Can't Connect To Internet After Power Failure?

I've got the power cut while PC was running (w7). After rebooting I'm not able to connect to the internet anymore. In Device Manager, under Network Adapters there is a "Realtek PCIe GBE..." device properly installed. But under Other Devices there are now more entries with exclamation mark: - Network controllerMultimediacontroller - PCI Communication controllerI tried updating the drivers, then deleting and reinstalling but no success so far. Still can't connect to the internet. The browser can see the router, at 192.168.1.1I don't know where the problem is

My laptop is 1 year old and has worked great until a month ago. I was unable to connect to the internet and thru troubleshooting got a "missing network adapter". I have since upgraded the driver. I also purchased Registry cleaner program that supposedly found over 400 registry errors.I found by accident that I was able to connect normally if I turned the PC off by holding the power button. Then restarting, I got a message to start windows normally. When I did, and then it connected to the internet normally. Now, each night if I leave the power connected to the laptop and shut down windows from the Start command it works fine. I do not want to have to leave the power connected. Toshiba tech support is unable to help other that suggesting I return the PC to the "out of the box' status which is totally unacceptable to me.

I've been using Windows 7 since it went public, within the last 18 hours I got about 15 BS'sOD. I think the problem had something to do with the fact that I plugged my laptop into a power strip BEFORE turning the power strip on...idk. But whenever I plug in my laptop it takes about 30 seconds for a BSOD to show. I copied a couple down, here they are:
1. 0x0000008E(0xC0000005, 0x8BFAE3D1, 0x91C8DA94, 0x00000000)
2. IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
0x00000000, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x82C5DC91
3. 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x8CBB63D1, 0x8BA84A94, 0x00000000)
KI1.sys - Address 8CBB63D1 base at 8Ca0900 Data Stamp 4911af5e
4. STOP: 0x0000008E ( 0xC0000005, 0x8BDB73D1, 0x8BB8FA94, 0x00000000 )
Kl1.sys - Address 8BDB73D1 base at 8BC0A000, Data Stamp 4911af5e
What I've tried:
Unplugging the power cord. Result: nothing happens but the battery drains so I eventually had to plug back in. Removing the battery. Result: I didn't get a BSOD for about 25 minutes. Using a different power source with battery. Result: Same as with original power source. Using a different power cord. Result: BSOD after 30-45 minutes. Plugging in computer when closed. Result: this works but I can't use the computer.... Currently I'm using 1, 4, and 5.
FYI: I posted a similar message on the Microsoft forum but all they told me was that it was a driver problem...I'd like to know is there anything I can do? and what those bug codes mean.

as stated in the thread title, whenever i play a Internet video on my pc, it powers off. originally i thought it was a problem with the browser or the flash plugin, but after doing some research, i found that it is caused by the video card. something is going wrong, to confirm this, i ran a stress test with atitool, this caused power failure, and then, in order to be absolutely sure i tried to play "team fortress 2" but it crashed at the menu. initial thoughts might be that it is overheating, which i will check, but i doubt that is the problem since i have a quite well ventilated full tower case.

I was among the 1.4 million SDG&E customers that lost power on Sept 8, 2011. At around 10:30PM the power came back on and I attempted to boot up my Win 7 machine (which was on at the time of the outage). It gets through POST, displaying the list of auto detected devices, clears that screen to black and then displays a flashing white caret on the black background and gets stuck there.Any ideas on how to restore without re-installing Win 7 (and everything else)?

Recently, after a pretty heavy storm we had a power failure. At the time I was using an .exe program ...and I also had firefox operating. When I booted my computer up again neither program would function. I wasn't too bothered about firefox, but the other .exe program is pretty important as I need it for my job. Anyway, I managed to get the .exe program working again by opening it with the Compatibility Wizard and running it as if it was XP. (However it wouldn't permanently "save" in this mode, so had to go through the wizard everytime I had to use it).
Before I "found" the Compatibility Wizard solution, I restored the computer to before the power failure, but this didn't make any difference. Now I have had a second power failure. Once again with the .exe program open. And now it won't open at all, either with the wizard or without it. I reinstalled the program...and it still didn't work. (Although Firefox did when reinstalled). I have done a Registry Repair with RegSofts registry repair software....but still nothing. Now I am "a bit" stuck, to say the least !

I've been experiencing issues with my computer. It tends to blue screen and reads "Driver_POWER_STATE_FAILURE". I've tried to run some scans and diagnostics and even backed up my PC and then rebooted it with factory new settings, but it is still BSOD. I have a dump file, but I cannot post it because it says I do not have permission to open or attach it.

My computer wouldn't start after a power failure during resizing partitions. I tried downloaded and used Repair Disk for Windows 7 64bit, which leads to the relevant screens but after a repeated restart of the system a note "...Interrupted operation: Insert the Recovery CD or other Recovery Media and reboot your PC..." still appears for already couple dozen restarts. I've purchased my Sony Vaio VPC23FX laptop with no additional disks and anything. Should I buy a new copy of Windows 4 Home Premium and start everything from a blank page or are there any other ways to make the computer start properly?

Why doesn't my computer boot up after power failure? The bios is set to boot after power failure. I have to jump start the motherboard to get it to boot. What causes this to happen? Is it a power surge? I can unplug and plug the computer back in and have no problem booting. If I have a power failure, no Boot. The last power failure was a sudden off no "on-Off" fluctuations. I want an explantion so I can prevent it from happening. Is a UPC the only solution?

I live outside US, which means, a power outage from time to time is normal, but when that happens in the middle of a crucial moment is very stressful. I went to the BIOS and turned on the option Restart After Power Failure, though it wasn't what I was looking for. Is there a way to set my Windows 7 to resume my last session (all the programs I was using) after power failure ?

I just received a computer I bought about a week ago, yesterday. Last night, while it was on and downloading files, the power board it was plugged into shut off. Now, it's stuck in an endless loop of failing to boot. It keeps asking me to insert the Windows 7 installation disc and restart. I put the disc in but it stays stuck in the loop and I am unable to do anything. I've managed to get it to go to the system repair setup, but it continued to try to repair the problems for over 6 hours and nothing has happened.

So about a month and a half ago I bought myself a new MSI Laptop, and in the past 3 weeks I've had 5 Driver Power State Failure (DPSF) BSOD's. I've searched around but I'm not confident enough when it comes to BSOD's to actually do anything without first getting some advice for my particular problem. All I have really been able to tell from this is that the error always occurs at the same location, ntoskrnl.exe (+7cc40), which, being a critical part of the OS, I assume is a very bad thing. I am getting these "driver power state failure" crashes with increasing frequency. I suspect it's a driver conflict involving my M-Audio Fast Track Ultra (music recording interface), which is connected via USB.My computer is an HP 671-340US notebook, bought in June or July 2010, with Windows 7 Home Premium (and a whole bunch of HP bloatware!) already installed. I have eliminated some of the HP crap because it constantly interrupted my work, and shut down my computer right in the middle of what I was doing, if I missed the message balloon. Don't know if that contriubuted to the problem. I updated all the drivers and Windows 7 yesterday and today. Crashed again this morning. No hardware upgrades; using it the way it came

Have a Windows 7 PC working fine for 6 months, now fails to resume from sleep every time. On attempting to resume the PC appears to go through a powering up loop (Hard disk and fan spin up) which then goes off and repeats indefinitely till you force the power off by holding town power button. When changing 'allow hybrid sleep' in Power Settings to disable; it cured it for a few days. The issue came back, so tried enabling this setting - same result. Disabled again, same result.Update Intel Graphics Drivers to latest. Fixed the issue again, just for a few days.

My very recently purchased laptop was showing some problems from last 2 days. It would get stuck at the shutdown screen and then after extended span of time I had to press and hold power key to turn it off. It happened only twice. I had updated atleast one or the other thing before shutting it down...either through HP Support Assistant or Windows update.
Last night i ran Windows Update and tried to turn off my pc but since updates were being installed it said Windows will shut down once the updates are installed automatically...so i went to sleep only to find in the morning a BSOD. It was stuck on it again i had to turn off my pc by holding power button and then windows refused to boot beyond the Windows 7 logo black screen. But after a couple of retries it started.
