View 1 Replies View Relatedi need driver for linksys wireless -G 2.4GHz (802.11g) with model no WMP54G, version 4.1
View 1 Replies View RelatedAbout 2 days ago i bought an USB Wireless Linksys Model: WUSB54GC (802.11g ). When i try to plug it in to my motherboard, it have the sound of detection (ding!) and asking for driver installation, so i put in the CD installation. But when the installation guide ask me to unplug and replug it again so that the process can proceed,
the installation process says that error and there's somethings wrong with my network (which i dun think its the problem, coz i laptop that using windows XP SP3 and works just fine). I try to install this so many times already, and also trying to using different USB port but the end result is the same .
I believed the hype, waited to buy a new computer until 7 came out. Been doing this since before there even WAS Windows, and it does it to me every time. Everything was supposed to work that worked with Vista, which was supposed to run everything that ran on XP, etc. - I got the computer, a Compaq desktop, got a Linksys wireless adapter to go with it. Wouldn't install. Wouldn't even recognize the dang thing was plugged in.
Called Linksys, talked to some woman in Indonesia who told me there was no driver for Windows 7 yet. Went back to BestBuy where I got the adapter, thinking they could help. Seems their geeks aren't any geekier than I am. Got a refund, bought a Belkin G family. At least the computer recognized that the Belkin is plugged in, and it knows there is a signal, but it refuses to connect.
That's weird. Good signal, knows it is a Motorola adapter, but will NOT connect! Re-installed it in compatibility mode. It just laughs at me. Seriously, can I go back to DOS? Barring that, is there anything else I can do besides wait for an adapter to ship with a driver that works on 7?
I have Windows 7 Pro installed on my PC, which uses a linksys wireless USB adapter for internet. I have the latest driver installed, but what happens is the driver won't be retained in the settings after I reboot it. The only way to keep this from happening is to hibernate the PC. Never had this problem before and it seems very odd to me since I don't see a reason for Windows to delete the driver.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 7 x64 installed on my computer and after doing a little research found that my old Linksys WMP54GV4 wireless adapter should be compatible when paired with the Ralink RT2500 driver.
Well I updated the driver and everything went smoothly. The card is recognized and connects to my router with full signal strength. However, I have no internet connectivity.
Does anyone have experience with this particular issue? I'd rather not have to spend $50 on a new adapter.
Driver for Linksys Wireless pci adapter will not install on Windows 7 x64. Is there anyway I can force it to install or extract the driver somehow? It worked fine in my Vista Home Premium 32 so it should work right?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI really think the wmp54gv41x86 is giving me trouble, I have the latest driver for it from the site, but it's giving me lag spikes when playing games, ect. And BSODs randomly. I heard about the Ralink option, but the only drivers I could find were for 64 bit, but I'm running 32 bit, and the ralink site, had this installed, but I ran it, and nothing happened, and I tried manually installing w/e was in the ralink thing, but nothing was there, and nothing new was in system 32, so.anyone know how to get the 32-bit ralink drivers that work with wmp54g v4.1? On windows 7 ultimate 32 bit?
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I can't install my Linksys WUSB100 drive in Windows 7. It wouldn't complete installation, no matter what I do. The software doesn't allow it to download onto the computer and then be installed. HELP. I'm kind of a computer noob so I don't have any experience bypassing the security in windows 7 to install it.

I have the linkys wireless g usb network adapter, its very popular, but doesn't get along well with linux or x64 os's.
Since the install of the RC ive been crashing, and it turned out to be the wireless adapters fault, so i thought back to when i had to get it working with linux, i was pretty sure their were x64 drivers. Ralink chipsets based wireless devices
SOME of the linksys wireless adapters have a "Ralink" chip in them, you can find 64 bit drivers for some of the adapters. I downloaded the one i needed (the first) and installed the software. I then went to update the drivers i had for the wireless adapter and was more than happy to find out that "Ralink Linksys Wireless 54g USB Network Adapter" right under the current 32 bit driver. after you install the software go to
Start > Contro Panel > Hardware And Sound > Device Manager > Network Adapters > Double click your current wireless device, > Driver Tab > Update Driver Software > Browse My Computer > Let Me Pick, > Select The RaLink Driver And their ya go!
After searching google for the past 6 hours and trying just about every driver that even remotly seems like it would work I decided to make an account here and ask you for your advice.
I am running Windows 7 Pro 64bit and it just doesnt want to connect to my network. Ive tried using linksys drivers, Railink drivers, some other drivers someone said would work as well as many of the preinstalled ones. Most of the time i manually search for the drivers and and pick the linksys ones for the list of drivers i get:
"Windows found driver software for your device but has encountered an error while attempting to install it "
"the device cannot start (code 10)"
I would really appreciate some help on this matter. Im hoping i dont have to buy another adaptor but if i do can you guys suggest som that work with 64bit systems.
by the way: this adapter worked flawlessly with Vista 64x without any drivers at all, i was simply able to use windows network manager to connect to my network.
Ok i used the MS compatibly site to see if the linksys WMP110 was compatibly with windows 7 and it said it was, So i bought it installed the drivers (which were actually vistax64 driver) it worked for a bit and then the computer started restard, try change the PCI port same problem,, Windows 7 did not auto install drivers for it i had to manually do it
Does any know of a good wireless card that works with Windows 7 with out any problems

My wife's laptop is running Vista (Enterprise I think) and also works using LPR for both although is a little squirrely sometimes. I recently got Windows 7 and installed the LPR service - Port 1 works fine but Port 2 WILL NOT work - PERIOD.
