I've got a desktop and a laptop both with Windows 7 on the same LAN and both have their network setting to Home. From my desktop, I am able to add a network location in My Computer to connect to my laptop. However, on my laptop I am unable to connect to my desktop. The desktop shows up in the list of network locations on my laptop but it always times out trying to connect to it and just says there was a problem with the connection. know the problem is not with my laptop because I am able to connect to my other PC as a network location. I really need to be able to connect to my main desktop though.
1)You have two hard drives in your PC. Drive A contains Windows installation and other files. Drive B is an empty drive. Your Motherboard supports RAID 1(additionally 0 and 5) and you want to setup hardware RAID 1. Is it possible to switch HDD to RAID mode, enter RAID BIOS, create array using drive A, copy drive B content to drive A and run RAID 1 using two drives(drive A should rebuild array on next restart and copy mirror drive A on drive B)
2)You have two drives, drive A and drive B running in hardware RAID 1. You need to format drive B, copy drive A's content oto drive B(which should be non-raid drive now) and install non-raid drive B on another PC.
3)You have three drive A, B, C. Drive C contains Windows and other files. You need to setup RAID 1 using drive A and B and then copy Windows from drive C to newly created array consisting of drive A and B.
All three scenarios require no Windows re-installation.
I have a desktop running Windows 7 professional 64-bit.I have a laptop running Windows 7 Home 64-bit.I want to share partitions on the laptop so I can copy files (generally using Syncback) from the desktop to the laptop. So, I go into properties, select Share With and Advanced Sharing. Then into Advanced Sharing where I give the partition a unique name. Then select Permissions.HOW do I set the permission so my account on the desktop can copy files to the laptop? I use the same username and password on both boxes. I specified my username on the laptop and got a user of laptopnameusername. On the desktop I can look in "Network", see the laptop, AND see the shared partition. But, when I try to copy a file from the desktop to the partition I get a "try again" and it says "You need permission to perform this action"I don't want to give "Everyone" full control, but that's the only way I've been able to get this work.

So there I am on memebase on my android phone and I do a weeks worth of catching up, about 150 images saved. go to quickpic, no images there, strange. Rescan media and still not there. Hook up phone to computer and all of the "images" are saved in a .bin format. I am able to open and resave with mspaint fine but to do that 150 times will be SUPER annoying.
I build a website for a company who sells bathroom vanity vancouver area. The site is built with ASP + MS Access. At the beginning, it runs perfect. After a few months, it's running slower. Now the responsing time is around 25 seconds per page. I think I need to convert it to MS SQL. You can check the problem on the following site.
Two days ago I finally bought a new computer. My biggest headache is how to convert files that end in .wps.wdb to something new that I can use.Additionally, I hit a wrong button and now have unintelligent "stuff" on my screen and just hope that all of my files are not similarly affected.

Looking for a nice little (and free) download to convert Microsoft Word Works documents into a PDF format. Right now I have a deskPDF download installed. It works when I select my printer. It then converts and saves the document into a PDF format. However, I get a "Your Free Trial Has Expired!" pop up prior to saving. My options are Activate (which I can't), Continue (which I do) and Buy Now (which I don't). My question is, how long can I continue bypassing this free trial expiration? I'm surprised I'm still allowed to convert to PDF for this long.
Anyway, I checked Programs and it appears I installed the deskPDF 2.5 Professional Edition back in June of 2011, so it's already been six months. Funny thing though, is I distinctly remember where I got the download from and that was at CNET Downloads. So that's what they give away? A trial edition for a paid upgraded version? I guess I don't mind the Buy Now pop up and if it lasts indefinitely, all the better. But aren't there other, more permanent alternatives that aren't trial editions of premium versions?
I am looking for a free program to do what "MakeMKV" will do.convert a video iso file (containing vobs) eg. file1.iso to file2.mkvI'm looking for a 1:1 type conversion not a transcoding.

I have some applications which are spread over 2 or sometimes 3 CD's DVD's.After using the excellent tutorials on the site to create an install USB memory stick for my copy of Windows7, I was wondering how do I do about creating the same thing but for a multipart cd or dvd based application?Often the disc installer asks for disc 2 / 3 etc so I take it that it's not as easy as dragging everything onto the one pen drive. Some of them take a long time to install using traditional optical media, and if I could put them all onto a single pen drive it would be great.
Can I convert a file that I have downloaded fom the internet to mp4 format so that I may view it on TV. I already have the computer and TV set up to view mp4 on the TV.
