View 4 RepliesI decided to install Windows7 Home Premium on my HP dc5000 SFF. it installed fine but every time it reboots, I get an error that says."FATAL ERROR: Failed to locate necessary table(s) to make adjustments. Press any key to continue booting"This only happens when using the "restart" mode. if I use "shut down" and let the computer turn completely off, it will start with no errors!I've never seen anything like this and not able to find anything on Google or other boards
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using various print drivers for various locations with success for a month with my new laptop. Today, all drivers gone.Loading new ones doesn't work. Print spooler is not "started;" it starts successfully, then is not "started" next time I look.Other possibly relevant information: HP 1020, HP MX 340 at home office.Tried: multiple restarts of print spooler, multiple reboots, troubleshooters, HP detect and download drivers?
View 5 Replies View Related(Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, HP LaserJet CP1215)When printing from Word (or any other normal application) the documents just sit in the print queue with Status = "Error - Printing".If I stop, then re-start the Print Spooler service, they then print.Strangely enough, this does not happen if I print from the HP printer diagnostic utility.I've done complete re-install of the entire printer driver suite and I'm pretty sure everything that end is OK. So what's happening with the spooler? The error message isn't exactly very revealing

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm on Windows 7 and have run into the annoyance of my PrtScn key actually bringing up the print dialog box to print. It still copies the screen to the clipboard for a paste into paint, but I can't figure out why it's bringing up the dialog to print or how to turn that off. I have seen it before maybe 8 years ago on Windows XP but do not remember what was done to correct it. When I try to search, I just find posts about it not working or how to turn the whole screen capture function off for the PrtScn button.

You will find the screenshot below. As you can see, they are getting lines across the screen but in a way that I have never seen before. Now, i am holding their words loosely, but they state that this only happens in the web browser. Looking at the screenshot I can see the line are contained within the browser window, as the IE tabs and window at the top of the screen are intact and normal.

A month ago, I've started seeing those blinking horizontal lines on my screen. Almost half of my screen is affected. I wonder if it is a problem with my video card or just some viruses. Well when I print screen, the lines are not showing. The same as when I connect my netbook to a projector

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy monitor starts OK but in a few minutes the screen is either covered by a fine mesh multi colored grid or 4 verticle bars approx. 1-1/2" wide made up of fine multi colored lines similar to those seen when I defrag but running top to bottom of the screen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently however there is a white line that is going through the wallpaper. and now add to that a red line. At first i thought it was my moniter but the lines only go through the wallpaper, they dont appear in videos, when im browsing the internet, or when in game. They are only appearing on that wallpaper. I can change the wallpaper and the lines aren't there. If i change back they are there. So i figured that my image might be corrupted so I went online and looked for the same picture again. I found it twice and both times the lines were there on the picture. Not after I downloaded it, as I found the picture online, on the webpage, before redownloading.

Since a couple of weeks, I have a problem with my laptop screen. From time to time, suddenly, everything on the screen disappears and I get a screen with only white and grey lines (see picture attached). When this happens, I can't use the laptop anymore and I have to shutdown by pressing the power button. On some days, I have no problems, on other days, this happens several times.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my computer. I just restarted it, and it ended up booting with purple/blue lines all over the screen.
So the first thing i did was go into device manager. All it told me was a caution symbol next to my NVIDIA geForce 8500 GT. so i downloaded and reinstalled the drivers for it. No effect.
Then i booted into safe mode to find if it was a motherboard issue. The lines remained.
Whilst playing Skyrim "it automatically detected Ultra High Settings on my AMD Radeon HD 7850 graphics card, with updated drivers" white lines began flashing, then odd shapes started appearing on the screen. I tried it in low quality and still the same problem. Surely such a graphics card would be able to handle Skyrim. I have no mods on texture packs and have not touched the files

Or if I drag too fast, the entire selection gets unselected. I also noticed that when I double click on a word or sentence, the whole word or sentence gets selected. If I drag veeery slowly downwards from left to right, I can manage to select a little more text than I would have if I did it at the normal speed

I've got a scan lines (horizontal) going up as if It's scanning a paper!?This only occurs when playing (all) games without VSYNC. Leaving VSYNC on solves the problem but I'm more used to play on higher framerate. Movements feel very slow when leaving it on (especially on FPS games). I've taken screenshots but it's not visible. Also there's something fishy going on:
Additional info:
-my graphics card is not overlocked
-Not overheating when leaving vsync off (remains below 60C)
-I'm using the official MSI drivers for my MSI GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr OC edition (ForceWare 280.26)
-Using VGA cable with a DVI adapter for my graphics card
Here's the exact problem I've found on the internet: Getting Scan Lines in High End Gaming on GTX 560
I recently made a thread on this forum talking about how my new PC setup has suddenly started creating lines on my screen
Link: Wavy lines across screen, (usually grey-ish colours) on new setup.
After trying a full list of things; 2 different monitors 2 different VGA cables 3 different mice 3 different keyboards change power supply change graphics card used onboard graphics switched ram sticks and removed one at a time reformatted a dozen of times unplugged all sound from computer checked motherboard for any visual problems and couldn't see any updated all drivers I could possibly think of Ran Memtest for 7 passes with no errors I've finally found out the problem and that was when I connected my graphics card using HDMI to a HDMI compatable monitor it worked fine and I had no more lines!
So it seems that using HDMI is working fine but soon as I use a VGA cable its not working and the lines are back. It only confused me more when I connected a VGA cable from another computer to the monitor it all worked fine.
As far as I can tell it's something to do with my computers VGA/HDMI settings, I've tried onboard VGA and that still didn't work so it doesn't seem to be a graphics card problem just something is stopping VGA working properly but HDMI is working.
I'm gonna have to go buy an expensive new monitor with HDMI compatability.
I have an issue and think noone can solve it. This problem is randomly occured during commonly pc works such as web browsing, gaming, typing in notepad ,etc ; Freezing with Colored Vertical lines.Somtimes this ballon appears with such a message like "Display driver has stopped working and has been recovered".
View 9 Replies View RelatedI don't know if it's drivers, or the monitor, or something different. I only see the lines when windows is running (I do not see the lines in BIOS). The lines somewhat change when I change the refresh rate, however they always come back (and they're always there no matter how small, or large the lines are - they differ).
(It is sorta like a fuzz, but they're lines moving everywhere) (If I put my desktop background as a darker gray, the lines sorta look darker purple if you pay close attention) [URL]
(the image is taken from a cell phone because I wasn't sure if the lines would show if I took a screenshot, seeing that I do not know the problem)
I have also provided an image which shows my specifications of my computer: [URL]
I have faded blackish lines moving all over the screen (kind of a fuzziness). It will gradually change as I change the monitor refresh rate, however it's always there. I have noticed, I can only see it in windows; if I'm in bios, It's not active. I can not try another monitor because I have no other monitor.
