Cannot Save Images To Specific Location - Admin Permissions Required?
Nov 23, 2011I am the admin of my PC and I cant save images to this location. What do I need to do to let me save here?

Set Default Save Location To Last Save Folder?
Jan 22, 2011Is there any way to set the default save location folder for downloads in IE8 to the last folder that the same file type was saved in? It makes no sense to default to a single folder and have to browse through to the desired folder for every single download, so I assume there has to be an option somewhere.

Jun 3, 2011After upgrading to Win& Pro i'm not able to save these files to a location of my choosing. example:I attempt to save an image to a folder I get the following Error message Quote: You Don't have permission to save in this location.Contact the administrator to obtain permission. Would you like to save in the My Pictures folder instead? WTH!?! I am the administrator and I'm 99% sure I've got permission to do this already. I've checked the settings for this folder and it shows that i've got all the permissions and "Full Control".

Jan 3, 2012I just noticed two of my computers are automatically sharing the entire user's directory with all permissions for everyone, I was reading up on this a bit before and it seems it's a Windows bug. I was wondering, since the password protected sharing is turned on by default, would anyone have been able to gain access to my computers information if they didn't have a user account / password or would they need an account / password no matter what the permissions are set to.

All had been going well until I tried to install Zone Alarm and found problems with it accepting and registering the license. After a couple of chat sessions, things pointed to Permissions issues. At that point, I did some reading and discovered that my default Administrator account was not active, so I ran commands to fix that. That still did not allow me to delete some of the Zone Alarm folders or to have the license "stick" in the registry.

Apr 2, 2012My first post and an issue that recently started and I can't seem to figure it out. When I do a save as file and I click on Desktop on the side bar it will save it to my desktop in System32/config/desktop instead of user/desktop. If I save a file instead of save as it will go to my normal desktop under user/desktop. Is there a setting somewhere to change the default desktop back to user?

a.) it says I'm the admin
b.) my name as admin is the only user on this computer?
IF I specifically open/run as admin notepad then I can save it. However, if I then click on that same document & add to it I cannot save it again w/ what I modified/added.

Oct 21, 2011I have an iPhone 4 which has internet tethering. I can either connect this via the USB cable or wirelessly via my intel 6300N wifi card.
When I connect to my laptop via USB cable, the 'Set Network Location' box comes up, which I select Home Network. It is simply named 'Network', but I then go in and change 'Network' to 'iPhone'. This then shows up in the Network and Sharing Centre as iPhone on a Home Network. This works perfectly, is super fast and when I'm finished, I disconnect the USB and shut down.
When I next turn on my laptop and connect my iPhone internet tether via USB cable, I am once again asked to ''Select a location for the 'Network' network''. Windows 7 netwkr and Sharing centre isn't recognising the same iPhone is connected and asks me to set up a home network again.
I've gone into 'Merge or delete network locations' and the original 'iPhone home network' is set up (not in use) as well as the new 'Network' location that it's asking me to set up. If I merge the second 'Network' and original 'iPhone network', this removes the second network and I'm left with the 'iPhone Home network (in use).
If I disconnect the iPhone and reconnect, it asks me each time to select a network location for the 'network' network. If I don't merge them, I end up with Network 2, Network 3, Network 4 etc all the while still having the original iPhone network not in use as well as any other not merged or deleted.
Why won't it recognise the same iPhone as being connected and selecting the iphone home network that I set up and why does it keep asking me to create a new one whenever I connect?
This never happened before, with my laptop previously recognising the iPhone home network I originally created ages ago. There has been no significant updates or changes that I'm aware of, except that I updated my iPhone software, bt this has been done in the past numerous times with previous iPhone updates and hasn't happened before.
I have a Virgin wireless broadband usb modem, which the system recognises each time I connect it. It's only the iPhone connection that's not saving. The iPhone network is 'unmanaged' but so is the Virgin Broadband USB.
I have a Pioneer Dreambook P170HMx running Windows 7pro x64. If there's any other details you need, I'm happy to supply them. All I want is my system to save the network configuration and recognise when I connect the iPhone tethering that it's an already created iPhone Home Network.

May 22, 2011i am trying to create a new site in dreamweaver. the site will have a coldfusion extension (.cfm). i am the only user on my notebook so i have complete administrator privileges. however, when i try to save the site in the c:inetpubwwwroot folder (because that's where coldfusion applications are saved) i always get an error.the error says: "you don't have permission to save to this location. contact the administrator to obtain permission" i thought i was the administrator? i am unable to change the settings in the security tab in the properties panel either. that is the extent of my troubleshooting capabilities.

When I go to change the permissions it states I need admin privileges. The only account I have on the box is the admin however I did change the name to something besides admin. The account is definitely an admin account.

Aug 6, 2010I changed via the dialog the TEXT SIZE via the screen resolution in the control panel to CUSTOM SIZE.With one of the newer "Cinema" or Very Wide screen (1680 X 900) displays after I'd increased the text size to over 160 % I didn't get the possibility to SAVE any documents any more via the SAVE AS button. The SAVE dialog would appear but the SAVE button was missing.The effect was noticed in Office 2007 (all programs) Notepad etc etc.Seems to be a Windows fault as this should not be allowed to happen.on more traditional "Squarer" type monitors -- no problem.

Nov 26, 2012My problem is that even though I have only one user account defined on my machine and it is set to "Administrator" it is not being allowed to do admin types of things like deleting folders. I tried to create a user group but that's not an option on the Win7 Home Premium version that I use. Jul 11, 2011HP Pavillion DV6 laptop running Windows 7.
Problem: Internet Explorer 9 and also Firefox 5 do not load web images. Strangely though, Google Chrome seems to work. Attached you will find some screen captures. I think both were done before the browsers were updated. So far, I've updated the browsers to the newest version, and updated java to 6.26.
