I have a new computer Windows 7. I have an 11 yr. old front page designed and edited website. I cannot get front page to work on my new computer but neither can I get Expression Web to work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an hp media center PC m7350n and I have upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7, I also installed a new graphics card AMD Radeon HD 6450. When I was working on Windows XP my front panel audio was working for my headsets and microphone. Since I've upgraded my headsets and microphone don't work anymore. I tried many different things but didn't work. I first checked the connections inside the PC then I upgraded to the last Realtek HD driver, I looked in the bios nothing there to be done, I don't even have an option for front panel. The only option I have is onboard audio- auto/enable and disable which only works on enable. Then I looked in Realtek audio manager and the front panel connectors are greyed out or lighter than all the other connectors. When I plug in my headsets and microphone nothing happens and speakers still work. I checked mark disable back connectors when headsets are plugged in and nothing changes. The only change I have is when I check out mute microphone boost I have a squelching sound in my headsets. All the forums talk about Bios and front panel enabled and alc97 which I do not have as an option.

My front panel audio does not work either. I got bios set to HD audio and i am using the hd audio plug
I have realtek ALC898, part of gigabyte Z77 UD5h mobo, windows 7 ultimate 64bit. Rear jack speakers always work, sound always works. But after sleep, the front panel audio jack does not work, ie headphones silent.
Workaround 1) go to device manager, disable realtek high definition audio, then enable it, then front panel audio jack works properly. workaround 2) restart the computer and it works again.
I tried disabling sleep and using hibernate, since I read somewhere that hibernate is like a restart, but apparently it is not. Using hibernate, once it resumes from hibernate, front jack still doesnt work just like using sleep mode.
It sounds like resuming from sleep mode or hibernate mode, that windows 7 is failing to reinitialize some of the realtek audio drivers, at least those associated with front panel audio jack for headphones. So have to restart or disable/enable realtek high def audio in device manager. I have most recent realtek drivers, tried both from realtek, and most recent from Gigabyte, both have same issue. My windows 7 is fully up to date.
Am I right in this is just failure of 7 to reinitialize some drivers?
so recently i put together a comp using my old HDD, CD-DVD Drive, CPU, and PSU. I bought a new Mobo, GPU, Ram, and case. Anyway i was messing with the CMOS because it wouldn't turn on, so i was resetting it(once or twice) and when it turns on now, the computer directs me to the system repair page. It gives me the option to go repair the system or start windows normally, but the arrow keys don't work on this page. They work on the system repair's next page however. So i got out my Win7 disk preparing to reinstall, but after i put it in it directs it to the same page still.

I load firefox, same issue. I load Crome, it worked for 1 day then same issue. It used to login in fine last week. It logs in fine on my 2 other PCs and my Kindlefire.I have checked for viruses with Avast and A-Malware Bytes in safe mode - nothing. These 2 pick up 98% of stuff. Personally I dont think its a virusn IE9 - Deleted browsing history, cookies, temp internet files, everything under the Geneeral/Browsing History section. Did a disk cleanup, put the site inthe trusted zone, turned off popup blocker just in case, Cleared SSL state, Reset IE9. Zippo
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have an intel i5 2400 cpu, combined with 4gb ddr3 memory. mobo is dh67bl - revision 3. no gpu installed.power supply is via corsair vx450.problem i been facing:
1) bsod saying that a clock interrupt wasnt recd. [url]
2) bsod saying: page fault in non paging area. couldnt grab a screenshot for this.
3) display randomly goes off for a split second and reappears.. but the color of the panes go blue (i havent chosen blue. my setting is for clear pane.)[url] this error solves itself after random number of hours/mins
4) display vanishes for a split second and reappears, and a small balloon at the bottom right corner prompts that the display driver had stopped working.
5) system plain hangs/stops responding. randomly happens.. but more so while on Internet, or after hrs of it idling, i come back to the comp and try to scroll the content onscreen.sometime it revives from the stuck state as if nothing happened, sometimes i have to give it a cold boot.
6) while reading forums with blue bands.. the blue bands kinda form blurry bars which stretch till the end of the screen. i tried to grab a screenshot but the screenshots were clean. the bands moved as i dragged the image about.
7) also, my comp's display went off one day and within a second came back with a blue-ish hue. it restored itself but again has gone back to blue-ish.

os was installed in july.
trying to find some key+click combination to bring all windows for a given application to the top of z-order. For example, I have several Putty terminal windows open in the stacked taskbar icon and I want to display all of them, not just the last used. The only work-around I have found so far is to shift+right-click and "minimize all windows" followed by "restore all windows".

Whenever I look for a string in the SAME filename that occurs at the end of the filename, Windows 7 search desn't seem to find anything.

View 1 Replies View Relatedin vista if I used my media keyboard to open a program it would open but now, whilst browsing with firefox and im listening to media monkey and its on the taskbar in vista I could press the media player button on my keyboard and it would bring media monkey to the front, same if i press calc button now all they do is flash on the taskbar till I hover and click them
can I bring this back somehow is this meant to be happening?

I have already had Corsair send me a replacement front panel connection for the USB 3.0 ports, and am now stuck at what to do. Basically USB 2.0 connection speeds are abysmal over the front panel USB 3.0 ports. USB 3.0 (Hard disk and flash drive) drop connections promptly. Sometimes things can be copied from them successfully at a reasonable speed. But writing any data to them it always, every time drops out and Windows 7 reports that the device is no longer available.

The microphone jack on the front panel of my computer is having detection problems. I have tried the "disable front panel detection" option and then my mic works perfectly after that. However, whenever I hit the mute switch on my microphone, whatever is playing on my computer gets broadcasted from my mic for everyone to hear even though my microphone is switched off. I've tried this with multiple microphones and the result is the same with each of them. I've been looking around for solutions and haven't found any solution to this articular problem.

Everything - sound, rare mic, front headphones , even remote controle worked just perfectly.After that I needed to use the front line-in so I pluged my cable in, changed the mode to Audio Creation and changed the recording device from microphone ( the rare one) to line-in ( front panel). It also worked just fine but since then I can't reverse it back. My rare mic won't work. I reinstalled the drivers, checked my mic - everything is just fine and working(checked on another computer) but the mic won't work. It can't recognize that the mic is plugged in.After long search in the net I found the interesting information that once you anable the front panel the back mic will get disabled automatically. View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently got a brand new computer case and today when I inserted external HDD, the computer reseted itself.HDD is working fine in motherboard USB ports, but when I want to connect the HDD device from front panel, the screen suddenly goes back and computer restarts.In device manager there is no problem discovered.It resets even if I touch the USB port with the HDD connector.It can't be short circuit right?
