I run a Windows 7 RC (64Bit) Build 7100 Version (German).
So far all Programms & Games just work fine.
The only problem i had was with my Creative Live! Cam Vista IM (VF0420).
I downloaded on the creative website the latest vista 64 bit driver & and programm (called creative live cam center). But when trying to install them, combatibility probs showed up.
Then i found a thread on this Forum how to run a programm in combatibility mode (right click on driver, choose properties and then compatibility. Now you can choose a different OS).
But what i did, is even easier. Right click on driver and click on "troubleshoot compatibility". Now Windows looks for the problem itself and recommended XP SP2 mode (in my case). Confirm. Driver is being installed and settings are saved.
I have one old CREATIVE SOUNDBLASTER LIVE PLAYER CARD MODEL CT 4760. I shall be gratefull if anybody suggest driver.CREATIVE SITE ONLY FOR NEW HARDWARE. OS WIN 7 64 BITS.
i have a friend running 7 with a sound blaster live 5.1 SB022, Its running with some XP driver but not without its problems, it seems that his sound output starts to crackle then fade, So im thinking that he needs a better driver,
now i was trying to explain about using windows built in chip set drivers but nether of us are sure what drivers to use or even sure of the actual Chipset used so im asking for your help before he loses hope in 7, We know its a very old card< about 10 years old or so but we are hoping that someone has a welcoming solution with a nice driver..
I have a Creative Live cam vista im vf0260 and I cannot use it on my Windows 7 Home Premium PC because I have no compatible driverand recommend me a suitable driver for my Creative Live cam vista im vf0260
I am having trouble finding a working driver for Windows 7 - 64 Bit for a Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Audo Card Model# SB0100 I downloaded driver file SBL_PC64DRVBETA_LB_2_03_0005.exe which I think is a 64 Bit Sound Blaster Live! update, but Windows 7 does not allow it to be installed because it is not a digitally signed driver. It also seems Creative is no longer supporting these old cards with new driver updates.
I love the card though. I have bought more recent sound cards and the sound of this card is still much better than the more recent sound cards I have bought. So I would like to keep using it if possible.
I have not been able to get any email on my [url]..addresses. My verizon mail works and some of my hotmail accounts work. Also, I can't seem to get onto most microsoft sites.
This driver is working on windows 7 x64 beta version
When you plug the camera into the USB port, open the Device manager and find the "Unknown Device". Then click "Update" and finally point to the directory where you have previously extracted the file in the attatchment.
Just read on Lifehacker MS internal blog report that Windows Live will be put to pasture. Anyone know if it's just the brand or the brand and ALL associated parts including great ones such as Live Mesh?
I have imported my Outlook Express files into Live Mail (from an XP machine to a laptop running windows 7) using the import function in Live Mail. When I look in the Storage Folders there are no files to view. In the Quick Views I am able to read and see unread emails from Outlook Express but not emails that I have read on my XP machine. To do the import I copied the files from the XP machine to a USB stick and then on the laptop browsed to find the files on the stick. The folder containing the OE files in not read only.
Last evening I spent nearly 4 hrs trying to get my bro-in-laws live mail set up for him. I even spent 1 1/2 hrs chatting online with an at&t rep, who finally said it was a software problem and not an at&t problem.
Initially he could send but not receive, and then after working online with the rep, all he gets now is a password error and we KNOW that the password is correct because he can go online and get his email using that password. I set up a hotmail account in live mail and it works fine, I even set up my own cox.net account on his machine and it worked also in LIVE Mail.
I am at my wits end and cannot help but think it has something to do with the server configuration in live mail. If I remember correctly, the server settings the rep had me use were along the line of smtp.att.yahoo.net. There seems to be a disconnect between live mail and his at&t mail servers. Can anyone help me please?
I bought a new computer last week & it's pre-installed with Windows 7. When I first put in my Mini TV DVB-T USB stick, Windows 7 found drivers for it and WMC recognised it and gave me instant TV to watch. However, just this last 2 days it all went sour. I still have the channels listed but on each one I get sound and just a black screen. No idea what changed, perhaps a Windows update as you get heaps of these when running a new system. Anyway I have tried running the USB drivers again and re scanning my channels but the result is still the same. It's so annoying knowing it has worked but now it won"t. Here's my system stats.
I have just upgraded my HP MC from Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate with a clean install. When I run the Live TV setup, Im able to go through all the steps including selecting the set top box and channel changing speed etc. However, when I get to the very last step where it aks me to confirm the signals to be configured with, I select next and get the follwoing error " TV Setup has encountered a serious problem, select finish to exit and try again. If the problem pesists, restart MC or the computer. I have tried this but to no avail.
1/28/2012 -Running Win 7 ultimate 64 bit: I cant log in to any windows Live pages especially hotmail using IE-9. I can go to "My MSN" page that works just fine until I click on the Hotmail window. The hotmail window shows emails in the window but when I click on the underlined HOTMAIL link it then attempts to sign in and it just flickers on the page and then after some time it brings up a page that says that it is having problems signing in. It says:This site may be experiencing a problem,The site may not be a member of the Windows Live Network, You can: You can sign in or sign up at other sites on the Windows Live Network, or try again later at this site.
I tried going to www.hotmail.com in IE-9 to sign in and is dose the same thing. I also tired login.live.com and it lets me enter my username and password. it takes me to my information page but as soon as I select hotmail it goes right back to the same page that says:This site may be experiencing a problem,The site may not be a member of the Windows Live Network, You can: You can sign in or sign up at other sites on the Windows Live Network, or try again later at this site.
when trying to open emails I get message 'An error occurred while trying to open this message' I tried repairing Windows Essentials.I am running Windows 7 Home Premium Service pack 1
[CODE]A friend spent an afternoon troubleshooting and established that it was indeed installed on the system, but was not launching. Her assessment was that it seems to "be pointing at the Installation exe".All attempts to remove and reinstall have failed. I am the administrator, as required.
To restore the data if my system is not booting in windows 7 or any other live os cd supported to windows 7 by which we can boot system and restore the user data backup.
I've been using Clonezilla-Live for awhile now to create images of my Win 7 and other OS installs.Clonezilla provides the peace of mind that only a bit by bit image backup regimen can provide (IMHO).It does have a learning curve however.I've created a guide to using Clonezilla to clone estore a partition.I've posted this guide at another forum (Scot's Newsletter Forum-All Things Windows).
