HIS Radeon 4350 Install Driver
Feb 23, 2009
I'm having a terrible time with this ATI Catalyst driver. Yes, I've read all of the sticky topics and nothing works. I have an HIS Radeon 4350. No drivers downloaded from anywhere work. When I run the install software, it fails after I click the gold "install" button. I get a Windows 7 error report with the same old "DisableSessions" solution, which does absolutely nothing.
It runs, I see the "success" message, I even looked in the registry to make sure the keys were gone. They are and the Catalyst driver still will not install. Yes, I even tried compatibility mode, sadly on the compatibility dropdown, I see "Widows XP SP1" and it's disaabled so I can't change it.
Also, I have no surround sound. Yes, I have the ATI DVI/HDMI adapter. Yes I downloaded and installed the Realtek HDMI driver. It only shows two channels. No clue what's going on there either.
Why is it completely impossible to install any software for this video card? I've tried everything. Haven't I?

Not too long ago I was interested in spanning desktop across multiple monitors. I was looking at the "Radeon HD 3650" with two DVI ports. I had read somewhere for dual support to look for the two DVI ports. I decided to wait for the dual support and went with the "Sapphire Radeon 4350 HD HDMI" card with 512MB memory. I was under the impression this card would not span across monitors because there was not two DVI ports or two VGA ports. This card has 1DVI, 1VGA, 1HDMI.
Today I was looking for a key combination for something else. When I tried the "Windows logo + P" there was a selection box. My options was Desktop only, Duplicate, Span, or Projector mode. This was a shock because of the impression I was under with this card. I have now spanned my desktop across 1DVI and 1VGA monitor.
The only question I have now is if there is a difference in "Dual Mode" and "Spanning Desktop across Monitor's". The Radeon box I have says to enable Dual Mode. I must have a second "Radeon HD 4350 series card" with CrossfireX and a supporting motherboard. I was in the market for Dual Mode because I thought this was needed to support spanning desktop.

So I download an update for my ati radeon HD 4350 (AMD Catalyst) And it seemed to work fine before when i installed it but i turned in my computer this morning and ot seemed to work fine but after a few minutes my computer just went to a black screen. so i restarted my computer same results, so i booted in safe mode and decided to explore the problem. At first I attempted to uninstall and reinstall the update but when i tried to uninstall it failed and the message "failed to load detection driver" or "couldn't detect system specs" or something along those lines. So i tried to run a game and it wouldn't open. I think i may of somehow broke my graphics card?

i have just decided to turn my old computer into my media center so i decided to do a bit of upgrading, like up the ram, format and install Windows 7. all was fine with that.
then i decided to get the HDMI crankin as well and have had nothing put problems. i tried a pci-e ATI HD 2400pro 1st, and now i have a pci-e Saffire Radeon HD 4350, and they both have the same problem.
when i use process explorer and no card installed (on board card) 0% hardware interrupts. 20% cpu usage install either HDMI card and 80 -90% hardware interrupts, 100% cpu usage all the time.
each time i try a new card i uninstall all vid drivers, turn off the cpu, install card, load new drivers (tried vista and 7 drivers) still no luck. boot time is 10secs with the on board card, 3 mins with either PCI-E card.

I have an ATI Radeon HD 4350. Currently I am using the WDDM 1.1 drivers that came with my Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit install (store-bought). It's been working fine for normal use, but the drivers are 2 years out of date and no games want to work on my system.
I tried installing the Catalyst 11.11 driver package, rebooted and... the result was that Windows suddenly treated my video card like it didn't have ANY drivers; it defaulted to the Standard VGA drivers and didn't even want to acknowledge that the proper drivers for my card existed on my computer. When I brought up Device Manager to manually install the new drivers, it listed the new drivers as ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 along with the old ATI Radeon HD 4350 (Microsoft Corporation WDDM 1.1)- which I kinda/sorta get but don't really. What's the difference between the 4300/4500 and the 4350? Red herring; ignore that.
Anyway... I can revert back to the original 4350 drivers and the screen looks fine, but I'm not getting to use any of the games I've got installed now. I also noticed that, while looking through my System Information, the 4350 is causing some sort of hardware conflict with the PCI-to-PCI Bridge. Which completely drives me bonkers because it WORKS with the WDDM 1.1 drivers.

any experience with Radeon Mobility 9600 (RV350)?
I get a black screen already right in the beginning (before boot screen) and have no idea how to resolve it. Can't install new driver as I can't even boot Win 7. Can't go into safe mode, as I can't see the menu.

So I had just upgraded my laptop (Dell Inspiron E1505) to Windows 7 and was using the Windows Update to get all the drivers for my hardware. All of them worked except the ATI Mobility Radeon x1300, and when i try to download/install it, it just comes up with unknown error code 80200053. Now my computer is stuck with low resolution and using a generic PnP standard VGA Graphics Adapter driver and I can't find a way to get my video card to work. Any way to install the driver? I tried downloading the driver online, but those versions are not compatible with Windows 7?

I've installed the provided graphic drivers for my Toshiba Satellite l30 for win XP. the resolution (1200*800) works fine but i canot even use the "standard" colour scheme (i'm using home basic). (it is not even displayed in the options). if i use any graphic dependant software, it would jus hang up and there u go!, The BSOD!
I downloaded the latest wddm supported graphic drivers for my card 2 years ago from microsoft and i stil have them but the thing is i forgot how to replace or update the existing driver. the drivers given by the microsoft is not in an exe form but a bunch of dlls and an inf file in a .cab. i tried updating the driver from device manager but with no sucess. i made it work few months ago but hate myself now that i forgot.

I am on an Acer Aspire M5100 desktop that came with Vista 32x preinstalled. I bought a ATI Radeon HD 4550 months ago that worked fine on Vista. I wanted to install Windows 7 64x Home Premium, so I bought a copy through Microsoft, created a boot disk, removed all non-original components (including graphics card), and did a clean install. I installed all my additional hardware and everything worked fine until my graphics card.
When I installed my graphics card, I downloaded the most up to date drivers (I got the link from this site), and rebooted. Upon reboot, my BIOS load, Windows starts to load, and then I get a blue screen. The blue screen flashes by so quick I can't read what they're saying. Then my computer restarts, and we start over again (blue screen cycle).
So I reconnected to the onboard gpu, and it started. Then I went into the Device manager, and uninstalled the old driver. Reinstalled my Radeon 4550, and current drivers, rebooted, nothing. Tried reinstalling windows 7, this time, removing old drivers first, than installing. Still nothing. This happens every time I enable the video card and then reboot.
I'm a noob so I've searched this site up and down. I've heard that maybe I need to update my BIOS. So I went to Acer.com to download the BIOs, and they don't have any listed for my PC.
With that said, I'm at my wits end. If anybody has any thoughts on what to do next, I truly appreciate it.

So I've been using the windows 7 7000 build ever since it came out and its been running just fine on my setup. A couple days ago i downloaded the new RC 7100 build and when i tried to install it, i kept getting a blue screen.
I don't remember why, but i concluded that the issue was my graphics card so i took out my Radeon 4870x2 and took my dad's card, a GeForce 8500 GT. Putting the GeForce in my pc worked and it installed smoothly with both 32bit and 64bit versions of windows 7 RC
I then tried to put my Radeon back into my pc after installing with my geforce. Once it booted i got no signal to the monitor. After finding a work around my i got a blue screen after about 10 min. then it would not boot windows.
I'm still stuck at the installation with my radeon when i put the cd in. i get a blue screen right after the logo thing starts to move, this is before any setup information comes up.
In short, i cant get widows 7 RC to work with my graphics card.

I am having trouble with my Windows 7 Home Premium edition.
After having installed it and starting it up for the first time it wont go further than the "logo" screen.
The only thing i have done is to install the Radeon 4800 series drivers..
There is no error codes or anything and i am running out of possible reasons.
My system was running perfectly with the RC candidate. The first time i even removed my second 4890 and it didn't help anything.
Please someone know what to do. Could it be a corrupted disc i have recieved from amazon?

Okay ive been searching the internet (and this forum ) for a driver for my ATI Radeon 9800 Pro.
I know its an old card.. but its still decent.
ATI have put it under the Legacy support list? but if i try and install that.. Windows 7 wants to tell me that the Microsoft Corporation WDDM Driver is better and wont let me install it.
is there a work around this?
And is it possible to get Aero Support with this Graphics card?

I just need to get it working short term until I can buy a replacement, this is the only PCI card I had to get this new system working.

I recently installed an ATI Radeon 9550 HD display driver to my computer, Windows XP SP2 32bit . Before that, my computer was running in VGA mode only. But though, I have downloaded the driver and installed it with the Catalyst Control Center. After rebooting, what I got is a black screen after Windows XP boot screen. I shut down the computer and now I saw the classic WELCOME with the blue background... but nothing more. After rebooting the PC for about 5 times, I got past the WELCOME stuff and to the desktop. As I watched the Device Manager, It says the I Have Installed the ATI Driver and its secondary Driver. But though, if I right-click my desktop and go to Display Properties>Settings>Advanced>Display Adapter I saw that there was no Display Driver and I was still running in VGA. VGA sucks because you can't play any 3D games or even Google Earth won't work. Now everyday I start the PC, I have to reboot about 5 times untill I get it working. It's been almost a month since I'm doing this and it caused me alot of nerves and boredoom. But though, sometimes I think the ATI works since I boot the PC, then I see the black screen and hear that start sound like when you XP starts. I managed to acces the Narator and saw that PC was actually working, except was like blind. I am looking for some fix tips and reply ASAP.

The AMD site doesn't throw one up when I click on the HD 5450 download am at a loss as what to do!

I saw a similar thread here with the solution of increasing the idle clock speed of your GPU: Windows 7 with Radeon HD 5770
I am having very similar problems where my graphics card driver seems to crash all the time when I'm doing thing that don't stress the GPU. This started happening after I added 8 GB of memory that I bought recently. The thing is I can't find a way to edit the idle clock speed of my GPU in the new CCC. I have tried using the 11.12 and 12.1 and its the same thing. In my C:Users{YourUserName}AppDataLocalATIACE folder I noticed that the profiles.xml file is what has the CoreClockSpeed option but I can't seem to edit it (I open it and change the numbers but when I save it gets reverted right away).

I just installed Windows 7 Pro 32-bit on my old IBM/Lenovo T60p and everything is great except for my video card driver... Even though I've downloaded and installed the Windows 7 drivers from Lenovo's website, windows insists on using the standard VGA graphics adapter and wont let me change to the ATI drivers. As a result, I only have access to 16Mb of graphics memory and can't run any of my more graphics-intensive programs. Any ideas?
