I purchased a new OEM Windows 7 x64 DVD from a well known retailer for a new computer build with all new components. When I tried to install with the Windows DVD to a new empty intel 240 gb SSD the install failed and I was presented the following error.
"Windows encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer. This error can be caused by unplugging a removable storage device such as an external USB drive while the device is in use. Make sure any removable storage is properly connected and then restart your computer."

Mar 2, 2012A friend of mine have a pc with invalid windows 7 installation (I get a message that that I may be a victim and so on...).I have a real original windows 7 pro copy that is still new and wasn't registered yet.Can I register the bad copy with the key of the good one so it will be legal and she want need to reinstall windows 7 (because then she will need to install all the other programs she already install on it).

Also they said it was a regular upgrade disk and would work on any computer. Is this legal or ilegal since its a diff computer?

To make a long story shorter, the computer works fine other than every time you turn it on it reminds you of the illegal copy. I installed it on my laptop that had Vista but was now wondering if it will let me install on my wife's with the illegal version.

So then I thought, that maybe I can't install the RAID drivers from within the OS. So I caused the BSOD on purpose once again, and then with ICH10R RAID activated and Samsung hard disks attached, I choose the Windows 7 Recovery mode in the boot menu. It sees some problem(s), tries to repair, does not succeed and does not ask for drivers (which I put on a USB stick) to install. I also tried to use the command-line in the recovery: "rundll32 syssetup, SetupInfObjectInstallAction DefaultInstall 128 iaStor.inf" but it gave "Installation failed."
So I'm clueless how should I proceed. Do I really need to re-install Windows 7 and load RAID drivers in the Win7 setup? I don't want to install any OS on the RAID, the Windows 7 is and will be on the SSD. I just want to have a RAID-1 backup using those two hard disks.

Feb 12, 2013i tried to download the movie make windows essential from ms website, after the installation, i have noticed that my computer now start to lag (that's right, the whole os is lagging, not in game, or when doing particular things, just lag whenever) and there's a buzzing sound accompany with it if i am playing a Internet video. i was monitoring my task manager and i notice that every lag the cpu usage would get spike up by a bit. the reason why i suspect it is a virus is because when i restart my computer, there's an option that tells me to force restart or close the following programs, but there were no program on the list, just the two options "force restart" and "cancel" what is even more weird is that it doesn't seem to act up anymore after i stopped the avira virus scan, but my computer were being slowed after restart.
