Needed: Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for 945 Chipset-Based Intel Desktop Boards
My Device Manager does not show any drivers as missing but I get a very low graphics score on the Windows Index Experience; it is 2.0.
I think that this may have something to do with the "Media Graphics Accelerator Driver" which will not install ("OS not supported" when using setup). I tried the install for Vista (No.7) from this page:- Download Search Results!
I've read posts here and elsewhere that describe migrating drivers with a driver backup util from Vista and pulling them into Windows 7 via Device Manager but I don't have a Vista installation to be able to do that.
I'd like to have a WIE of 3 or more in order to run Aero but my WIE figures are 3.2/4.6/2.0 (graphics)/3.0/5.9. and I can't see that low base-rate of 2.0 disappearing unless I can install the Graphics Media Accelerator (Intel replied to my query with the standard "not our policy to support future technology etc. etc". (ha ha! nice one Intel)).

View 6 Replies View RelatedEvery 5-10 minutes my screen turns black, sort of flashes a bit, and then comes back on in different colours and the windows are all different sizes, but then it changes a bit and goes back to normal. Then I get a balloon message from the task bar saying "Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Driver for Windows Vista® stopped responding and has successfully recovered." (screenshot below) For some reason it says "for Windows Vista® but I am on Windows 7. When it has come back to normal again, Chrome goes all funny and the tabs won't switch. So if I try to switch tabs, the top thing is on the tab that I have switched to, but the main screen below stays on what the previous tab was. Also, sometimes the tab becomes unresponsive and I have to either restart Chrome or refresh the tab.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI have an Acer Aspire 7741z-4433 with an Intel(R) Pentium(R) p6200 (2.13 GHz, 3MB 1.3 cache). This only happens to me while I am playing The Sims 3. I have the game set on the lowest quality settings, even though my laptop "claims" to be HD LED, etc. This issue still happens. As you may know I cannot replace the graphics card as it is apart of the motherboard, and to buy a new motherboard with a better graphics card would cost more than a new computer. I have been the my manufacture's website and tried installing an update of the graphics card, and that didn't do the trick either. I am at my wits end, and I just want to play the game without it shutting down and freezing my computer. The reason I know the error is because I do Alt + Tab to get back to the desktop. The way it acts up while I am in game is the screen blacks out but I can still see the software's mouse, and then it blinks a couple times and then freezes completely?

i have an hp m9340f purchased a couple new nvidea graphics cards when I started getting the noisy fan issue .
Installed windows 7 everything worked great but was having problems with windows media center after I went to a 56k connection so i decided to format start over,
Everytime it installs the drivers for my nvidea graphics card my monitor goes black and has no signal. i tried both dif cards. same problem. I am guessing it is the recommended settings but since I only have one monitor I can't change the settings cause.. can't see to do it, and I have no other monitor to hook to to try.
I can start up in safe mode so any idea's how to fix this issue or change it all to 800 x 600 so i can see when it starts up with new drivers .....
I have the Windows 7 RC 64-bit installed on my comp, and I have been using WMP12 for a few months now with no issues up until recently. It has been freezing constantly on me within minutes of starting a song from my playlist. After 2 minutes into a song, WMP12 will dim and I get a message saying WMP12 is not responding and needs to close. I do have a very extensive music playlist which I'm constantly adding more music to, so I am wondering if it's maybe too big for it to handle (about 20-30 GBs of music). [code]

When I got to the system tray and hit the Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel icon it should open the Control Panel window but nothing happens to me. I have read all the instructions that Intel has but nothing of these worked. Graphics — How to open the Intel Graphics Properties window

I've completed a new custom build, but have had problems with BSOD from the beginning with any installation of Intel Graphics drivers or the installation of any graphics card.
When I first completed the build, the XFX-7950 Black was installed. I booted to BIOS without issue, but when I inserted the Windows 7 (64 bit) it would boot through the windows logo screen but immediately BSOD right after going to the first install screen.
I removed the graphics card, and was able to complete the full Windows install without issue. I updated Windows and the drivers on the system but as soon as I installed the Intel 3000 Graphics driver, it would BSOD on every restart. I recovered back prior to the Graphics driver install and installed all other drivers. I updated the BIOS to the latest version.
I have reattempted the XFX 7950 multiple times in different slots, but with the same results. I also attempted my Radeon HD 4550 from my old computer but it gave the same results. It always boots through the Windows logo screen, but BSOD within a few seconds of reaching the password screen.
I broke down and installed Driver Whiz, which did detect multiple outdated drivers that I had not caught, but none of these fix the issues.
I've attached the requested zip. I don't think all BSOD's are showing up, as I've had to use recovery points after installed drivers didn't work. The last .dmp on 19 JUL was a Intel Graphics driver install attempt that I pulled off in safe mode before recovering back to the pre-driver point.
