Nov 5, 2012
When playing MP4 movies off my HDD on my samsung TV the HDD disconnects after 5 minutes of play, then immediately re-connects, i have gone through all the TV settings and cant find anything in there. How can I remedy this?
I have a Netgear N600 Dual band router WNDR3400 and I believe a WNR2000 wireless adapter.Apparently this router is a dual band, I set up 2 different networks when doing the initial install, but yet my computer only sees the 2nd network? What other info do you guys need to help me figure out why it keeps dropping the connection?
I currently have it set to turn off my displays at 3 minutes of inactivity, and put the computer to sleep after 10 minutes.Sometimes, the displays won't turn off after 3 minutes, but it will then put the computer to sleep after 10 minutes while the displays are still on. More often, it will turn the displays off, but won't ever put the computer to sleep. Why wouldn't the computer go to sleep?Wouldn't any activity turn the displays back on? And so if they don't come back on, why wouldn't it go to sleep?why wouldn't the displays turn off, and then it goes to sleep?
I used to use an old XP desktop with direct connection and it stayed connected, used my vista laptop with direct connection and it stayed connected, and now with my new Windows 7 desktop the internet does not stay connected. It just disconnects and reconnects in a split second. This interferes while I'm playing games (3 different games), it'll tell me I have lost connection, and when I check my internet connection it says I'm connected. Sometimes I see the little internet connection icon on the bottom say X then a little loading circle then back online in a second.
I want to keep both my wireless and LAN working and control my routing using advance option of meric. I want to use my LAN for my local devices and use wireless for internet. My problem is that as soon as I enable my LAN connection, my wireless gets disconnected.
When I installed this Windows 7 the network worked properly, but the problems appeared when my friend installed Windows 7 (we live together) which made our internet flip. Same time one XP-box was working correctly. Most of the times only one of us (Windows 7 users) had working Internet connection.
He got tired of it and went back to XP, and now he has working internet which leaves me the only Windows 7 user in this network. The problem is that sometimes my network just disconnects. I have tested with DHCP/whitout (sometimes it works with different settings, sometimes not). Couple days ago the inet told me that I have incorrect DNS -servers (I have correct) and I discovered that "routing & something.." service was disabled, and enabling it made me get internet access.
When I reboot my computer, it connects to "Network 4" (Network 2 is the place I get inet) and I have to reboot routing service to get it to connect Network 2. The icon in the tray has the red X on it but I'm still typing here.
My network includes this computer, 2x Win XP computers which all are connected to a D-Link router which is connected to our cable modem box.
And another thing.. When I do ipconfig /renew (or some specific thing) it says file not found.. It must have been corrupted somehow, cos it worked early on this computer.
So how can I use this OS with fully operating internet?
I'm trying to access a share on a Windows 7 machine from a media player. My authentication goes through and I connect fine for 10-30 seconds, but then the connection just times out. I can reconnect from the media player, but it always disconnects again.
I've already changed the "Network security: LAN Manager authentication level" to "Send LM & NTLM responses". I wasn't able to connect at all before that.
I noticed that I get an OS related internet disconnect every few hours for no reason, I THINK it's every time the computer gets out of sleep. I have to reset to fix it. What may be the problem ?
I've been having this wierd problem since a few months now.Ever since I reactivated my onboard sound card (I needed to do this since my mic was making wierd noises in Skype) in BIOS one of my playback devices disconnects randomly from the list, but reappears after a restart. This is very annoying as I need that card to use the really good equalizer in my TV which makes my speakers sound great.I have three sounds cards: AMD High Definition Audio Device (From GPU, used for my speakers) <-- This is the one that disconnects ASUS Xonar Essence STX (For music production and headphone listening) SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio (Used for microphone) Facts:
1. The sound card still appears and seems functional in Device Manager
2. The sound card still appears in Playback Devices, but in the "Disconnected Devices"-list
This is what I've tried:- Reinstalling drivers Deactivating/activating devices in Device Manager Installing older drivers I know my way around windows so there's no need to be beginner friendly, I'll ask if I don't understand.
Since a day or 4/5 my internet disconnects exactly every hour for a couple of secconds. I don't know how it started but its pretty annoying and i really would like some help with this problem, i searched the internet i've done a full antivirus scan couldnt find anything.
Tonight I installed Windows 7 Service Pack 1. After the installation I see there's a cross over my network connection. But it keeps trying to connect. It's like you plug in cable, disconnect cable, every 5 seconds or so. But it never manages to fully connect. It gets to the state "identifying" then cross comes back.
i did a clean install of windows 7 due to reg problems at the start of this year.before that the wifi went fine it did not disconnect of me and windows was not saying that it can find the network.so the problem is that when i am in my room it runs very slow at times and disconnects and windows says there is no wifi but if i move outside my door it finds it and connects i find this odd since windows says it a good connection almost full bars and speed running at 54(the top speed) and 48 it the connection speed and signal drop down low at times (but only in my room no where else) any ideas? My remote PC is running Windows 7 Pro while my laptop is running Windows 7 Home. I am using RDC version 6.1.7600.16385 on both my laptop and my remote PC but after I connect to my remote PC using RDC and I minimize the RDC screen on my laptop, after maybe 10 minutes, it disconnects. If I maximize the RDC screen, it will reconnect after 30 seconds or so but what setting do I tweak to stop this disconnection altogether or at least lengthen the time before it disconnects to 30 minutes?
My laptop, running Windows 7, has been experiencing problems with staying connected to the internet. Sometimes within 10 minutes the internet is lost twice. It automatically reconnects after a couple minutes and it's smooth sailing from thereon out. Then it could be a couple of hours later before it disconnects again.here doesn't seem to be a clear pattern as to when it shuts off connection.I've updated the drivers, tried to remove as much as I could from the start up programmes as well as the services, though I am not sure how to check if there are software conflicts. I've used CCleaner to clean up as much as I can, including the registry. I have tried Belarc for the first time to try and look into problems, but am not well versed in it. The programmes that I know of that remain connected to the internet while my laptop is on include AVG, Firefox/Chrome, Skype, Windows Firewall. I am not sure what other kind of info I can provide, but could post running programmes or anything else you would suggest.
I've recently been having this problem where whenever my wireless internet disconnects, it's indicates it's reconnecting but never actually connects. I've tried turning the connection adapter on and off but it's still stuck saying it's reconnecting.
I have hp dv6 laptop with amd cpu and win64 installed and I get usb composite device and integrated webcam randomly disconnects and connects without obvious cause. I checked the cam cables and no problem found the mic module works fine.
I powered it back on and all was well save my CPU fan being rather loud. Closer inspection revealed a blade broke off the fan. I replaced the fan thus morning and it seemed to run fine.I had an issue connecting to the internet, so I powered off, reconnected all the cables and rebooted the router and modem, and it seemed to fix it.I went on using the computer and got a dialogue box telling me that the internet disconnected. I attempted to reconnect and it failed. A couple of minutes later my computer froze. I had mouse control but that's it. I gave it a hard restart and it still didn't connect.I went out with a friend, came back and it connected no problem.I was playing a game and saw the internet disconnected again, then PC froze again.I restarted then ran avg, no problems
My network connection, by it self disconnects and reconnects from time to time,up to 30 times a day if not more.Ive called my ISP multiple times they are not being able to help, my protection software (Eset Smart Security) is also indicating Arp Poisoning Attack alot, and long time ago other messages were being displayed as ICPM Flooding Attack, DNS Cache Poisoning not anymore though only Arp Poisoning nowdays, And "two identical IP Adresses found" message also..
Sometimes my Internet Explorer will randomly disconnect from the internet. Sometimes it will disconnect when I have left the computer for 10 minutes. Sometimes it will disconnect right in the middle of surfing the internet. It is only Internet Explorer because my anti-virus and my stand alone download manager will continue to be connected.
I have Windows 7 Pro and Internet Explorer9. I've had this problem before when I was on Windows XP and it only happens when I have had DSL (didn't happen when I had cable internet).
My university has wireless in the dorms, which is great but it randomly disconnects me from the network. I don't have such problems on any of my mobile devices, so I'm convinced there's a Windows tweak that
i have a problem on my PC with Remote Assistance.i work in the end user support so i need to use it alote.the problem is that when ever i use the remote assistance my PC totaly disconnects from the internet!
I've been running Windows 7 64x Pro for quite awhile (never had an issue) and recently my mouse will randomly disconnect and reconnect. It happens in a split second, basically windows makes that USB disconnect/reconnect sound. A couple times both my mouse and keyboard froze although the PC itself was not frozen. Additionally, all the lights on the mouse and keyboard were still on when that happened. I notice it mostly happens during gaming (fallout new vegas, mass effect 2 for example) although it does happen when I'm just on my desktop web browsing. The keyboard has only froze 1 time, the rest have just been issues with the mouse.
Here are my specs: Windows 7 64x (6.1 build 7601) RAM 8192MB RAM DirectX 11 Intel Core i7-2600 @ 3.4GHz ASUS P8Z 68-V LE (Bios v0803) nVidia GeForce 460 (285.62) Corsair HX 750 mouse: Logitech mx518
As I'm typing this all my temps look fine (CPU: 34c, Mobo 28c). I read several posts that it could be something with Windows 7 saving power, but I've essentially turned off everything that would cause any sort of power shortage to my USB's or PCI buses so I'm out of ideas. I can't figure out whether its a Windows issue, Nvidia, my mouse is just dying (which I don't think it is considering the keyboard froze as well), my motherboard is bad (hope not since I just upgraded in july!)? OH also, I was having the issue, and did a complete reformat and it still occurs, although that doesn't rule out W7 if its a software bug.
Never turn windows 7 off ,however I leave the computer for awhile and return the screen in the sleep mode.Click on mouse , the screen returns but upper right hand corner near time and weather , it says you are disconected . After a few seconds I am connected . Is this normal ?
Well the other day a "friend" put a spyware on my computer and monitored me for a while all because he want me to get a amd crapdozer (coz he HATES intel and thinks amd is actually good) computer. Anyway when he told me he was monitoring me i got pissed so i downloaded like 3 spyware/malware removals (would of put malwarebytes only, but friend decided to block me from doing that) anyway i made a deal with the friend and he decided to remove the spyware. So i decided to remove my extra security software (comodo firewally, pctools spyware doctor i think) and i kept my avast free. While my computer was infected i was playing around with ALOT of settings in comodo fire wall and after installing it my internet has been disconnecting (only in my computer). Now i think that my messing around with comodo has created this problem but im not sure. For example if i want to load google it takes ages and alot of times and after a while it will disconnect.
My modem keeps connection when I turn computer off and on but if I restart (reboot) the conection is lost and have to go through trouble shooting to reestablish the connection. Then I get message from the truubleshooter: "Local area connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration." My old modem broke and I have recently installed the new one. The old modem worked fine in restart. Is it possible thet the Windows 7 is trying to reconect to the old modem? The Internet provider cannot see anything wrong from their side.
Recently I have tried using a NetGear WN311b wireless PCI adapter, with Windows 7-64 bit firmware and drivers, for my desktop to connect to my cable modem. My laptops are able to stay connected fairly regularly, but my desktop has been experiencing random disconnects. I had thought it was the hardware, but I am unsure as sometimes when the disconnect occurs, it will either reconnect to the lost network or completely lose the signal and require the WEP key to be input again.
I have noticed that during both of these times, my internet stops working. A process (which i believe relates to my Ralink Wireless LAN Card) called "svchost.exe" takes a lot of memory and the service name is "wudfsvc". Then I check the performance tab and my CPU's performance spikes 25-40% constantly. Then, the only time I receive the bluescreen is when I try to shut down my computer (if my cpu usage isn't spiking and I do have access to the internet, it shuts down fine and normal, it is only during this weird random event that I get bluescreen trying to shut down). I had installed drivers for my videocard, but that is about it. I did NOT install any drivers relating to my LAN card.
note that this occurs randomly and that particular service is always running at 150k memory usage. However, the only time I get this bluescreen is when the CPU usage starts to spike, my internet goes down and I try to shut down my computer.Upon restarting my computer if this happens, it gets stuck on the splashscreen. So I end up turning it off completely and doing a normal boot up and the computer works perfectly fine.
