Video Card Nvidia Geforce 220 GT Driver Problem
I recently upgraded from Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 home premium. I had that message in Vista aswell. I tried to clean the drivers using a driver cleaner software and reinstalled them. I have also tried to find a BIOS upgrade without finding any for my motherboard. My motherboard isBengal Plus Motherboard which is made by Foxconn. The pc model is a Packard Bell Ixtreme A6530.
I am btw using 64 bit edition of Windows 7. The video card is Nvidia Geforce 220 GT.

Nvidia Geforce 7000M Video Card Driver
I just installed windows 7 64-bit on my Acer laptop. It has a Nvidia Geforce 7000M video card. Windows 7 only sets it up as a generic vga card. I have tried all of the drivers I have found and none of them work. I am not able to use the dvd maker or other programs because of this. Any ideas? Cheryl

NVidia Geforce 8400 Gs Video Card
When I run the Windows 7 64bit install, once the OS installed and it reboot the system and loads for the first time. I lose video once the Windows logo goes away. I am using a nVidia GeForce 8400 GS 256mg Video Card attached Insignia HD digital TV monitor. I can go into Safe Mode, and have video but in normal mode no video. I've also tried going to nVidia web site and downloading the lastest Vista 64bit drivers and even the beta Vista 64bit drivers. But, nothing seem to work. Anyone have any ideals what you try next?

NVIDIA Driver Update For NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT - WDDM 1.0
Every time I try to install "NVIDIA driver update for NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT (Prerelease - WDDM 1.0)" through Windows Update the installation fails. I have the nVidia control panel but the drivers don't seem to work properly when I run games (particularly Warhammer Online). I have tried the current Vista64 but City of Heroes gets a series of rolling bands that scroll up and down the screen. Is there some other way for me to get the updates properly installed?

Nvidia Geforce 7600 Card Problem
I am using windows 7 build 7100 which is fully up to date. I recently installed a new graphics card (nvidia geforce 7600 gsoc 512mb ddr2 ) as the old card i was using meant i was missing out on things like aero. When i installed the card i updated the driver on the nvidia site but then windows flagged up a problem with the driver so i let it update it.With both updates i have had problems with text on most sites,on some it is small and fine and on others it is quite bold but my old card allowed very simmilar text over all sites. I have tried changing text size, screen resolution etc but with no luck.

Video Card GeForce 8800 GT / Monitor Issue
As of today I am unable to get my resolution to 1680x1050 and that is my normal resolution. Whenever I restart the computer all I get is a black screen until I unplug my monitor from the video card and plug it back in, and then the screen comes up but the colors look like 16bit when it is in fact still set on 32bit. Plus my other resolutions aren't showing up at all anymore. I'm stuck at 1024. I have tried uninstalling my drivers and trying new ones but I still have the same problems. I was using beta Vista drivers for about 4 days without any problems and regular Vista drivers before that. I haven't changed anything within those days or installed anything to mess with the drivers. It must have happened when one of my games changed resolution but nothing weird happened until I restarted my machine. I have tried other things like upgrading Windows over 7 again to see if something was wrong with it the first time but no luck there either. If there is something else I can try please let me know. NVIDIA GeForce 8400M Graphic Card Problem
I am using a Sony vaio laptop VGN-SZ75GN. I recently upgraded my windows vista business 32-bit to a windows 7 ulitmate 64-bit using a clean installation. I have a external graphic card which is NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS notebook graphics processing unit(GPU) (SPEED MODE) / Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 (STAMINA MODE). After installing Windows 7, it couldn't detect the graphic card. This was done by looking at the device manager saying that it only detected a standard VGA Graphic Adapter. I tried to check for updates, but it said that the standard VGA Graphic Adapter was the best driver software. I looked around the forum like a headless chicken and couldn't find a solution for my laptop. Can anyone find a solution for my problem?

Nvidia Geforce 8400M G Graphic Card Problem
i have a MSI notebook with Nvidia Geforce 8400M G. i recently installed windows 7 professional (final version, not RC or beta), and discovered a serious problem: it doesn't recognize my Graphic card. instead it claims i have a "Standard VGA graphic adapter" (in dxdiag, device manager etc.). because of that i cant download any Nvidia drivers, cause the setup always says "Nvidia couldn't find a driver compatible with your hardware". that's, again, because windows 7 doesn't recognize my card. i tried also uninstalling the VGA adapter from device manager, but after restarting it just installing it again. is there anything i can do? should i wait for windows updates to come and fix my problem? i really don't want to install windows again. is my card not supported, is my Computer not supported?

BFG Geforce 9800 GT OC 1GB GDDR3 Card Video Ram Issue
OK, so I have a BFG Geforce 9800 GT OC 1GB GDDR3 card. Now, onboard video memory is 1024MB, obviously. However, whenever I do dxdiag, it tells me that I have "Approx. Total Memory: 494 MB". What the hell? That's less than half of what I actually have. I didn't actually notice this until today, when I went to play Prototype on my PC for the first time, and it wouldn't let me set my resolution to anything above 1024x768. According to Prototypes read me, the resolutions are locked at certain levels. Cards with less than 512 MB cannot access resolutions with widths of greater than 1280 or heights of 720. This means with a card of LESS THAN 512MB VRAM has these available: 640 x 480 800 x 480 800 x 600 1024 x 768 1152 x 720 1152 x 864 1280 x 720 1280 x 800 Cards with less than 1024 MB cannot access resolutions with widths of greater than 1600 or heights of 1080. This means with a card of LESS THAN 1024MB VRAM has these available: The following are only available for cards with 512MB VRAM or more: 1280 x 1024 1440 x 900 1600 x 1200 1680 x 1050 1920 x 1080 1920 x 1200 2048 x 1152 2048 x 1536 2560 x 1600 Where is the rest of my VRAM?

Tried installing Server 2008 (my previous OS) using the manual driver install via inf file it installed first go using vista drivers so proved the hardware works fine still. Tried all the above listed drivers with various compatability modes eg. server 2008, vista sp2, vista sp1 etc. same issue. Updated motherboard bios, reinstalled win7 same issue. Totally out of ideas of what else to try. Anyone have any ideas? If you require any further info please ask. Should I use one of the free Technet Plus incidents on this?

Choosing An NVidia Video Card For Windows 7
I upgraded my XP system ( IBM 8291-E2U) to Windows 7 yesterday, knowing the video adapter on my motherboard was not fully Windows 7 compliant. My HP w2207 monitor's optimal resolution is 1068 x 1050 @ 60 ghz. The video card I am considering is an : NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS 512MB DDR2 PCI Express Graphics Card My concern is that this may not work with my mother board which is : *Chipset*Intel i915G/GV/GL/P/PL/i910GL Can someone comment as to the viability of this card and give me a process to follow from install to operation -- i.e. how to disable VGA and when ?

Asus V9280 / Nvidia 8x AGP Video Card
Installed 32bit version on a generic Biostar MB with AMD 5600x2 and Asus V9280 8x AGP video card which worked fine in Vista and XP and was recognized on setup. There is a built in video but I have the AGP slot as first boot up choice. Win 7 sees the card as a generic VGA and won't accept the Vista 32 driver. I am using the Nvidia chipset driver for the Geforce FX5200 which is the chip on the card. Is there a better Win 7 driver for this card? I have installed this beta on four machines and this is only the second problem I have had with it.

PCI-E Nvidia Video Card Installation Failure
Has anyone been able to install windows 7 RC1 (32 or 64 bit) from scratch with their PCI-E Nvidia video card installed.I always have an stop x00000124 BSOD.The only remedy is to use my onboard VGA, however, this does not support my primary use as a HTPC.I have tried installing older nvidia drivers once RC has been installed with only onboard VGA, which still results in more BSODs.Has Microsoft acknowledged an issue here? I would love to get this working properly but to no avail so far.

NVidia Quadro FX 570m Video Card Issue
My video card [nVidia Quadro FX 570m (I think)] is not being recognized by Windows 7 RC. In the device manager, it says that I have a "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" rather than the name of the card. I used this card with the Windows 7 beta and it worked flawlessly. I had to manually download the correct drivers from nvidia as their automatic detector couldn't see the videocard-- when I tried to install them, again the drivers couldn't recognize the card. The drivers I downloaded were specifically made for Windows 7. I saw a few threads that suggested I run the installers in vista compatibility mode, so, even though it's pretty absurd to install windows 7 drivers on windows 7 using vista compatibility mode, I tried and lo and behold it didn't work. I then tried using the device manager to manually point to the nvidia drivers and it didn't work. I am stumped. UPDATE 7/28 3 PM: I tried another fresh install just for fun and I'm having the same problem, however this time around, I went to nvidia.com before installing any updates or drivers and it was able to detect my videocard and point me to the proper drivers. I got the same problem during installation though. "nVidia couldn't find any drivers for you hardware" or something like that. In addition to this problem, I discovered this morning that my laptop was super hot and had not properly hibernated last night, it was hung on a black screen with a flashing underscore like a command prompt. I also cannot put the computer to sleep: it is either shut down or hibernating, windows does not give me the option for sleep. edit: I'd also like to stress that I had none of these problems with the beta, this is only with the RC...

NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Driver
I have downloaded the driver from the NVIDIA site for Windows Vista. It is version 96.85. After the driver install, I am asked to reboot. Upon boot-up, the screen turns black (after the Windows 7 splash screen) and then eventually blue screens and reboots again. Same thing happened when I did a Windows update and loaded the drivers from Microsoft. Anyone else having problems with this video card and Windows 7?

RC1 NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300 Driver
I have just upgraded my Toshiba Satellite Pro A100 Laptop with Windows 7. Whilst is seems to have gone well and is working fine pretty much, the graphics card is running at a refresh rate of 25 Hertz and won't go to the only other setting available (60 Hertz). It is showing a "Generic Non-PnP Monitor" attached to my NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300 Driver graphics card, and the quality of the display is quite poor. The driver is from NVIDIA rather than Microsoft (via Windows Update) - version is 7.15.11.7967. Display is set to highest res available (1024/768). ClearType is set up and tuned to the clearest I can get, but the display is still very poor - almost as if ClearType is not working. My guess is that I will have to wait for a driver update from NVIDIA.
