My computer uses windows 7 32 bits. When I install Virtual DJ, it shows:
'C: UsersUserDownloadsinstall_virtualdj_home_v7.05.exe is not a valid win32 application.'
Does this mean that Virtual DJ is not supported by windows 7 32bits?
My CPU is Intel Core 2 E4300. I have been running Windows 7 x64 and have installed Microsoft Virtual Machine 64 bit edition.
I have 3 Windows XP machines inside Virtual PC 2007 SP1, and all of them runs fine.
I was reading the thread regarding the CPUs that supports XPM, and E4300 is listed as NOT supported.
Is it possible? I can run my own WinXP virtual machines, but I cannot run XPM?
After I installed Windows Virtual PC Beta x64 (Windows6.1-KB958559-x64.msu) and Windown XP Mode Beta (VirtualWindowsXP.msi), I can NO longer run my Virtual PC 2007 program.
The error message was "Virtual PC 2007 SP1 is not supported on this version of windows".
This is weird.
Also, where can I find a tutorial on setting up XPM step by step?
I wonder if there are some AGP video card that are supported in Windows 7 32-bit?

On my main computer I'm also running Ultramon 3.0.10 with two monitors. On the Virtual PC window where the close X and maximise and minimise command buttons are there is also two more there for Ultramon, one is expand the window over both screens and the other is move the application to the other monitor. The issue I've found is that when the Virtual PC is locked on my main screen, and I click on one of the ultramon buttons it will move the Virtual PC window to the second monitor and unlock the current Windows session that is running. (major security flaw)

Now I can use the Anytime Upgrade and use my product key to get Pro activated but because I'm in basic, 7 won't work on the VHD at boot. When it asks for my product key upon first time setup, it doesn't work since it's looking for a Basic product key.
Is there a way to get 7 Pro on the VHD through the CMD?
I get as far as connecting USB - Windows acknowledges the connection but then never finishes the installation. Downloading and installing a driver from HP site didn't help.Know that I had originally following HP's instructions and attempted install w/o CD and with the printer USB connected during first installation. This failed same as all subsequent installs. I'm also running XP mode on this machine but had not started XP at the time of printer install.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed XP Mode on my Win7Pro desktop and everything went smoothly. I am trying to do the same for my Lenovo X220 laptop, which comes with Windows 7 Pro including SP1. All software is fully ligitimate with proper updates, etc.
XP Mode appeared to insatll ok, but not Virtual PC. When I try to run it, I get a message that says, "This upgrade is not applicable to your computer". FWIW, Windows XP Mode does not show up in my Windows 7 start programs listing.
This machine is a very clean Windows 7 OS install, with no special security other than Kaspersky.

View 0 Replies View RelatedI'm about to try and get a hackintosh running. And this needs to be OSX Lion since my graphics card is not supported in Leopard Snow. Problem is, to my knowledge, Lion is only installable from within OSX Leopard Snow. But since I can't run Leopard Snow, I'm sort of stuck.
My question is, would it be possible to install an operating system on a HDD from within a virtual machine? Such as VMware or virtualbox. Because then I'd be able to push the OS into the harddrive and then just boot of the harddrive?
What I've done:
1. Boot from Windows 7 DVD
2. Shift-F10 to command prompt
3. created the vdisk
4. selected the vdisk
5. attached the vdisk
6. exit back to install screens
When I select my vhd I get the normal message saying it cannot install but when I click the Next button, I get an error saying there isn't enough free space on the selected device but it shows the whole drive as free space. It won't let me continue with the install.I've tried creating the partition from diskpart and it still doesn't work.
Legally use XPM CD-key to install virtual XP ? For example, I want to use my XPM cd-key not on Windows XPM, but VirtualBox XPM. Just wondering...
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a win7 64 bit pro system that I have created a win7 32 bit virtual machine in because of one program that won't operate in 64 bit. The program needs 32 bit video drivers installed but I can't figure out how to do that.
I opened the setup on the video card cd but it says "the graphics adapter installed in this system is not compatible with the current set of drivers" and it won't install the drivers. The opening screen of the setup cd says "installed graphics adapter: not found".
If I'm reading the tutoral correctly, I can't install Virtual XP on Home Premium, is that right?
