Gmail Blocked In All Browsers (IE 9 / Firefox And Safari)
Feb 22, 2012
my browsers (i.e. 9, ff and safari) are all blocking gmail. they were blocking google and Internet before, but now these sites are loading normally, but gmail still is blocked. i've ran malawarebytes and combofix (i know now i should not have done it, just followed bad advice online) without trouble but without further success, malaware at the beginning cleaned some files and combofix removed a couple of files, i have the logs to post. i've checked the hosts file, and it looks like it is correct.
I have just re-installed Apple's Safari browser, from here Apple - Safari - Download the worldand I cant get it to run. It appears to install and then when I run it I get "Safari has stopped working" and "A problem has cause the program to stop working correctly/ Windows will close the programe an notify you if a solution is available [Close Program]"
This morning all my browsers have crashed, IE 9, FF and Chrome on my desktop. When it happened to IE, I thought it was a bug of some kind then checked w/FF and Chrome and they all went done. After restarting each browser they all work fine. I'm in the process of cleaning my system.
If I have multiple Firefox browsers open that are not in full screen mode, once clicked on, that screen disappears before I can reach it with my pointer. This happen with all pinned icons that are not in full screen mode or a small notification box.Someone mentioned that Lenovo maybe had an update that messed with the settings.
I am going to reinstall Windows 7 on my computer as soon as the RTM will leak and this time I am going with 64 bit actually the first time i use 64 bit. I am using safari 4 right now in 32 bit and i thinks it´s working pretty good. But when i re install i want a browser that´s 64 bit compatible.
Is Safari 4 64-bit compatible? Or should I use another browser?
I have Windows 7 (64bit) and IE 9 brower installed. I'm looking to acquire iPhone 4G S. Apple wants to install Safari as browser. Does this replace my IE, or can I have both co-exist? Must I do this to have full range of services on iPhone? What are the gotchas with this?
Besides the CTRL tab and CTRL SHIFT TAB which goes one tab to the right or left, is there a shortcut where you can go directly to a tab like you can on Chrome and Firefox?
I can't get the Safari developer tools to work. I have enabled the "Develop" menu option, but none of the tools display.I added the "Web Inspector" button to my toolbar, but the "Web Inspector" does not display. If I right-click on a page element and choose "Inspect Element" nothing happens.I have uninstalled, and reinstalled Safari and rebooted yet none of the developer tools will display.I checked and Javascript is enabled and popups are allowed.
My two min browsers at the moment are waterfox & chrome..As the title says, Im on a x64 version of Windows 7.Has anyone any advice for me on the best versions of Firefox/Builds of Firefox for a x64 windows?same with Google chrome.
I recently updated to Firefox 18. If I go to Windows' Control Panel and then click on "Uninstall a program", both Firefox 18 and Firefox 15 show up in the list of programs. Should I just leave it as it is, or should I uninstall Firefox 15?
By the way, I updated to Firefox 18 through Firefox's update feature, if that helps.
It appears the browser history for today has been somewhat deleted and I can only see sites I have been to since I got home from work. I need to know if someone was sending gmail from my computer @ 10:48am. Is there another way to tell?
I have never set GMail up as my default mail, and would like to know how to do this. Everytime I click a link, my default is MSN. Need to change. My browser is Google Chrome, and in Windows 7.
I want to remove my Gmail account from my Windows Live Mail set up.Not used to Windows and can't find a way to delete it from Windows Live desk top set up, though have deleted the Gmail account at Gmail online..
I finally pulled the trigger and installed Windows 7 on my main machine Friday. I had it on my development/test machine since RTM and RC before that. But now I live with it and I LOVE it.
I love the new taskbar, but there is one thing I am miss... I use GMail and I loved how in the task bar I could see the number of new emails I had with a quick glance. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know that GMail has an app you can install that runs in the status bar, but I don't want to be bugged when it comes in, I just want to be able to see the # when I want to look that direction.
I recently came up with a problem on one of my computers that drove me completely insane. I've been using Gmail for quite sometime now, but all of a sudden, I couldn't open the site anymore. I can still log in from iGoogle but nothing can get me into Gmail. I've tried connecting from the Google homepage, typing "mail.google.com" into the address bar and I even tried www.gmail.com but nothing worked. The most frustrating part of the problem is that I can connect from any other computer or any kind of device that has Internet capabilities. I've tried clearing my Cookies, Cache, Browsing History and even tried with a different Internet browser but I got no where.
The error that I get when I try to connect with Google Chrome is the following:
The webpage has a redirect loop
The webpage at [URL] has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.
Here are some suggestions:
- Reload the webpage later.
- Learn more about this problem.
Error 310 (net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS): There were too many redirects. --
Clicking "Learn more" just brings me to a page explaining about cookies and how to delete them.
I did some poking around on the Internet and found some pages that said there might be a virus that is blocking certain webpages from loading (I have no idea about that, but it is likely, as I had just gotten the computer and didn't have any antivirus installed).
Just in case, here is some info about the computer:
Acer Aspire 5736Z Intel Pentium Dual-Core T4500 @ 2.30GHz 4.00GB Installed Memory Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
My ISP is Orange FR and until a recent shut down of internet activity whilst Orange were performing repairs to the system, gmail worked well in Windows Live Mail. Now I can't get it to send or receive emails in Live MailMy OS is windows 7 and I have 4 accounts in my windows live mail set up, one being the main ISP of Orange
I can't access gmail on a new Dell Inspiron with Windows Home Premium 64 bit. I keep getting an error message of a Redirect Loop in Google.com and error message 20457 or a similar number and word that the server won't accept when I use the notifier. I use gmail and its notifier with no problem on an older Dell Latitude with W'7 32 b
I installed Gmail Drive but its not showing up in Windows explorer anywhere. Tried it using compatibility mode, still no luck. When i double click the setup file, its stuck on this screen.
I try to access my Gmail account, all of a sudden the screen starts going crazy. It's never happened before. So disgusted with this Dell Inspirion 1545 6 months old, battery is shot; webcam not good.
