1. I would like to know if there is a way to get the Favorites that is in the left hand navigation panel on the Windows Explorer toolbar beside "Organize.....Open....New folder" (or the very least in the "File....Edit...Tools....View...Help" Menu bar)
2. Is there a way to get the Up functionality in Windows Explorer itself without replacing the Explorer with Classic Shell & the likes?
3. Can I somehow highlight the Parent Folder in the Windows Explorer address bar? That would make navigating extremely easier.
I am missing the Internet Favorites tool bar along with my favorites. When I access the Internet, I get the Google page with no Favorites. If I open another tab, I get "Your Most Popular Sites" instead of Google. I checked my Userprofiles and there is a Favorites folder in my C drive. How can I get the Favorites Toolbar and my saved Favorites back?

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy favorites folder doesn't work.I use to put things like my Homework folder. Now i have to click Computer / Media (I:) / Documents / School. That is a lot of clicks.Sure i can make a shortcut of the folder to my desktop but i am so used to using favorites. It contain desktop. Now everytime i want to save something to desktop i need to go to the top and type it out...before all i did was click. Long story short i relied on Favorites Folder.
Essentially, my Favorites folder is there. However in the navigation pane(the left side) the favorites folder doesn't show anything. Even when I try to add new locations to it " Add Current Location to Favorites". I also tried Restore Favorites link. This stop working after I deleted a whole bunch of folders.I recently had to do a system format. It was working but then i deleted a whole bunch of crap and shared files.Possible solutions:
1) System Image restore to a long time ago. Very time consuming. As my system image contains much more than just Windows. It contains my Media HDD/ Windows HDD/ Software HDD. decompressing and such...i dont want to this option

View 1 Replies View RelatedSystem Restore will not create a restore point or restore to a previous date & time. The error message was: A restore point could not be created: An error was detected in the Volume Shadow Copy Server (VSS).The problem occurred while trying to contact VSS writers. Verify that the Event System Sevice and the VSS service are running & check for associated errors in the event logs (0x80042318).Volume Shadow Copy is started & running (done in system events).Event System Sevice and the VSS service are started and running. But no cigar, SR still broken.
View 9 Replies View Relatedhow I can copy my Favorites from one PC to another? I've just had a new PC that's running on Windows 7 with IE9 and I'd like to get my Favorites from my old PC that runs on XP and IE8.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFirst I tried drag-and-drop. Then the "add to favorites bar" star with the green arrow at the left end of the favorites bar. Finally selected the favorites bar at the top of the regular "add to favorites" procedure.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy biggest (albeit minor) complaint with IE9 is that 'locking' the Favorites window to its position on the left side of the browser has become somewhat tedious. Most know, but in IE8, the 'star' was on the tool bar above the left side browser, making it easy to click the star, click the 'lock' arrow and drag links from the address bar to whatever Favorites folder was desired. Now, one must click on the right side, click the lock arrow and then move the mouse to the left side to access. Much less efficient, IMO.Is anyone aware of a shortcut that makes this process easier? I know Alt+C will make the window appear, but ideally, I'd like to move the Star icon back to the left side.
