CA Internet Security Suite Plus Versus Xbox 360

Having replaced Zonealarm and MSE with CA's Internet Security Suite Plus V7 on my Windows 7/64 box, my XBoxes can no longer connect to the Win 7 Media Center computer. I turn off the CA firewall and everything works fine again, but I want to properly configure the firewall for MCE communications.I called CA Tech support and they started to help, but then refused to continue once the support supervisor was contacted regarding my problem, indicating it was up to me to obtain and sort out the port problem.Having read several posts on various sites on the topic outlining theoretical solutions, I have yet to find a do-this-it-works-and-solves-the-problem post. I posted this inquiry elsewhere but got referred back to all the stuff that I'd already found, read and tried (that didn't work).Since then I've found Microsoft's list of programs and ports that Media Center needs opened up, but am not familiar enough with CA's ISS+ to make the fewest number of changes to get the job done.

I recently purchased a lenovo laptop for home purpose around 1.5 months back. The laptop was having already microsoft security essentials (MSE) and mcafee antivirus plus software. Unfortunately, yesterday i was facing blue screen on death type of error (BSOD) error. On one forum, I found that it may be due to the mcafee antivirus software. So, I uninstalled the software as per suggestion.Why MSE was not able to detect this bsod error? Moreover, why mcafee, which itself is a anti-virus software, was causing this issue?
Morever, I want to install good free antivirus software. I am totally confused whether should I install the antivirus software or, the internet security software. Please throw more light on good free internet security software from longer perspective. (I just found that almost all free trials are only for 1 month only)? Moreover, why built-in windows firewall and microsoft security essentials (MSE) are not enough for detecting malacious software. Why extra internet security software or antivirus software is required ?

In hopes of solving some issues I was experiencing with IE-9, I upgraded to Pre-Release 10. Anyway, now that I'm on IE-10, I've noticed that some webpages I've written no longer appear the way I'd like them to. Specifically, this relates to tables; more specifically, to their borders. From what I can tell so far, this is due to the fact that IE-10 has deprecated the following HTML tag: bordercolor="value". I've considered the idea of reverting back to IE-9, but rejected that as a misguided attempt to hold onto the past: i.e., I think other browsers have already deprecated this tag; IE-9 being the last hold-out.
So onward we go. And from what I can gather, the way forward will involve some kind of CSS implementation, about which I know almost nothing; something I'm not bragging about, to be sure. I've begun to review some online documentation, specifically, HTML Dog. While this seems like a great resource, I'm having a hard time using it to quickly learn how to make the necessary changes to some production webpages so I can restore them to their previous appearance. Perhaps, I should mention that I really don't use any special webpage generation tools. I just write the straight HTML code using MS Wordpad. Also, my knowledge of HTML is both rudimentary and backlevel: what I've learned to do over the years is probably based on the HTML 3.0 standard.

I am having problems connecting to Xbox live because it has no internet access and I have tried lots of protocols and nothing is working. I need help! I am not a computer savvy person but I think I have done enough resetting and going through countless forums. Okay here is the deal I am upstairs and my wireless connection is downstairs with 4 out of 5 bars of reception. I connect the Xbox to my laptop and it has no internet access for some reason. Is there any way to use 2 XBOX 360 Controllers for Windows and 2 XBOX 360 Wired headsets at the same time in a game on the same PC? I have tried and both headsets are working properly independently but was just hoping to get them both outputting sound primarily with both microphones recording as the secondary priority.

which anti virus/internet security to buy! Ours has run out. We use our laptop for storing itunes, facebook, twitter, downloads etc as well as stuff like doing cv's etc on. We've got windows 7, don't want to spend a fortune, only have one pc in the house and we don't use it for business and don't have kids using it. Also it's running so slow and always making a noise! We defrag the hard drive on a reg basis, anything else we can do

I'm using windows 7 and INTERNET explorer 8 when I get on the INTERNET and try to go to Hotmail a window comes up and says, "Security Warning - Do you want to view only the web page content that was delivered securely?" In the box that comes up it has more... "This web page contains content that will not be delivered using secure HTTPS connection, which could compromise the security of the entire page." Then it has three buttons to click on, "More Info", "Yes", "No" - This comes up time after time, page after page, didn't use to do this and I haven't downloaded any programs for security, or to use with/on the INTERNET.

I have Windows 7 home 64bit and I use the 2012 version of Norton Internet Security.Over the last few days the Action Center keeps telling me that NIS has been switched off and raising issues about antispyware, antivirus and the firewall. NIS is sitting there telling me that everything is secure.
I don't think there is a major issue but it is very irritating. I can resolve it for today by going into NIS, switching everything off and then back on again. So it looks like something has gone wrong with the communication between Windows and NIS at start up.

I had to reconfigure my Yahoo mail du to a virus.
Now, i can access my mail, but not my options pages. Also, i need to re-enter my user name and password every 30 minutes
I tested all my yahoo mail options using it with another PC under XP, no problem at all.
So the problem reside in my pc running under Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 8. Somewhere, a security device prevent me to access these pages.

I'm running win 7 x64 just recently updated to IE 9 and by the way I'm also running MS scurity essecitals, it was not doing this when I had IE 8. My question is I don't want my files I dl to be scanned. I went into MSE realtime protection setting and unticked scan all dl's but it's still doing it. How do I disable it ?

on 8th Feb 2013, I noticed my norton security pane was missing from its usual place . It was instead replaced with window defender. When I checked norton , it was turned off but turning it on failed. I have never experienced something like this before. I have tried system restore but this has also failed .

My system has suddenly started giving me a 'Windows Security - These Files cannot be opened - Your Internet security settings prevented one or more files from being opened.' Message when I tried to start 'The Sims 3' game. I have played this before, many times. I also got the msg when trying to install Antivir Antivirus. I couldnt install it. I Have changed the internet security settings and still nothing. I just got an Acer Predator. I transferred settings from XP using Windows Easy Transfer. The Internet connection was working perfectly. I installed Comodo Firewall, Avira AntiVir and ThreatFire. Then it could not connect. I plug the Ethernet cable into the XP computer and it connects no problem.I tried a system restore and it didn't fix it. I am running a thorough AviraAntiVir scan now on the Windows 7 system. I don't want to assume it is a virus, but the system was unprotected until I got the three security applications installed. I did also see some Comodo warnings and I approved going ahead because the security apps were installing at the time.
