Jun 25, 2012I accidentally deleted my main administrator account. All other user are standard. Cant download and dont have administrator password.

Apr 29, 2011I have 3 USER accounts in Windows 7. I accidentally changed my Administrator Account to a Standard User Account one year ago. Now I have no administrative account privileges. I really do not want to do a system restore as my computer is loaded with my business archives, etc.

Feb 26, 2012I installed windows 7 on my laptop. in the process of setting up my account I deleted my adminstrator access. on the welcome screen it will show my admin name and when i use my password this is what is says:the user profile service service failed the logon. user profile cannot load.I have tried to reinstall windows but I need access to my account. Like noted above safe mode is black and says safe mode on the corners if this is fixable I plan to wipe my system to factory settings because everytime i installed windows before this issue it kept copying my harddrive and now I have less then a 1gb on my computer.

Oct 31, 2011I am using Windows 7 Pro 64x and apparently the default user account (Owner) that I use is not working correctly. Unless I have UAC set to Never Notify, I cannot open Control Panel or UAC again. I have created a second user account as Administrator and it works correctly.
I would like to know if there is any way to fix this problem short of a clean install of Windows. If not, is it possible to move all of my settings to the user account that works correctly and delete the one that does not.

Feb 18, 2012I recently logged onto my account about 2 days ago to finish a project. The music file I used for the account was could not be found and when I went to locate it I was told I didn't have administrator rights. I went to Control Panel because I was sure I was an Administrator, but sure enough, I was set as a Standard User. I tried changing it up but it wouldn't change. I tried changing the account name also, and it wouldn't change. I could only change account picture. I can't open UAC, I click it and it blinks but nothing opens. I deleted any recent program installations,I booted in safe mode, however I was still not able to change my account,I tried activating the hidden administrator account but I received an "access denied" message,I tried creating a new account but I received the following message:"The specified account name is not valid, because account names contain the following characters: /[]":;|<>=+,?*Please type a different name."I didn't use any of those characters in the account name.I ran 2 different virus scans, and they came up with nothing,I turned the computer off, unplugged everything, and pressed the power button for 30 seconds, and rebooted, but still nothing!My roommate shares this computer with me, and her account is still an administrator. However she has traveled and I haven't been able to get hold of her yet. We share music files and the file I was trying to use is in her account.why my account was changed and how I can change it back?

Would some things be restricted completely, or would it just require a password instead of automatic? Dec 9, 2011As usual, I woke up and turned my PC on, tried logging into my windows 7 admin account, stayed on the blue 'Welcome' page for about ten minutes before it decided to load, but it sent me to a temporary profile with no access to my files, programs etc. I tried restarting, didn't work. Tried resetting my system to an earlier date, this also didn't work. Going to take it in to get looked at but was wondering if anyone knows the cause of this? Or solution to fix the problem?

Then I disabled the original administrator account (net user administrator /active:no)Now i only have Standard user account. whenever I try to open anything 'as an administrator', there will be a prompt in dimmed screen, asking for administrator password and click to yes; but there is not any place to enter the password.

I disabled it. tell me that there is a way to type in the Administrator's password inorder to start the elevated command prompt? Why can't I type in the Administrator's password? Is it because I disabled it? Why is there only one way to enable/disable the Administrator account in HOME PREMIUM? I can't even try to restore the system to the earlier point because I have logged in with a standard account, and have no way to type in the admin's password. I should have known that a cheap version of Windows 7 would bite me in the axx one day.
