I did a clean install of windows 7 64bit(professional) on my existing 32 bit vista premium, every thing went fine expect the monitor resolution. If open any videos using windows media player or real player or watch TV, it displays in a blur mode. Photoes can be seen clearly, only videos that i play are not clear. I dont know what went wrong. All i did is updated a new nvidia driver for my 8400gs. Please let me know if any thoughts on this.View 1 Replies View Related
I've got Nvidia 8400GS graphic card and its latest driver, version 306.1. after installing windows 7 on my system, the driver keeps on crashing again and again after some time, when a video is played. after a few seconds a message on the task bar occurs saying that the system has recovered.View 1 Replies View Related
I'm running windows 7 and my geforce 8400GS graphics card. I'm trying to duel screen using a siemens LL 3220T monitor and a Acer X223HQ monitor. The Siemens is connected via the VGA port and the Acer is connected via the DVI with a converter plugged in allowing the VGA monitor to connect to the DVI port. The problem is the Acer monitor doesn't work! Windows doesn't detect it at all! I can rule out hardware issues because when I run ubuntu using the exact same set up both monitors work perfectly well! I tried downloading the newest drivers for my Nvida card but still no success. The monitor doesn't show up as being connected on any of my settings!View 2 Replies View Related

I recently upgraded from Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 home premium. I had that message in Vista aswell. I tried to clean the drivers using a driver cleaner software and reinstalled them. I have also tried to find a BIOS upgrade without finding any for my motherboard. My motherboard isBengal Plus Motherboard which is made by Foxconn. The pc model is a Packard Bell Ixtreme A6530.
I am btw using 64 bit edition of Windows 7. The video card is Nvidia Geforce 220 GT.
I have an Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 Video card with 256 MB of RAM.
The card seems to work quite well with Windows 7, except that the highest resolution I can get with the present driver is 1280 x 1024, but this naturally stretches the screen. I can set it to a nice 1280 x 800 which looks pretty good on my 19" monitor.
However, I would like to get a resolution of 1440 x 900 for my 19" monitor but this options is not available. Do I perhaps have the wrong driver? I am presently using the one I downloaded with Windows 7 in the Device Manager. The driver version is 22.214.171.124 and is dated 10/9/2006.
It is not on this list on the Nvidia site
Will windows perhaps be updating this driver for this card? Is there something I am not getting here?
Also, I do not know if this card is going to get more support from Windows.
Supposedly this driver will work for windows 7 but I have been unable to successfully install it.
Any help in this area for this card would be nice. I really like Windows 7.
I was attempting to install the display driver when I received this error message from Windows Update: "WindowsUpdate_80070006" "WindowsUpdate_dt000"
I searched Google and only found 7 results with no solutions. I attempted to get the drivers from the nVidia website and it informed me that I needed to get the drivers from my computer's manufacturer (HP)-so I went there. The only thing offered on my particular notebook's support page was an update for the Wireless Assistant.
Has anyone else encountered an error when installing nVidia drivers on their laptop or received that particular error from Windows Update?

This will be for my Vista Ultimate x64 Machine (as of right now)
Question for all of you:
ATi Radeon X1900GT (512MB) or eVGA 9800GT (512MB) - Which is better?
I currently have the ATi card but found the 9800GT and a 9800GTX on ebay. Wanted to know if I would notice any graphic enhancements.
Currently I play Battlefield 2 but want to get into more games down the road after I upgrade some other parts of my system (Mobo & Ram).
I've been search in the internet for a while to find the NVIDIA [GeForce 8400M GT GPU] Driver. I tried the file that provided by the LaptopVideo2go.com, but it still not work.
The properties of my Laptop:
Laptop model: Sony VAIO VGN-FZ17G
OS: Windows 7 x64 Home Premium
Display card: GeForce 8400M GT GPU
When I check the Device manger, it still recognize [Standard VGA Graphics Adapter].
I ordered a laptop with the 512 nvidia geforce 9600M Gt, but didn't check what games it should be able to run. Is it a good graphics card? good enough to play grid with graphics on high?View 3 Replies View Related
NVIDIA GeForce Drivers 190.62 is released. This is the latest WHQL driver for NVIDIA GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, and 200-series desktop GPUs. NVIDIA GeForce drivers stand for compatibility, reliability, and stability with the widest range of games and applications.
Updating your drivers ensures the best experience for every user and delivers continuous performance and feature updates for your NVIDIA product. The driver adds support for NVIDIA PhysX acceleration on all GeForce 8-series, 9-series and 200-series GPUs with a minimum of 256MB dedicated graphics memory.
A while back I purchased a nVidia GeForce Go 7900 GTX off eBay to replace my burnt out 7900 GS, it arrived, installed perfectly on my laptop, I went to the BIOS menu and saw the "7900 GTX etc etc" under video information. When Windows 7 fully booted it started installing a driver for an nVidia Quadro NVS 510M, which is not what I intended to buy.
Because the card still showed 512 MB of dedicated RAM and had the same core/memory clock speeds I didn't originally mind. Until I started seeing all these new nVidia drivers being released for Windows 7 which dramatically improve performance, but they're all for GeForce cards, which I should, but do not apparently have.
Information Driver Max gave me, my video controller is the 510M but the onboard video device is the 7900 GTX. I'm very confused.
I've tried installing manually the drivers for the 7900 GTX but Windows seems to not like the idea...even though my BIOS (which communicates with hardware at a much lower level than windows) says I have a 7900 GTX.
well yesterday I downloaded and installed windows 7 on my PC.. everything was fine until i realized that there was no aero so i went to my device admin and there was the yellow thing next to my graphic card.. i tried every driver i could, none of them worked.. can someone tell me what im doing wrong or how can i fixView 9 Replies View Related
I have a problem with my nVidia drivers. When I first installed Windows 7, I installed the GeForce drivers (big mistake). Then I installed the automatic update of nvidia drivers that Windows 7 downloaded. This lead to problems. I have now unistalled all drivers. Windows then looked for it's own drivers, and said they were installed. However, Aero doesn't seem to be working (all taskbars are gray).
I can't download the drivers from the nVidia site, because for some reason they haven't put the Windows 7 drivers for mobile gfx cards online. I can't download the driver via Automatic Update because Windows seems to think I already installed it. Does anybody know how I can find these drivers?
The Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 doesn't work in Windows 7. Can you give me advice on buying a new inexpensive card. I asked a Nvidia tech and he said the video card was not designed to work with Windows 7. If anyone could advise me on the latter issue I would appreciate it.

These drivers are VERY BETA, use at your own risk!
However, I have noticed a slight increase in performance (Versus the 186.18 Drivers) in the Crysis Benchmark as well as the Counter-Strike: Source stress test.
I haven't tried 3DMark or any of that jazz yet.
DOCUMENTATION FROM THE GURU3D SITE:
There's a new NVIDIA GeForce driver out on the loose and it's in fact the first series 190 driver ever. This is Forceware 190.15 The driver is available for Windows Vista 32- and 64-bit and for Windows XP 32-bit flavor is available.
Very little is known about this driver but we need to that the original .inf file shows it was targeted at Quadro cards. We replaced the index with a modified .inf files (courtesy of laptopvideo2go) making the driver compatible with all current GeForce cards.
Interesting is that the Vista / Win 7 drivers also contact 3D Stereo drivers revision 190.15, look inside the archive to spot that yourself.
These drivers are to be considered very beta and thus treated as such. You install them at your own risk, don't complain to us or NVIDIA if they do not work out for you.

I installed Win 7 on my tablet HP TC1100.
Windows 7 doesn't recognize the graphic card nvidia GeForce 4 Go 420 (32 MB, 4x AGP).
The display of the tablet ist running correctly (1024x768),
the second monitor (1280x1024) shows the same screen in the simple resolution.
There's no second monitor in the system settings, only the standard vga-graphiccard and a pnp-monitor.
I tested some nvidia-driver (185.20vista32 Guru3D.com), but its not possible to install (there a incompability error).
I'd like to upgrade my Vista machine to Windows 7 but am unsure whether my graphics capability will need an upgrade. Current machine is -
Processor - AMD Sempron 3400+
Graphics - Integrated NVidia GeForce 6150 LE
I understand Windows 7 needs DirectX 9 and WDDM 1, but don't know whether this integrated card can handle this.
Any advice / guidance would be greatly appreciated.
