I am getting my desktop ready for the launch of Windows 7 and I done a check with advisor and it said I I have to get a update for 'ATI catalyst control center' and my version which was installed onn the desktop when I got it is1.2.2113.53 but I cannot find the update and all it says is version 9.9.
My catalyst control center was bugged so i decided to just do a complete uninstallation, which was successful. When i went to do the fresh install, the install manager would not give me the option of install the catalyst control center even though i uninstalled it. i have been looking through various fourms for solutions, but i only found one that seemed appropriate but it failed. it was the solution of looking in windowsassembly and uninstalling the ATI related products with the public key code of 90ba70f846762.
So I wanted to install newest version of catalyst control center and it would install it but nothing would change. I formatted my laptop and still it wont install the newest version of ccc. I downloaded a driver from toshibas site it would install that but it seems like an old version (2010.0315.1050.17562).
This are my computers specs: windows 7, 6 gig dd3 ram, Intel core-i5-430m 2.260 MHz, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650
I get an error message when I first startmy computer saying, your Catalyst Monitor Control Center has stoppedworking. I dont know what this is. Sois this something I should fix, or justforget about it? If it should be fixed
Ive been trying to install this program on my computer because when i plug my laptop by HDMI cable to my Samsung TV, the resolution does not fit well and everything looks pixelated. My friend had the same problem but his laptop included the Catalyst Control Center and he made some adjustments and the problem was solved.I already installed the program but when i right click on my deskop the program doesnt show up on the options, on my control panel it says it is installed but it wont open for some reason. My computer is an HP Pavillion dv4-4068la with Intel HD graphics card.
I've been having this issue with multiple versions of Windows 7 (beta, RC, and now retail), so I'm wondering what the issue could be. I did a search for this but didn't find anything - if there is a thread, please close this and direct me to the right place!Anyways, I have a Radeon HD 4850 and am using Windows 7 Home 64-bit. I have been trying to install the Catalyst Control Center (CCC) for quite some time now, but it always ends in the same result - a blue screen. I've downloaded several different versions since the public release of Windows 7 (tried about 5 driver versions) and each has been an equal failure. The only way I update my driver is by extracting the files from the CCC downloader and updating them via the device manager which works fine.
I currently connect my LG Flatron W2361V Monitor & my HD 5830 GPU with a HDMI cable, however some times when I turn my monitor off & come back to turn it on it takes a long time to pic up a signal & when it does system feels slow. However after checking the Catalyst Control Centre is showed my GPU Activity was 99% & it stops like that until I reboot.
Ordered a new XFX HD5850 Black edition which is being delivered tomorrow , for the nice sum of 111.Will be running it in crossfire with my current 5850.Do I just plug it in and enable crossfire in the catalyst control center or will I need to install drivers for this card first?
I just bought an HP Pavilion dv7-6120sx equipped with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6770 running Windows 7 home premium. I've been trying to remove the scaling option in the Catalyst Control Center, but it detects no monitor under the Advanced Display Settings
I bought a pre-built desktop a little over a year ago. It cam with integrated graphics, an ATI Radeon 3000. I installed an HD 6670 shortly after. I now have a two monitor setup. I have my primary monitor hooked up to the 6670 and the secondary to the 3000. After updating CCC to 12.6 from 12.4 the second monitor isn't detected. I've been going to device manager and uninstalling the 3000 drivers, then restarting, and my secondary monitor is detected, drivers auto install, and both work. Unfortunately when I check CCC it's back to 12.4.
catalyst control center isn't appearing in catalyst install manager? i have uninstalled all ati stuff from my laptop and ccc simply won't appear, also, when installing the display driver, my screen resolution will always get ruined and becomes stretched and messed up. and i am having problems with battlefield 3, where my terrain becomes black and just a bunch of random boxes, similar to this - battlefield 3 graphics problem (black ground) (solved) - Internet but i'm trying to install catalyst bullshit and leads to my first question.
I have a 8500 all in wonder 128 mb card. the machine is win 7. i can install the drivers, but cant seem to get the control center to install. when i do try to install it, the message tells me to install generic card drivers first. i have tried that to no avail.
i noticed that my PC had been using a lot of the SSD for information i felt should be saved on the HD. i read some forms and someone said that the C:USERS folder can simply be dragged to the HD so that everything is saved there. so i copied it onto my other HD and renamed it USERS2. unfortunately i noticed that this didnt and doesnt work and for some reason the USERS folder on my SSD has gotten renamed to USERS2 as well and the Catalyst Control Center application no longer works... i dont know how to fix it and im afraid that i might dig myself further into this mess.
I have an HP compaq with dual core and amd radeon graphics...windows 7...lately my videos will not continue without having to revamp...so-to-speak...(in other words..I have to wait to hear and see video). Now I am receiving a message that catalyst control centre: host application has stopped working. What do I need to do to fix this problem?
[I reinstalled Windows 7 using the Upgrade option (not clean install) but before I could do the reinstall it said I had to uninstall Ati Technologies which I could then reinstall after the upgraded Windows]I ran install for the Catalyst Softward Suite for drivers which had the CCC listed, but there is no CCC option in the install list when I run to install. It just doesn't appear! I've uninstalled ATI Catalyst Install Manager, ran Driver Sweeper in safe mode and then reinstalled but still the CCC does not appear in the list. I've also checked the Windows/Assesmbly key problem too. It's the same problem as this post: Catalyst Control Center missing/Wont install?I have a Radeon 4000 series card.
I want to update my video card, which I haven't done since I got my laptop a year ago. I'm not very experienced when it comes to drivers, and I want to make sure I get the right one. I'm looking for a second opinion.
I have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 550v video card, I think it's series is 4650 but I'm not sure.
Catalyst Control Center says it's driver packaging version is 8.742, I imagine that's pretty old.
Is using the AMD Driver Auto-detect the best way to update my video card? It says: Graphics Hardware: Mobility Radeon HD 4xxx Series The best driver for this device is: catalyst_mobility_64-bit_util.exe
Is this right for me? or is there another way to update this card.
when i start my notebook pc hp pavilion g6-1200tx.i am getting an warning message like the catalyst control center is not supported by the driver version of your enabled graphics adapter. please update your amd graphics driver or enable your amd adapter using the displays manager
I have installed windows 7 on my computer about a year ago. I've never had any problems to the point where I would need to reinstall the OS, however, I've noticed that on cold boots the system runs painfully slow, it will boot up fairly fast on a normal restart tho, like 20-35 seconds. On a cold boot it can take about 1-2 minutes to load in windows, and then once that happens its not so much it going slow as that there is a point during which I cannot click anything or else it will take forever to accomplish.
What I mean by this is, it will load to my desktop and for a period of about 3 more minutes I will try to right click on the desktop and it will do the circle thing for like 20 seconds before giving me the drop down menu. If I right click again right after, it shows up instantly. Same with trying to open up a file within those first couple of minutes. It will take like 45 seconds to open a picture. I have tweaked my windows 7 to startup only necessary drivers and turned off search index along with Aero.
My HDD isn't fragmented and I've got about 120gbs out of 450 available. So its not that bad. Now some of you may say, well its just loading the processes. But I only have catalyst control center loading up as a startup item. And even after it loads. It goes through a wierd 3-4 minute phase in which everything is slow as hell. Then works perfectly fine.
