Jan 12, 2013The comp started BSOD'ing out of nowhere, a new adapter I think called ISATAP or something like that shows up under network adapters in device manager which had a yellow exclamation icon. (Code: 31). Disabling or uninstalling its drivers resulted in BSOD's. Googled around and found the only way to fix it was to delete some registry entries, so without backing up the registry I deleted some keys. I don't remember which keys but the image above is the result. I got Ubuntu live booted up and using it to post this because my Win 7 installation obviously can't connect to the Internet.
*I tried reinstalling drivers (Marvel Yukon & Belkin), disabling and enabling stuff but nothing seems to be happening.
*Got some registry fixing tools or whatever, still the same.

Dec 20, 2012My OS is Windows 7 32 bits. I checked base video in boot option in msconfig and also checked make all boot settings permanent. So my window always boots with low resolution mode. Therefore I rechecked base video, checked all boot settings permanent, applied, ok and then restarted the windows. OK. Windows is starting, that's ok yet. My screen resolution is normal. And then My startup programs started, after a few seconds, My screen resolution changed to low immediately. I think I can't disable base video mode in msconfig.

(I already read and understood your message: don't use those tools and stay out of your registry. Dec 27, 2009After a power cut, I can't connect to my router and as a result to the internet anymore. It keeps telling me the network is unidentified. I downloaded my motherboard's network driver (Asus M3N78-VM), installed it, then through Upgrade I selected the driver from NVidia as opposed to Microsoft. Did not work.
I then tried to Uninstall network drivers, or Disabling them. When doing that, my PC is in an infinite loop to uninstall the driver, or to disable it. Also changing IP setting manually and pressing Close in the Local Area Network window _sometimes_ makes my PC go stuck as well (often after disabling IPv6).
I do not have the Bonjour service running (says the Bonjour removal tool), I do have Adobe PS2 for some time and Adobe Reader.
It's hopeless, I can't think of what is wrong or how to remove the network driver properly. I'm up to a point to reinstall the OS, but that involves a lot of work, so if it can be done without it would be great.

Aug 12, 2012My netbook is running Windows 7 Starter. It is an MSi U135. At random intervals (can be every few minutes to every couple of hours) my connection will show a 'limited connection' and I have to manually disable then enable the network adapter. As soon as I have re-enabled it again the internet will connect. Sometimes it will force me to restart the netbook for it to connect again.
I have tried the following:
- Disabled firewall.
- Uninstalled antivirus.
- Reinstalled the network adapter.
- Completely removed the adapter driver from the system, then downloading one from the Msi website and installing the new driver.
- Changed the router channels to a few different channels.
- Made sure the box which says something like 'allow this device to turn off to save power' is unchecked.
I have tried the ipconfig /renew in CMD as an admin. Also tried the ROUTE 0.0.0.0 command (read somewhere this could fix it). I ensured I didn't have 'bonjour' on the system as I have read this can cause it too.
I even tried reinstalling the OS too. None of the other netbooks in the house does this. (One running Windows 7 Starter and one on XP)

The reason I connect to the wired router is so my PC can talk to a linux machine, which I use for some data downloading/analysis.I want to disable internet from the wired connection but keep the ability to talk to other machines on the wired network. I just changed the IPv4 settings and deleted the DNS server information. Is this the best way to do so? I want the wireless to provide internet.

Jul 29, 2009I have Windows 7 64-bit installed on my PC with Virtual XP Mode installed. I have an application that I installed within Virtual XP. Now I'd like this application to connect my SQL Server installed in Windows 7.
The problem is I can't access any network resource from my XP mode. The funny thing is I can access the internet from it. I tried browsing Entire network and it sees the workgroup but doesn't see the other PCs in the workgroup.
Any suggestion on how to configure this?

Sep 13, 2011As i've mentioned in the title my Realtek Network connector is missing and Windows 7 cant locate it.This happened after my computer went into sleep mode for some odd reason. And whenever i try to re-install my driver it says:
"The RealTek Network Adapter/Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable".
So how can I get it back? So far I've tried:
-Removing my RAM for 10 mins and after that for another 1 hour
-Resetting CMOS from Motherboard
-Re-Installing Windows.
My Motherboard's model is : GIGABYTE GA-H61M-S2V-B3 with 1 x Realtek RTL8111E chip (10/100/1000 Mbit).
