upgraded my O/S from windows professional XP 64-bit with a clean install of windows 7 Professional x-64. The motherboard is an Intel D972XBX2, and the PC that it is installed in works just fine. The devices connected to the on-board SATA connectors include a 500GB Hitachi HDD and a Lite-on DVD-ROM drive, and I do not have any problems with these. However, indications in Device Manager are that no driver has been installed for the serial ATA controller, and this is a big puzzle that has me stumped. I am unable to find any compatible driver from either the Intel driver download center, or microsoft windows update, for this component and I am unable to get any assistance from Intel Tech Support. This is simply because the D975XBX2 mother board is no longer made by them. I've had this PC for almost four years, and all hardware passed the Microsoft windows 7 hardware compatibility test which convinced me to follow through with the upgrade to this operating system.
Intel D975XBX2 Marvell SATA driver needed for Windows 7
Installed Windows 7 (62 bit) onto Intel D975XBX2 ATX Motherboard.
I can not get windows to recognize the SATA drives attached to the internal Marvell card.
BIOS see the drives, just not windows.
Attempted to install both Windows XP 64 and Vista 64 Intel drivers (STOR_allOS_8.7.0.1007_PV), but the install fails with "system does not meet the minimum requirements)
I mave managed to get USB Storage Devices to work, but things like usb printers are not working. The problems will be described in the following images. The Devices give the error 28 (no driver). Here are some pics- [URL]. I cant find any such driver. No system restore
I recently purchased a Logitech USB headset, and it worked fine for the first few days I had it. I noticed, however, about two days after the purchase that it failed to work. My USB mouse worked fine, however, so I figured it was the headset. I discarded the headset and continued using the built-in microphone. Later, however, when I had to restart my system in order to install an update, my mouse stopped working as well (they work fine on other computers). I looked to see what the problem was in the Device Manager, and my Universal Serial Bus driver was apparently damaged.
As well as my Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller and my Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller. I attempted to uninstall, reboot my system, and then let Windows automatically reinstall the drivers, but they always fail to do so in the middle of the installation process. I then attempted to do a system restore the day before both the Windows update and then before the problems with the USB headset, but the problem persisted. If all else fails, I might have to reformat, but I do not want to have to result to that extreme since I cannot salvage anything of value onto an external hard drive.
The PCI to USB Controller has the error: Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)
The OpenHCD USB controller has the error: Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)
The Universal Serial Bus USB Controller has the error: The Drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28). The system cannot find the file specified. To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.
I currently run on an HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC and run Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 (64-bit)...
I'm having trouble installing the drivers for a Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller in Windows 7 on a Gateway/Motion Computing M1300 tablet.
Before you say "DriverMax" please note that Windows 7 is the only operating system installed on the tablet. I hope there's another way to get it working.
Here's the thing that strikes me as odd: I have gotten it to work perfectly, but as soon as I restart it goes back to its old ways (default VGA controller driver, etc).
Here's what I do to get it working:
1) I run the setup file that came with the driver I downloaded from Intel (version 14.19.50), either natively or in Windows XP compatibility mode,
2) The setup software asks me to restart, and I comply
When the computer boots back up after those steps everything is working just fine, BUT then a Windows prompt appears telling me that I need to restart in order to complete the driver configuration. When I restart hardware once again has trouble.
My real problem with not having the correct driver installed is not that display functions are lost (though they are), but that the Hibernate and Stand By modes are disabled.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a way to keep Windows 7 from reverting to the old driver?
Driver update program says new driver available 1.0. Any issues regarding updating this driver. No problems needed. Dell Inspirion laptop Win 7 Home Prem. 64bit 4gb ram
just done a clean install retail Windows 7 Home Premium OS and have not been able to locate driver for the above. I used the disc which came with the computer for drivers etc and managed to install everything that was showing driver needed except for this. I have not used any USB devices as yet so is totally clean.
As some of you know I recently built my first computer and have limited experience with everything. I just noticed I have been getting this error and cannot find a fix.The device for Universal Serial Bus (usb) controller is not intalled. Install the latest driver for the device.I went to the Intel website to try and find a fix but got confussed becasue am not sure what my chipset is? I intalled one program but it didn't fix the problem.
my driver updater asked me to update this driver (standard AHCI 1.0 serial ATA controller)..but i cannot do it using the software coz my internet connection is slow. So,i want to download it manually.Where can i get this driver?
When I enter device manager I see the Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller with an orange explanation mark next to it. I need to get drivers for it where can I get them from (windows could not get any). Also im on my newly buily gaming pc on windows professional 64 bit.
I am running Win 7 service pack 1 [code] Device Manager says that drivers are not installed for the Universal serial bus controller. message reads:' The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.' Windows cannot find any drivers when I get it to check for them.
I am performing a clean install to Win 7 Ultimate on an older Dell Precision 530. Running into the usual driver errors and have one that I can't locate...
I need a Win 7-compatible driver for a Intel(r) 82801BA/BAM AC'97 Audio Controller. It is a sound card that is embedded into the motherboard. I have searched for days but cannot locate a driver that works. The few I found said they work but do not.
I bought a new laptop now and I am not so well with the technology it says: Intel Corporation driver update for Intel(R) Management Engine Interface so what do I need to do now?
Whatever this is has really messed up my computer! I can't play any DVDs or any video that uses Flash or Shockwave! I'm getting desperate, I have used Driver Genius Professional to no avail.Intel no longer offers any kind of support, I have tried downloading their general driver but every time it locks up and crashes, I assume for the same reason the Flash and Shockwave does.
I am going to be getting 2 new WD10EALS drives in the next day or so. My plan was to put them in raid using the onboard ICH10R controller on my mobo (an ASUS Sabertooth X58). I had wanted to run WDTLER to turn TLER on, but after reading some reviews it seems I might not be able to as it is reported WD disabled TLER on these drives completely.
Im curious if there is a way to change the timeout for the drives in the matrix storage controller? So if I do have an issue my raid won't die (I'll be using these drives in raid 0 for gaming only). I dont care about the data, I just don't want to have to go thru the hassle of reinstalling the games should a drive get dropped from the array. I am thinking about getting a wd green 2tb drive for backups but just curious if there is a way to change timeout via the controller.
edit: And by change timeout I mean how long the controller waits for the disk before dropping it from the array, like could i set it too 2.5 mins just to be sure?
