my computer starts lagging after i watch longer videos on Internet. the same problem occurs with gaming, initially the game works fine but starts lagging 10 mins into the game.
the sound crashes randomly, and any videos also start lagging, (both Internet videos and windows media player videos,) at the same time. it occurs any time, sometimes half an hour from when i started the computer, sometimes after 6+ hours. the only thing that solves the problem is to reboot the computer. i installed a clean install of windows, but it still crashes. the sound works fine when it's not crashed. i always have conversations in skype, maybe that has something to do with it?
my computer is an acer aspire m5810: intel core i7 860 @ 2,8 ghz nvidia geforce gts 240 4,00 gb ram 500+300 gb hard drive realtek high definition audio windows 7 ultimate 64bit
For about a week now I've been having issues with my computer just randomly lagging. To fix it I have to restart it. I recently just got back into wow and thats when I noticed it happening. Im running a 590 gtx, i5-750, 8gb ddr3 ripjaw ram, p55-sli MB, Prosilencer 950watt psu. I didnt have this issue until wow, but even stopping wow it kills my frames. Dragging browser screens lags to. Im not sure what it is. Everything has been fully updated as well. GPU is on the latest drive, I've installed every windows 7 update thrown at me. My OS is win7 ultimate - 64bit.

I have a Dell Optiplex 760 with Windows 7 Professional. Whenever I click any function having anything to do with Backup and Restore it starts lagging and opening the recycle bin takes forever. When I reinstall Windows, it seems fixed. I'm trying reinstall Windows 7, but the setup keeps hanging at 'setup is starting...'
My computer has recently started giving me the BSOD. The laptop was new store built about 2 months, BSOD only started about 1 week ago, and has happened several times. It's mainly when using BBC iPlayer to watch videos, but also when using Spotify and once when I tried to empty the recycle bin. I've attached a zip of the DMP files and the other info.
I am completely stumped as to why videos tend to lag & freeze my screen for 10 second intervals, aswell as cause my browser to freeze with a busy icon. I've tried everything I know to do with no progress. I've tried numerous different browsers with no luck, scanning for all bugs.as well as disabling firewalls, cycling my router/modem & making sure all of my drivers are up to date. My computer should handle everything just fine.
I'm having a serious problem when trying to watch videos in full scream. When in full screen, the videos get slow, lagging in various scenes, sometimes with cuts in the audio too.
My config is Sempron 2600+, 1.5gb ram and Geforce 5500 256MB 128 bits. Display 22", 1680x1050 resolution. I'm using nvidia beta driver for Windows 7 (it seems to be the same driver used for Windows Vista, don't know).
I tried lots of codecs and players, nothing works. Windows Media Player and Media Player classic are working almost perfectly than any other players, but I really hate WMP.
I tried to change the settings in nVidia Control Panel, but I can't find the nvidia control panel, it's not in the right button menu.
I installed the game Marvel Ultimate Alliance and it's slow too, but I have all the requirements to play it smoothly. I'm using build 7600. How can I solve this?
I built a PC the middle of last year, and ever since I've been having freezing problems. Either when I'm watching a video, or playing a game at random times my PC will completely freeze, forcing me to reboot. I've found (testing different RAM, scanning for viruses, updating the bios/video card drivers, etc.) and so far nothing has worked. Here are my specs:
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68 DELUXE/GEN3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 Processor: Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz Video Card: HIS Radeon HD 6970 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PSU: Antec High Current Gamer 900W RAM: 16GB
I also have a pretty big case [URL] with two large fans. At first I thought the card might be overheating, but even under a heavy load the highest temp it ever reached was 81 degrees (and that was only once while rendering an effects heavy video). I don't necessarily want to reinstall windows 7, but I'll try that too if I have to.
My problem is that my computer keep lagging every few seconds, the video (entire display, including mouse) freezes and audio buzzes.I can go for a while without anything going wrong on my computer, but once it starts to lag, it happens for about 10 seconds on and off. This happens almost randomly, the freeze is about a half a second and happens one after the other.I have looked at many different articles describing problems similar, but all of them are talking about, just a video lag, or just an audio, etcAt first I thought it might be my ram, maybe it was faulty, but i have switched the two 4gb sticks around and tested both so I know its not the ram.
I just upgraded my computer to Windows 7 64 bit and I'm having a lot of trouble with it. One of the biggest issues I have is performance. Ever since I installed Windows 7 my computer lags so much that it's impossible to watch videos or listen to music and even type. Is this problem caused by my graphics card? My computer is fairly old so I have an on-board GeForce 6150 since my card fried a few months ago and I never got to buying a new one. Could this be the problem?
So, these are giving the main performance to my machine. I have also a nice Samsung D5000 TV (32" ) FullHD. When I connect my Laptop with a TV, computer start lag. It even doesn't use all of CPU (20-25%, while playing 720p video in TV with 10 fps (Fraps)). I've all latest drivers and everything should work. Using Windows 7.
my new Asus x54c is lagging all of a sudden everytime I play my video games and it is about a month old; I bought it brand new. is it dust on the fan? Should I be taking the back apart, pulling out the fan connection and checking to see if there is dust in there?
I have a desktop gaming pc here, that was working perfect for more than a year then suddenly started to lag during game play. Now even programs are sometimes starting to not respond. Here is the specs below
RAM: 4 GB 32 bit windows 7 ultimate Processor: AMD Atholon 64 X2 Duel Core 5000+ 2.61 GHz Graphics Card: GeForce 9600 GSO 768MB DDR2 Hard Drive: Sata connected 250GB
I have tryed dusting the computer and the prosessor, I have tryed using uniblue speed up my pc, registry cleaner, drivers update. Did run all of them didnt help. I have de-fraged. I have installed avg free protection, and i connected an old ide hard drive, installed a clean windows 7 with drivers, and games like mineraft were still laggy.
When I want to turn on my computer, After pressing the power button, the lights and fans start but not the computer itself. I need to turn off (by holding the power button pressed) and on several times until finaly the computer starts.
I have posted previously about my computer starting and then stopping and doing this continuously with no beep.I tried replacing the hard drive and this made no difference. One thing I notice is the orange reset light is not on and only flashes on when it turns off.
my computer start giving me blue screen error. It's a recurrent problem, but it happens only when I'm playing games, altough it seens to happen with all games, it happens more often when I'm playing World of Warcraft and Pro Evolution Soccer 2011, since they're the ones I play most. When the system crashes, the blue screen shows no file names but the log when the PC resets shows that BCCode: 7f / BCP1: 0000000D, don't know what it means. My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit. I ran out of ideas for solutions, tried an OS reset (I was on XP and formated it to install 7), reinstalled all my drivers and tried all kinds of forums, looking for a solution, but nothing happened.
i would like to if its possible on windows 7 to run a bat each time computer starts from HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun for example of from startup or its just not possible because of the uac ? i dont want to use task scheduler
I just got a new computer, custom built nothing on either hard drives, i have a 1tb hard drive and a 64 gb SSD drive. I have a brand new windows 7 oem version, I start my computer up and it gets stuck on a screen.
I've had my desktop PC in for repairs 5 times for dropping into a slow running state. It was HPs top of the line 2 years ago and has plenty of horsepower. It runs fine for a few howers. Then, it starts taking 20 to 30 minutes just to open a folder. Boot up takes 30+ minutes. The Geek Squad seems to think mother board. They've run all the diagnostics and cleaning programs. They eliminated the hard drive, too,
I have faced this problem recently, my computer starts boot slow and load folders, icon and internet pages slowly during startup. When I bought this computer I did not face any problem like this, it was running smooth and fast. I am using CCleaner to clean up my temp files and registries, but why it still runs slow?
I noticed that when I shutdown my computer through windows I can turn my computer on just by holding the right mouse button than the usually start button on the tower. Is this under Windows 7 64 bit home features? Because I can't find anything on google about this feature.
My computer freezes many times when ill start it up and get to desktop. It wont take any commands after starting and ill have to shut it down by turning power off. It seems that when ill start my computer in safe mode and then ill restart and go back to normal mode it works normally. All these began after 2 latest updates.
