View 9 RepliesI have been trying to remove the (trial version) of TuneUp Utilities 2012 from my computer for over 3 weeks. My computer was hesitating and slow to respond to mouse clicks. So, I took a look at this program that cleans up old files, but, decided not to buy it. Mostly out of fear that this was another attempt to create a problem and charging a fee to fix it. The TuneUp Utilities file has been on my computer ever since. I have already uninstalled the program from my Control Panel and I tried Revo Uninstaller Pro (free version). It removed itself from Revo but not from my Program Data files. Another form of web deception where you enter the problem name to a list and they remove it from that list you just created. I can move it around but not into the recycle bin. What is this thing? How can I not have permission to do what I want on my own computer? XP would never do that! Please help me remove TuneUp Utilities 2012 from my computer.I am using Win 7 Pro w/XP mode, SP1, 64bit, i7, IE9.
Errors: You need to provide administrator permission to change these attributes. You need permission to do anything with this file. In fact, I have been using Win 7 without permission ever since I upgraded to it one year ago. My computer still hesitates and is still slow to respond to mouse clicks. The TuneUp Utilities Company is very cooperative though. If you ask the company (aka TuneUpMedia) for help they will eventually sell you another download that will not remove it either..After many emails they will do anything but that. I can uninstall it from my control panel but not from here:C:ProgramDataTuneUp SoftwareTuneUp SoftwareTuneUp Utilities 2012TTUSvclrt.tt or TTUSvc.tt

I've checked the task manager and in the Processes tab it shows it running, or processing, I just cannot see it or access it no matter what I try. I'm getting no error code, nothing out of the ordinary. I've already tried bypassing the launcher and the game seems to be running in the background too.how actually stop a program from running in the background if possible, it just happened to a game, sorry for any inconvenience.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI inquired about this on Technet forums, I got a great functioning and undocumented answer. The Office Software Protection Platform service starts every time you start an Office aplication. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have used a power option to hibernate/shutdown my desktop after (say) 2 hours. This works correctly so that the system does not shutdown automatically when I am running interactive applications. At least one scheduled weekly task (McAfee virus scan) can take many hours and I normally run it overnight. But when it is the only task running, the PC hibernates (apparently after the prescribed interval) even though the application is still running.
I do not want to change my power settings to prevent automatic hibernation completely or to lengthen the interval meaninglessly. So: Is there any other way to ensure that the virus scan is allowed to complete before the system hibernates? During a scheduled scan, McAfee has an option to run "in the background". Would cancelling that option have the desired effect?

View 4 Replies View RelatedIs it better to have all such programs installed in the Program Files on Drive C, does the installation being there have any positive effect on the program? Or will the program be the same if I were to install it onto my second SSD?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed Tune Up Utilities, used it for a while, then uninstalled, using Windows 7 Manager instead. Anyway, I uninstalled it, and I even used Your Uninstaller 2010 which deleted all extra reg entries etc, but for some reason my recycle bin still says "TuneUp Undelete", and who knows how much other crap is left over. I restarted and still there.

1. When I click (put pen down on surface) i see a little animated circle.
2. When I click in a text field it automaticly displays a little keyboard icon on witch I can click to open virtual keyboard and type stuff.
3. After first click there is slide-out keyboard always present on the left side of the screen.
So my question is: Is there a way to disable all this "helpers" so I could have my tablet behave like a regular mouse. Where and what should I look in control panel?

I'm just installed windows 7 on my 2009 imac through bootcamp. However there are some problems. Ive noticed when i try to play something on windows media player it will tell me that my computer is running low on memory and to close some windows. Also games run poorly if at all. I suspect its a driver issue but have gone through all the auto updates etc.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAs I shutdown/restart my laptop, I notice it switches to a secondary desktop that has been running programs.A good example would be trying to open my Task Manager, I can Ctrl-Alt-Del and it will allow me to open Task Manager - however when I click on Task Manager, it opens on the Desktop running in the background. I can't even access the Desktop in the background, it only shows up as I'm shutting down - closing programs that I tried opening awhile ago.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am running into this issue of having complete access to one PC running windows 7 from another one that is also running windows 7. One of the PC's is a windows 7 pro 32 bit and the other is window 7 ultimate 64 bit. I have had them setup with public and dedicated folder sharing. But from time to time I find that a file I want to get off one or the other was not saved to a shared folder. I have been looking for a way to allow complete access from one PC to other one (going both directions). I use 2 PC all the times and it really depends on where I am in the house as to what one I am using as one is laptop and the other is a desktop. They are both on the same network. It is just one of the strange things that I have not been able to find a way to get complete file access without the use of software like Teamviewer or others like it.What I would like to do it just go to the network location in the windows explore to get the files I want from the other PC.
