my dell n4010 (14R) is working fine if no software is installed on win 7 but after installing small software of daily use. If shutdowned is being not able to start.what kind of proble is this. hardware or software.
I've had my laptop Dell INSPIRON N5030 for about a year.It was working fine up till now but when I boot it up it gives me a windows recovery error. It says: windows failed to start. a recent hardware or software might be the cause. When I choose the launch start repair, it just gives me the windows screen with the mouse and nothing happens. Then if i choose load windows normally, it will just go to the loading screen then it'll stay there for a while then go back to the windows recovery error.I've also tryed to reboot the hard drive by pressing F12, but it won't let me it just puts me back on to the windows recovery error screen.
I want to make my Laptop a lot better and faster but I'm not sure on what to upgrade. Take a look at my specs and could you tell me on what I could upgrade? I know that I cannot upgrade my Graphics Card because of Intel's Intergrated Cards but what else could I upgrade?
I have a dell inspiron 1525 with 2gb ran dual core and i downloaded the upgrade advisor for windows 7 and it said that it has all the requirements to run windows 7 but I just want to make sure...
My laptop is Dell Inspiron 1554 and I am facing serious problems during start up. The screen becomes white and after 5-10 minutes, the screen vibrates and directly windows 7 opening screen appears. Fortunately no display problem is appeared throughout the day until shut down
I have a 4-month old Dell Inspiron N411Z with Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit. I have been noticing that it has trouble "waking up" after sleep or hibernate, when I open the lid, after it was left on from the previous usage, I have to hit power button and it boots up with the first screen being safe mode, start windows normally, etc. I get the unexpected shutdown screen. It then boots normally and all is well, until I close the lid and let it sit, this happens whether it is plugged up or not. My first thought was to adjust power settings, sleep/hibernate timers, etc. I have tried nearly every combination, down to choosing "never sleep or hibernate" and still have the same result upon starting up again. I have scoured forums, updated drivers, tested and tried nearly all advice that I have found and can't seem to resolve this. Upon reviewing my Event Viewer, I am consistently getting the same errors nearly every time. The following will be the first six entries in "Administrative Events":
-ERROR-The previous system shutdown at 5:16:06 PM on 5/1/2012 was unexpected. -WARNING-Name resolution for the name [URL] timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.

Nothing that I do or change, seems to affect the outcome. However, one thing that I have noticed is when I take the laptop to work or vacation with me, it seems to work fine!?? I noticed this after packing it my suitcase and not using it for nearly 3 days on a trip and went to use it when I got home, expecting to have to boot up as usual, and I get the "resuming windows" screen! as well as a nearly full battery, as if it went in to sleep/hibernation and woke up as it should. This has happened at least 2 times that I am aware of?
I am trying to figure out how out how to get sound on my laptop. The sound thing on the taskbar says No audio output device installed. I have a Dell Inspiron 8100 laptop running Windows 7. Anyone know of a solution to this problem?
From what I can see, this seems to be a fairly common problem across computers...My Dell Inspiron n5010 (Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit) sporadically won't read DVDs. A couple of nights ago, it took a couple of tries - last night, I couldn't get it play one at all.Having looked for various fixes, I have tried the following:-Updating drivers-Disabling and re-enabling the drive in device manager-Going into the registry to remove recommended entries (high/low filters i think? I only had the "high" option, which apparently means that fix isn't for me...)-Uninstalling any DVD-burning software that may be interfering with my laptop's own DVD player/software.
I recently bought Dell Inspiron 14R N4110, which came only one default partition (C:) with Windows 7 Home Premium. But later on, I did one more partition (D:), and I installed all drivers(which comes with Dell laptop). but some how my internet is not working properly. Sometime its too slow and not connecting.I reformatted the laptop, and Restored the modem/router to factory defaults (in that order) neither helped. But if I restored my laptop to factory default (which I don't want, because it has only one partition C: ), than everything works fine. Why its happen ?
