View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having this issue with multiple versions of Windows 7 (beta, RC, and now retail), so I'm wondering what the issue could be. I did a search for this but didn't find anything - if there is a thread, please close this and direct me to the right place!Anyways, I have a Radeon HD 4850 and am using Windows 7 Home 64-bit. I have been trying to install the Catalyst Control Center (CCC) for quite some time now, but it always ends in the same result - a blue screen. I've downloaded several different versions since the public release of Windows 7 (tried about 5 driver versions) and each has been an equal failure. The only way I update my driver is by extracting the files from the CCC downloader and updating them via the device manager which works fine.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI bought a pre-built desktop a little over a year ago. It cam with integrated graphics, an ATI Radeon 3000. I installed an HD 6670 shortly after. I now have a two monitor setup. I have my primary monitor hooked up to the 6670 and the secondary to the 3000. After updating CCC to 12.6 from 12.4 the second monitor isn't detected. I've been going to device manager and uninstalling the 3000 drivers, then restarting, and my secondary monitor is detected, drivers auto install, and both work. Unfortunately when I check CCC it's back to 12.4.

catalyst control center isn't appearing in catalyst install manager? i have uninstalled all ati stuff from my laptop and ccc simply won't appear, also, when installing the display driver, my screen resolution will always get ruined and becomes stretched and messed up. and i am having problems with battlefield 3, where my terrain becomes black and just a bunch of random boxes, similar to this - battlefield 3 graphics problem (black ground) (solved) - Internet but i'm trying to install catalyst bullshit and leads to my first question.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy catalyst control center was bugged so i decided to just do a complete uninstallation, which was successful. When i went to do the fresh install, the install manager would not give me the option of install the catalyst control center even though i uninstalled it. i have been looking through various fourms for solutions, but i only found one that seemed appropriate but it failed. it was the solution of looking in windowsassembly and uninstalling the ATI related products with the public key code of 90ba70f846762.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi noticed that my PC had been using a lot of the SSD for information i felt should be saved on the HD. i read some forms and someone said that the C:USERS folder can simply be dragged to the HD so that everything is saved there. so i copied it onto my other HD and renamed it USERS2. unfortunately i noticed that this didnt and doesnt work and for some reason the USERS folder on my SSD has gotten renamed to USERS2 as well and the Catalyst Control Center application no longer works... i dont know how to fix it and im afraid that i might dig myself further into this mess.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to update my video card, which I haven't done since I got my laptop a year ago. I'm not very experienced when it comes to drivers, and I want to make sure I get the right one. I'm looking for a second opinion.
I have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 550v video card, I think it's series is 4650 but I'm not sure.
Catalyst Control Center says it's driver packaging version is 8.742, I imagine that's pretty old.
Is using the AMD Driver Auto-detect the best way to update my video card? It says:
Graphics Hardware: Mobility Radeon HD 4xxx Series
The best driver for this device is: catalyst_mobility_64-bit_util.exe
Is this right for me? or is there another way to update this card.
