Windows 7 Won't Allow To Retrieve Saved Games From " Documents/my Games/oblivion"
Oct 26, 2012Windows 7 won't allow me to retrieve my saved games from my " documents/my games/oblivion" Says it cant find the codec. What codec is that? Did search on codec and it appears I don't have any.

When introduced a CD Rom into the drive, it has all the autostart functions for movies, pics, documents, but instead of starting the games directly, It allways ask me to open the file, movies or pics, but the game never starts automatically as It used to do in the past Windows versions, and in Windows 7 BEFORE SP1. It's imposible to play games that require the insertion of the disc into the CD Rom Drive, for the same reason.Im running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and have a LG Super Multi RwDVD +R DL Light scribe multirecorder.

Nov 5, 2009ok so i have a problem thats been driving me insane. my toshiba F50 was working totally fine until suddenly during games my GPU started overheating quickly during games (Was not doing this before) i noticed that my fan didnt seem to be spinning as fast as before. i cleaned it still no avail, tried riva tuner and ntune and all of that jazz and all of them have the fan control options greyed out? (cannot use them)i noticed that when i start the laptop the POST test on the fans guns the fan to 100% speed so i know its capable of doing it. it seems like the fan doesnt know to speed up when it gets hot and it keeps shutting my system down and i reallllly dont feel like damaging my GPU. i tried rolling back my drivers and running the latest drivers.

Dec 16, 2011When I click on games in my start menu only the games on my c drive show. I ran out of space on the c drive practically the day I bought it (SSD), so now I install games to my D drive. I tried dragging the .exe start file over to the games window and it did copy the icon over but I get a message that the game has stopped working when I click it, followed by automatic error reporting to Microsoft after.

Jun 3, 2012I have been having some ongoing issues with my PC. The latest is that it will restart itself consistently whenever I am playing any game from Shogun 2 to Starcraft 2 to Skyrim to League of Legends. It does not BSOD, it only restarts itself whenever I am in game. Sometimes it does it right away as soon as I start the game, other times it goes for twenty minutes before it restarts.My PC is an Alienware AURORA_R2, Processor is Intel Core i5 760 @ 2,80Ghz, 12.0 GB RAM, 64-bit Operating System Windows 7 Home Premium and Service Pack 1. My Display adapters are two ATI Radeon HD 5670 cards.

Oct 9, 2012I've tried 3 games so far. Max Payne 3 and Sleeping Dogs doesn't work but Botanicula does. Max Payne 3 and Sleeping Dogs are complaining for missing .dll files but I doubt that Windows 7 optimized .dll files will solve the issue.
The games' setup were run on Windows 7 targeted to an external drive, and I'm trying to use the same drive with the Windows 7 games installed on Windows 8 right now. So do I have to reinstall them on Windows 8?
Note that the Windows 7 Compatibility Mode for the .exe files didn't work.

Windows 7 FPS Drop On Games
Jun 21, 2012I'm having some trouble (it started about 3 days ago, playing Diablo III) with FPS drops on games. I was playing D3, alt-tabing be cause of a skype chat (adding and removing ppl) and after lot of alt-tabing the FPS dropped to 10. I restarted the client, still FPS 10. Restarted the PC, it works fine. I thought it might have been a bug on the alt-tabing thing, until the next day where I had this same problem with Skyrim two times, once after playing for about 2 hours and another after playing for about 1 hours, then exiting the game and reloading because of a internal Skyrim bug. There seem to be no temperature problems on my CPU or GPU, I'm monitoring and unfortunately I cant emulate the problem for now...

Mar 4, 2010I have been doing a lot of searching around and have found COUNTLESS forum threads about people having problems with their games.First let me say: this is NOT related to Hard Drive Hitching, this is related to stuttering. I find many people on those forms would reply with "defrag the hard drive", which is not related to stuttering.Ok, so reading thread after thread on this problem I have found something that is playing a huge roll into this. One of the biggest fixes I read about is "roll back to the older video drives . . ." and a lot of people said that worked, but it seemed for the majority this didn't work. It certainly didn't work for me.Alright, here is the deal. I too suffer these damn "micro" stutters. You notice them mostly when looking down on the ground in your games and moving forward as well walking forward and looking to the side at the same time. It's hella-annoying.
Time after time, fresh install, tweaking the OS out, changing this changing that. Even latest and greatest drivers.Then I found out the most interesting thing about this problem: chipset drivers. Before I go into this I want to mention that in Windows XP Pro I do not have 'any' stuttering in my games whatsoever.Ok, the big find in Windows 7 that's causing these stutters (from what I have researched) thus far. Windows 7 is not allowing me to actually install the chipset drivers. After downloading the drivers either from Intel or Gigabytes webiste neither will install. (yes, I do "Run as Administrator" )However the chipset drivers for the SATA hardware 'does' install, but the PCI bus and everything else, Windows 7 refuses to use those drives and instead only uses the Microsoft drivers.I have NO doubt in my mind that this is why myself and thousands of others are having these stuttering problems due to the chipset drivers not being properly installed by the OS itself.lright, so what can I do to get Windows 7 to use/install my Chipset drivers, and has anyone ever heard of this? I run the inf installer (run as administrator) and sure enough as I watch it install it only goes off and installs the SATA drivers and turns around and tells me it's completed. Going into Device Manager the PCI Bus and other motherboard drivers are using Microsoft drivers only.
