Pops Up Twice Which Says ''Catalyst Control Centre: Host Application Has Stopped Working?
Jun 1, 2012problem is that when i start up my computer i get a box that pops up twice which says ''Catalyst Control Centre: host application has stopped working...windows can check online for a solution to the problem....now ive run 'Driver Genius' to update all drivers but the boxes still pop up, it doesent seem to be affecting the computer in anyway but its kinda annoying

Dec 1, 2011I've just upgraded my Media Centre from Vista x64 to Windows 7 x64.Previously when watching recorded TV I could use the skip fwd/back buttons on my remote &/or keyboard to skip fwd 30 secs, or back 7 seconds; however this no longer works. They do however work perfectly when watching/listening to Movies/Music.The on screen skip buttons still perform the same task (fwd 30s, back 7s).Reading other forum posts I gather this is because the skip buttons are looking for the next track and by its nature recorded TV doesn't have any tracks.Is there a way of editing the registry to reprogram the buttons to skip fwd a specified time frame when watching recorded TV? I'm using a logitech dinovo edge keyboard for which I've installed the latest drivers. I also use my iPhone with JumiMouse as a Remote and a Hauppage TV Tuner Remote, all the above have the same problem.

Not just in word but on all places I type using the computer, even this message!I use this key constantly as I am a secretary and do lots of documents and letters and it is driving me nuts not being able to use this function.When I reboot I sometimes get the function back for a short while then it disappears again.I have just had a brand new computer put in but it happened sometimes on my old PC too so I don't think it's a hardware issue. Jan 27, 2011I have an Acer 5741 running W7, all ok until few days ago.Now disc seems to be always busy doing something, and all actions slower and the busy rotating circle is often displayed.Control Panel opens but most CP links do not now respond eg View devices, uninstall a program.Some applications briefly open (via their desktop shortcut) but then their window auto closes and they disappear, eg Open Office, firefox, IE8, Fastone (with mssg has stopped working), Advanced System Care (ditto), FinePix (ditto). These appns do not appear in Task Manager either. Have tried access via wifi and direct connect but same results and even tried Firefox in Safe mode.Other appns are still however ok eg Adobe, Avast, Task Mgr, Crap Cleaner, Threatfire, Free Commander, Photocopier, Windows Defender.I have rolled back W7 to before when problem started but no improvement.It seems to me that its a W7 problem rather than the appns

The files I'm trying to open are not video game files, but rather program files.I am currently working on a 64-bit system. I have only had this machine for 2.5 weeks.

Mar 11, 2011I'm hoping fr soem input on a recent issue that I've started to encounter where Windows 7 'freezes' and my only option is a 'hard reset' via held power button and restart.This has only started happening in the last week or so, and seems to only (and nearly always) happen after I've shut down a game (one of several) running via Steam.The games themselves will work fine, but after I come back out to desktop/Steam then Windows will stop to respond after a couple of instructions. Ctrl-Alt-Delete will fail to bring up the Task Manager screen etc.
