View 1 Replies View RelatedVery recently I started having a problem with the remote desktop where it says the following message:
"Your computer could not connect to another console session on the remote computer because you already have a console session in progress."
What I am trying to do is to access my Vista Ultimate computer using my Windows 7 Ultimate computer, and have been doing so this way for more than a year. All of a sudden I start getting the message that I have quoted. I do not know why it started doing that.As well, going in the Users tab of task manager you can see there that I am logged in as a console user.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently came up with a problem on one of my computers that drove me completely insane. I've been using Gmail for quite sometime now, but all of a sudden, I couldn't open the site anymore. I can still log in from iGoogle but nothing can get me into Gmail. I've tried connecting from the Google homepage, typing "mail.google.com" into the address bar and I even tried www.gmail.com but nothing worked. The most frustrating part of the problem is that I can connect from any other computer or any kind of device that has Internet capabilities. I've tried clearing my Cookies, Cache, Browsing History and even tried with a different Internet browser but I got no where.
The error that I get when I try to connect with Google Chrome is the following:
The webpage has a redirect loop
The webpage at [URL] has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.
Here are some suggestions:
- Reload the webpage later.
- Learn more about this problem.
Error 310 (net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS): There were too many redirects.

Clicking "Learn more" just brings me to a page explaining about cookies and how to delete them.
I did some poking around on the Internet and found some pages that said there might be a virus that is blocking certain webpages from loading (I have no idea about that, but it is likely, as I had just gotten the computer and didn't have any antivirus installed).
Just in case, here is some info about the computer:
Acer Aspire 5736Z
Intel Pentium Dual-Core T4500 @ 2.30GHz
4.00GB Installed Memory
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
i am trying to connect my tv to my computer to use it as my monitor cause my old one broke and i cant afford another one but my tv is vag and m,y computer is dvi so i bought and adapter and plugged it into the back of my computer and plugged the vga cable into it and then my tv but nothing happens when i put my tv into pc mode.
View 4 Replies View RelatedNow the problem: simply put, I cannot connect to any ftp site (even tp.microsoft.com). I strongly believe this has something to do with my computer itself, but I've done endless searches on google and tried several solutions to no avail. Here is a list of what I have tried thus far:-Connecting using the command prompt. On the command prompt I've typed in "ftp ftp.microsoft.com" and it goes straight to the "ftp>" . Whenever I try to use a command the prompt responds with a "Not connected". However, if I ping the ftp server it does respond like it should.-Using software ftp clients (Firezilla, SmartFTP, etc.). I put in the necessary information and that's basically as far as it gets.-Checking "Enable Passive FTP" in IE. That did zip.
-Adjusted Firewall settings... (based on suggestions from forums and such). To the best of my knowledge, everything set as it should. The settings I adjusted were on Windows FirewallThis is what leads me to believe it is my computer that is the problem because when I use this web-based clients its pretty much the only thing that works and I am able to manipulate the files just fine. That's pretty much all my attempts in various forms and google searches. I should also note that I am connected wirelessly to my school's network, but the network doesn't seem to be the problem because I tried connecting using my roomate's laptop and it connected just fine.
i wish to be able to connect directly to another computer without using the net, a way to do it that will not use any of my download data or the data of anyone else, like putting in an IP and connecting so that we may share files?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have 2 ISPs(One connect to office intranet and other connect to external braodband) and 1 computer(Windows7). During the day I switch between the two ISPs periodically by plugging and unplugging the cat5e cables (I never use the two ISPs at the same time). I want to simplify this process and save the RJ45 jack on my laptop from wearing out by the repeated plugging and unplugging of the cat5e cables. How can i switch between two ISP without doing this process? or is there any script that can switch between 2 ISP?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Desktop computer with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and a laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
The Laptop can see the desktop, files and printer But the Desktop cannot see the Homegroup. The desktop does not have the option to allow remote desktop connections, I don't know if that is connected to the same issue or not.
When I try to modify the Homegroup on the desktop, I get the error message mentioned above. this computer can't connect to homegroup
I have a 2 computer setup both have successfully joined the homegroup I created. From comp A, I can access everything on comp B but comp B cannot access anything on comp A. I can see what's on comp A but if I try to go there it asks for credentials. Also tied to this (I assume), when I try and access the printer on comp A, the "Install Printer" button literally does nothing (screenshot).
I have no idea where to begin with this problem. The homegroup advanced settings are set up to share files and printers. I've allowed File Sharing in Windows Firewall on both computers. I've completely left the homegroup and made a new one.
I am having problems getting MTP devices to connect to my computer.Originally I had this problem with my Canon T1i, so I bought a memory card reader. Now the problem is occurring with my Google Nexus 7 Tablet.Other USB devices like keyboard, USB drives, mice... work fine?I plug the USB device in, it attempts to install and then I get a "Device driver software was not successfully installed" for MTP USB Device.Typical error message in Device Manager:Quote :This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. Paid a fortune for it and after 2 days I find that the manufacturer does not install WLAN unless specifically ordered. An atrocious sob and am sure will never again buy anything from them..Finally, I bought a Wireless USB to enable wireless connectivity with a driver CD etc., but the darned thing is still not working although it can now after a severe birth, "see" the networks in the locality. After running the troubleshooter, it keeps repeating that it cannot connect to the specified network!

Also, if this will work, will I be able to choose between the two ISPs by clicking on the internet access icon in the lower right hand corner of my desktop? Is there a chance that I could damage something by trying this?
