Looking for an alternative for the windows DVD maker,Its okay but looking for something with a little more choice not to be restricted to the windows one. What I want is one that will burn home movies and also make a slide show that can be played back on a normal DVD player to watch on the TV. Free one if possible,But will spend a small amount,Been looking through google and the one pops up is 'DVD Styler',Has any one got any thoughts
I've signed up for a couple of health-related email newsletters such as webmd that include a sideshows. When I click on Next to access the slides, I get this message in a box:[JavascriptApplication]: Error adding rule: constraint failed It seems that Javascript is often a method of torture for me; I am unable to access some websites or go the next page in a site when various Javascript messages appear in the lower left corner of the screen. One search comment on this problem said to disable AdBlock which I did: the slideshows still don't work.
FREE video maker for Windows 7 with features that are way better than Movie Maker (MM).i've had the following problems with the many applications I've downloaded:
1. hijacked my browsers
2. output vid - has watermarks OR only 30 seconds is free OR pay to download file
I'm putting together a slide show of 3D images that I want to show on my TV next week when we have company.I would like the images to stay on the screen a little longer without having to actually create a slide show in some special application like Premiere. The Slide Show function in Explorer works great if I can control the timing.
just completed a first-time new Windows 7 PC build. Successful installation of Windows 7 Pro on WD 600GB 10000 system drive. Went back and installed 4 additional HDD. (2) WD Caviar Black 1TB 7200 RPM and (2) WD Caviar 7200 500GB HDD from XP system that were used for storage.
BIOS sees all HDDs, but are not viewable in Disk Management. System Specs: Antec Nine Hundred ASUS P6X58D-E MOBO
[Code].....
However, only three are visible in Disk Management. Missing (1) WD 500GB (previously used on WinXP system) and (1) new WD 1T.
I was using my desktop like normal then an error came up saying that there was a hdd failure, and that i needed to scan for errors. all my files disappeared and only this error would come up. There would be hundreds of the same msg spamed on my screen. I scaned my hdd for errors using my Bios/Advanced options and no errors came up. I decided to take out the hdd and put it into my External Hdd bay to hook up to my laptop to extract the data off it.When i hooked it up to my laptop it showed up empty. I went into folder options and clicked on show hidden files and folders. Everything came up but it was grey/transparent. I then copied the files to another hdd for backup.
Then i formatted the hdd and put on a fresh new OS. Id like to mention i have a second internal drive that i use for backups but it wasnt backed up recently when this issue happen so i had to take out the main drive and use it as an external to back up onto another external drive.so then when i click on my second internal drive after the reinstall of the new OS it shows empty i have to go in and show hidden files and folders.. now they show again transparent. also i plug in my external to get the recent back up and all those files are still transparent when i move them to my desktop that is freshly OS installed they are still grey/transparent and i have to keep the show hidden files and folders to view them.. so its all my music, pics, documents etc they are all greyed out..i tried to copy my backup IE favs into my new IE browser and they wont show up because they are hiden it shows it copied to the favs folder but in ie i cannot view them if that makes any sense.
Windows 7 DVD Maker is free, that's a good thing, but it can not support MTS, M2TS, TS, HD MKV, HD WMV, and HD MOV and other formats, that's a bad one, and it can not edit videos either! in that way, i am thinking of buying a professional dvd creator to meet my need? any suggestion? or which one you are using?
The problem I am citing today is not a new one, however, I cannot find a fix for it. Its the problem with Windows DVD maker where you set the aspect ratio to 16:9, but the result is always 4:3. Does anyone know of a fix / workaround for this problem?
Im trying to combine 4 avi into a single dvd, hence I've tried to aljoint these four but its doesnt fit.the reason is the duration is only limited to 150 minute, does anyone know how to length the durations more than 150 minute?so I can put four movie into a singe dvd using this application
When I try and burn a avi file to DVD using "WINDOWS DVD MAKER" it reboots my system about 3 - 4min after it starts. I have tried a third party program caled "ConvertXtoDVD 3.8" with NO luck
I have edited out the adverts from a program I recorded on tv using windows live movie maker (came with win 7). However when I replay the program it plays on a reduced size on my laptop and on my tv screen (not on the full screen size as it did before editing). The recorded format is MPEG-2 TS Video. How can I make sure that it plays at full size?
Could someone take the time to write STEP by STEP how to copy a Homemade DVD and Burn it to a blank disk using WindowDVD Maker that came installed with windows7? I am very New at computers and am 76 Yrs old and don't understand a whole lot of this stuff, please bear with me while I learn.
i understand that the "windows movie maker" is not included (why? why?!) in windows 7.how can i download it or get a microsoft (free!) program to edit my clips ?
I was browsing through my program files while working on getting Unreal Tournament to host multiplayer when I came across a folder called "DVD Maker."
I've never installed anything like it.I went to control panel, uninstall programs, and I did not find it.I tried to delete it and it says that I do not have permission to delete the folder, only "TrustedInstaller" does. I tried to give myself permissions, (I am on my administrator account) and it fails.
I got my Windows 7 Home premium about 18 months ago and have never had a need to use DVD maker. So when someone told me I could use it to make menu's on my home movies I wanted to try it.So I got to "Programs and Features" to activate DVD maker but it won't work.It gives an error "Unable to install some features"Can I download it ? On the Microsoft website I see only a developers kit for Vista.
I want to burn some photos to a dvd to send to a friend. When I looked at the photos before burning them I noticed that today's date was imbeded in the photos...I don't want that. How do I make sure that the date does not appear on the finished dvd?
I am adding two video items to burn onto the same DVD. I would expect the viewer to be able to choose to play either video 1 or video 2 but the preview screen does not list the files separately but simply has only one 'play' button. What am I doing wrong?
how can i add a font to the program? the one i want to use is not included. idownloaded the right one, installed it on the computer, so it works in otherprograms, but it's not showing up in dvd maker.
I need a GOOD Movie Maker Program. My setup is Windows 7 64-bit with 12 GB RAM and 24" Flat Panel Monitor. The Windows Movie Maker Program that came with the computer appears to only import files in AVI format and appears to only BURN to DVD in WMV format.
Here is what I am trying to do. I have many old VCR tapes of family events. I bought a converter box that lets me convert VCR tapes onto DVD's. I also have a newer camcorder that records on Mini-tapes. I can use the firewall cable and import those directly into the computer with Windows Movie Maker but as previously mentioned they get saved on the HD as AVI files ONLY.
My goal is to be able to take all those files and cut/paste whatever pieces of each individual files that I want, reorder them in whatever order I want (probably chronologically) and then splice them together to make a movie. Finally I want to be able to burn these movies to DVD in whatever format I want (not just WMV as Windows Movie Maker insists on)
I already have the following programs on my machine. (All came in the machine)
Windows DVD maker
Windows Movie Maker
Roxio Easy CD & DVD Burning
I don't mind putting in some time to learn a new program but I don't want to find out that I wasted my time because the program just can't do what I want it to do. Any advice or which movie maker program to get/use would be greatly appeciated. If one of the programs that I listed above already does everything that I said I wanted to do, then don't hesitate to write back, call me an IDIOT and tell me which program does what I want.
i have burned 2 movie files onto disks and each time althought the picture is perfect their is no sound at all. but the files will play with sound when played directly by windows media. Both files are .AVI Files.
I borrowed photo dvd slideshow program named Photo DVD Maker about two years ago. The version I always use is 8.20 but recently it promoted me to upgrade, so I upgrade to the latest 8.51 version. In fact, I don't like this version, because I am not familiar with the buttons position and I don't want to spend time on finding these options. So I'd like to go back to my old version, BUT I can't find it on my computer. [I did not backup it :(], so now, how can I get back my 8.20 version of Photo DVD Maker? anysoftware has chosen the best answer to his/her question.Click here to view the answer that was selected.
after working on a video project in Windows DVD maker,,,,after saving,,,,the file is saved as a PROJECT with the (.MSDVD) extention ! Meaning,,i can't watch it anywhere else except on the Win DVD Maker ! However, i am already done with it and want it to have a regular file extention for use anywhere else !
That question would be, instead of using a USB thumb drive to copy the Windows Mail and Movie Maker 6 folders, could I use an SD card instead? An SD card is more convenient for me anyway, so that's why I ask.
