact it has to quit on click or key press)
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had this issue for a few days now. Any game I play or any movie I watch, if its on full screen, it will lose focus or minimize to desktop within 1-2 minutes. There are no error messages, and I can't find a single thing to help me. Yesterday, I downloaded a registry cleaner, and after it cleaned the errors, I could use full screen apps very well. Then I shut my computer down for the night, and when I woke up today, and started the computer, the problem started as well. [code]
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have Intel Motherboard DG965RY and intel has discontinued support for it and there are no drivers for Windows 7. I have tried to install Intel Motherboard drivers that comes with CD and it did not install properly in Windows 7. And because of this System hangs within 5 mins from Windows Logon time. Does Microsoft provide any supporting drivers for this?.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a system based on Intel's S5520SC motherboard - Dual Xeon 5580, 12 GB RAM, Radeon 4870, etc. I'm running Window 7 Ultimate RTM 64-bit and having all kinds of performance problems. One of the more strange things is that even when there is really nothing running on my system the task Manager shows activity on all 16 threads
Aside from the first thread, all the rest of the threads show busy, then slowly ramp down to no activity, and then jump back to busy again. This repeats every minute or so.
When I go to the Processes tab in the Task Manager there are no processes using any CPU.
I suspect this may be related to the performance problems I am having. For example just typing this message I get pauses ever couple of seconds for a second or so. Other applications have similar pauses in them. Often when I'm playing audio there are pauses every few seconds or so.
Does anyone have any ideas on what may be going on with my system.

Quote: Its been rumored that Intel would offer a liquid-cooling solution instead of a stock cooler with its new Sandy Bridge-E extreme processors, and multiple enthusiast sites have indeed snapped photos of the new cooler on the IDF exhibition floor.
From the photos, we can determine that the RTS2011LC cooler has been created in conjunction with Asetek, which had previously announced it was working on a Sandy Bridge-E liquid-cooling solution. According to Legit Reviews, Intel reps said its similar to the Corsair Hydro H70 kit that Asetek designed, but that parts were updated, including a 120mm fan. The fan even includes blue LED lights. While designed with the LGA2011 socket, it will also work with Intels 1155, 1156, and 1366 sockets. Source
Quote: The X79 Express chipset is the successor to the X58 and will be paired to Intels upcoming LGA2011 socket for next-gen processors. The motherboard seen here is the Intel DX79SI, obviously based on the chipset. As its name suggest, the RTS2011LC liquid-cooling solution is also designed for said socket.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm on Windows 7 (7600) Ultimate and up until about a week ago everything was working pretty good, but now applications exit full screen mode on their own.It seems to be totally random, I'll be sat watching a movie in Media Player Classic (or WMP/VLC) and it'll just exit from full screen, at no particular time, for no reason that I can find. It does the same thing if I have iTunes playing (with Visualizer) in full screen mode.As far as I'm aware I haven't changed anything or installed any new software around the time it started happening.
I'd perform a system restore and see if that would help...if "Windows 7 Manager" hadn't deleted them all! I don't have a screensaver so I it's not that triggering the full screen exit. Also, I have to use the mouse before the app will respond, I can't simply use Alt+F, not until I've clicked the mouse.
The fan runs about 4700 rpm all the time. The fan is slightly out of balance so a small vibration can be felt.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI use Windows 7 RC at work. I connect to the internet over company LAN with static IP and manually inserted DNS. My internet connection is OK, everything works, but there is a yellow triangle in the connection icon in tray. If I put the cursor over it, I can read: "Network No internet access"
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have tried shutting it down, when I turn it back on it goes straight to that screen again, no startup or anything. I tried shutting off and unplugging. Turns on straight to blue intel desktop screen again. Tried shutting down, unplugging, pressing power again to make sure it's off. Same thing.
Tried CTRL ALT DELETE, no response. Tried throwing keyboard...nothing...
But why would it stay on this screen even after shut down and unplud for more then 30 seconds? More than a minute?
It is like it was never turned off, and it gives me no options to boot from my backup drive or F8. just turns on to blue intel screen? Running windows 7...
I'm out of ideas. Tried several different drivers, and settings. Using a fresh install of Windows 7 RC. The drivers all seem to "work", by which I mean Windows 7 has no problem with them, but no driver I've tried will let the card actually talk with anything. It keeps trying to find a DHCP address and always comes up with a 169 address. Even when I specify a static IP it still won't see anything on the network.
DHCP is working for my on board NIC, and this card works in my XP installation on this same PC.
The driver that seems to "work" the best so far is this: Download HP Intel PRO/1000 Gigabit Driver 13.5.00 Rev.C for Vista64 Driver for Windows Vista64 - Softpedia
With that driver I actually get all of the nifty features in the driver properties page, and I've run all of it's diagnostic tests which all come up green.
Also worth nothing: I had this same problem with Windows 7 Beta.
I am trying to install the latest audio driver for the Intel® Desktop Board DG965SS under Windows 7 Beta x64.
Intel® Desktop Board DG965SS Audio: IDT* 92XX Driver
However, when it goes to configure the driver I get the error:
Device Object not present, restart the system and run setup again.
I get this running the installer in normal and compatibility modes.
Any help on how to get around this error, or a point in the right direction for the correct driver would be greatly appreciated.
