I don't know anything about computers, but turn on the computer for windows 7 I have to press f1 because it is looking for an adapter grahpics card. Then when I get to my screen is says "Catalyst Control Center is not supported by the driver version of your enabled grahpics card. Please update your AMD graphics driver or enable your AMD adapter using Display Manager.I only bout the Dell tower and not a new monitor.
I need to know if anyone knows where to get a window 7 driver for an ATI Radeon X1250 intragrated graphics card? I can not change my screen resolution to be able to load the games that we often play. This system just crashed 5 days ago and it has taken many days to get it back up and running.... Im about to restore Windows XP. My computer is a custom built so if you would need some of the specs here is what I know:Asus M2A-VM Bios version 2.01AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+ 1.80 GhzATI Radeon X1250 Intragrated graphics2.75 Gb RamWindows 7 32bit Home premium with service pack 1
i have install win 7 on my system its is runing nicelu the only problem is that my hardware acceleration is not supported by win 7 because of it my videos play vey slow
Im using a Amd 6950 2gb. Anyways so i noticed after reinstalling windows that it would hang after the first set of program and driver installs (Anti virus, ccleaner, google chrome, etc etc.) And so I started to figure out where the problem was. Found out that windows will start when I uninstall the graphics drivers. Ive tried hotfixes old drivers.
My comp keeps crashing on me. I've tried all of the trouble shooting i've found here from these forums and am still having problems. I've done about 30 fresh installs of windows in the past 6 months trying to get it to work properly. Doesn't matter if i'm running of my onboard video or my added vid cards. Doesn't matter if I run one or both RAM sticks. Doesn't matter if I run one or both vid cards. The pop up I get in the corner is what I've gone with for looking into trouble shooting. It refers to the graphics drivers crashing and then recovering. Doesn't matter if nothing is happening or not. Can sit fine for days, can turn it on and get 10 seconds out of it before it crashes. If i had any codes that it would give me I would help more on the situation. But when it crashes and doesn't recover I get no video; on either monitor. I'm getting very frustrated, this is the first time I've ever had this happen. This is the 4th computer I've built. First to involve any windows newer then XP. XP doesn't run my comp the way I would like it to. Some of the programs I use don't work with the 64-bit XP OS.
I recently rebuilt my pc with a gigabyte ga h77m d3h and core i3 2120 with 512m dedicated to on board graphics. The computer will start fine after you do the fresh install of windows 7 prof. 64 bit with the default video driver from windows. I've updated my bios using gigabyte's @bios tool and I've tried installing th drivers from the disc, from intel's website and with automatic update in device manager. Could a corrupt windows install file cause this issue? I downloaded the ISO from the Microsoft website when I bought the product key.
I just recently got a new SSD and wanted to start fresh with a new Windows 7 install. Thus I dc'd everything and successfully installed windwos 7 professional. However, after I update my graphics card driver (Radeon HD 5xxx series). I get a screen without icons, start menu or anything except the background. Pressing CTR-ALT-DEL gives me a blackscreen, forcing me to reinstall windows again. I tried different version of Catalyst control center (10.4 and the latest one) and they both give the same error.
I get an error message saying "Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows XP(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered." I do, however, have Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. The screen turns black and then flashes white. I can only resume use of my computer if I close out all my chrome tabs multiple times and reopen them.
My HP desktop came with an ATI HD5770, using driver version 8.740.0.0, dated Aug 2010.
Windows update offered an updated driver a couple of months ago, which failed to load.
People here have recommended getting updates from the OEM (HP, in this case) instead of from Windows Update. But HP doesn't offer anything newer than that Aug 2010 version. So I went to ATI and they have the newer driver, version 8.902.0.0 It works.
I have the Intel Q45/Q43 Express Chipset on my Asus P5Q-EM DO motherboard. Video drivers installed with Windows Beta 7057 worked perfectly but when I clean-installed Windows 7100 RC, the drivers were updated to a newer version and now my desktop and background video gets totally corrupted after computer is in use for 20 mins or so. If I minimize and then maximize the window I'm working in it clears it up for a few minutes.
Can anyone tell me how to take the graphics drivers from 7057 and slipstream them into 7100 RC so I can use the RC without pulling my hair out? I tried to "upgrade" the drivers to the old version, but no way to do that. And it has no rollback feature.
I just completed a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit (x86) after formatting my computer, which was previously running Windows XP Professional SP3. Everything during the install went smoothly, but now I'm trying to install my graphics card drivers and it's not working. Before I go further, here are my system 'specs':OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit Mobo: ASUS M2A-VM (Green) Graphics Card: nVidia 9800 GT CPU: AMD Athlon 5400+ The first driver I attempted to install was my motherboard driver. I used the CD that came with the mobo, but the drivers were not compatible with Windows 7 so I had to run the driver under compatibility mode for Windows Vista in order to open the setup, then I installed those drivers. I then restarted and attempted to install my graphics card drivers off the CD that came with my 9800 GT. The first set of drivers that it installed were the PhysX drivers and those installed just fine. It then attempted to install the actually graphics card drivers, but then it said "The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit." I opened up dxdiag and checked under the display tab and it's not showing any hardware under that tab, as if I have no graphics card. I then tried installing the Windows 7 32 Bit drivers that I downloaded from the nVidia site for the 9800 GT but when it does the system compatibility check, and error occurs that says "NVIDIA Installer cannot continue, the graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." I then checked in the device manager under the 'Sound, video, and game controllers' section and only Realtek High Definition Audio is there. I have also installed the drivers for my motherboard found on the ASUS website after selecting the Windows 7 OS. I downloaded and installed the driver under the 'Chipset' section titled 'AMD Chipset Driver V1.3.0.49 for Windows 7 32bit/64bit--(WHQL).'Basically, my computer is not even detecting that I have a graphics card yet my monitor is plugged into the DVI port on my graphics card, and my graphics card is on. Does anyone know what's going on? Better yet, does anyone know where I could find drivers that will work and make my system functional?EDIT: If anyone requires any further information in order to help me with my problem, just let me know and I will get it asap.EDIT2: I just looked in my device manager and I noticed that under the 'system devices' section there is a device with a exclamation point in a yellow triangle called 'PCI Standard PCI-to-PCI bridge'. There is another one with the same name that doesn't have the symbol. Could this perhaps be part of the problem? The error for this device is 'This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12) If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system.' I have a feeling this is the problem. I went into my bios and enabled the "Plug and Play OS" but when I did that it made my computer run INSANELY loud. So I turned it off.

I am looking to sort out my graphics drivers for my new computer and just want to make sure I get it right and so avoid any kind of nightmare, I am sure some of you will be able to point me in the right direction....
I have a GTS250 card installed on my PC running windows 7 64 bit. It is currently using the standard windows drivers would have automatically installed when the computer was put together. I would like to change these to the proper Nvidia drivers so I can have the control panel and more control etc.
This is what I think I need to do: 1. Download correct Nvidia drivers and save somewhere 2. Uninstall the GTS250 device in device manager with remove the software option 3. Boot in safe-mode and run a driver cleaner thingy (which one is free and best??) 4. Restart and run the Nvidia install program
Is this correct? Is it necessary to use a driver sweeper? I have read that the generic driver can just be installed over but I am not sure about this. Is it the uninstall option that I need to use? I have also read that windows will automatically re-install the generic driver from a ‘store’, how can I stop this happening?
