Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Standard Will Not Install/uninstall?
Jul 20, 2012
I am experiencing difficulties when trying to uninstall/reinstall my adobe product At the beginning of the month, I had some issues with the activation which caused the program to lock me out. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program thinking thatothing changed. Had to call adobe to deactivate my serial.Long story short, the adobe help center rectified the problem with my serialSupposedly anyway. I have no way to test it because my current installation of photoshop is corrupt due to this licensing mishap. The only way is to start fresh and install the program again. This is where the hitch is. As I previously mentioned, I was able to reinstall the program once without issue. Now, I can't even run the installer from the DVD. A window stating "Setup is initializing" appears, then quickly disappears. Nothing happens afterwards. Also, I am unable to remove the program from windows. The entry is there in "Programs and Features," however selecting the option to uninstall it does absolutely nothing. No window appears or anything.
The problem seems to only be with the adobe installer. I can remove my other applications and install new ones just fine. It's just for some reason Windows refuses to run the Adobe setup now. It doesn't make sense. The disc is not scratched at all and has never been stored outside its case. I'm at a complete loss what to do next. I can't remove it and I can't reinstall it.I am running Windows 7 64 bit. The rest of my PC specs can be found in my profile. CS3 has worked perfectly on the OS for over a year now. All these problems only appeared this month out of nowhere.
I recently installed a crap copy of Adobe CS5 that I was told was good, and would like to install a new one but have been told that I might want to delete any traces of the old copy before proceeding, this includes deleting any entries that have been made in the registry.
I just purchased a new Dell Inspiron with Windows 7 64 bit. I'm not a programmer and have tried desperatly to install my Adobe Web Premium software I had on my old laptop running Windows XP onto my new laptop. I tried several of the suggestions I've read on several forums but the program stalls at 90% while checking system profile.... at the very begining of the load.
I recently installed Adobe Design Premium CS4 on my HP Pavilion Elite desktop computer. Soon after, I started to experience long boot times of up to ten minutes.
So far, I have:
1. Ran HP diagnostics on all my hardware - all passed.
2. Checked in Event Viewer, which confirmed the long boot times, but gave me little idea of what causes it.
3. Rolled back my NVIDIA GTX 460 driver to version 270.61, but that made no difference.
4. Ran a full anti-virus scan in Safe Mode using Malwarebytes - nothing showed up.
5. Checked running processes in case the CPU was being overworked - again, nothing showed up.
6. Disconnected my Hitachi USB backup drive and my SD MS Office documents-backup flash card.
7. Ran a boot trace using Cluberti's tutorial, but the computer blue screened shortly after the trace started to run, so I decided not to pursue that line of fault-finding any further.
8. Reinstalled Windows and my applications and discovered that the long boot times only restarted AFTER I reinstalled Adobe Design Premium CS4.
7. Uninstalled CS4 and the long boot times appear to have disappeared.
So, as the title of this thread suggests, can Adobe Design Premium CS4 cause long boot times with Windows 7, and if so, why?
Will the entire Adobe CS3 suite work on the 64-bit Ultimate version of Windows 7? Is there a list somewhere of compatable and incompatible software for the 64-bit version?
I'm trying to upgrade Windows 7 to Win8. The compatibility checker flagged the Atheros BT Suite as follows: "Uninstall this app now because it isn't compatible with Windows 8."I removed it using the program uninstaller. It appeared to finish cleanly and prompted to reboot. Then, Win8 says it's still installed and has to be removed manually.
I want to install V3 but when I try to update it I get this message:"An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator."And when I try to uninstall it via Control Panel I get this message:"An error occurred while uninstalling Adobe AIR.Uninstallation may not be allowed by your administrator.
how to uninstall this program? I have found instructions on how to uninstall from Programs and Features, but the program is not listed there that I can find.....it is listed only in All Programs menu.
iam unable to install nokia pc suite in my system(Windows 7 7000)it says "instller application has stoped working"i even tried changing compatibility mode for the application but its not working ,,,,
I purchased Windows 2003 and it is now obsolete. I need to replace with Windows 2007. I am a current job seeker and find Windows 2007 has many changes. Can I turn in my 2003 for an upgrade to 2007?
How can I allow non-admin users to download and install programs without being prompted for an admin password? I'm always having problems when they're trying to download even a safe program but they get a message prompting them for the admin password otherwise they'll have limited functionality of the program
I am wondering if the install size of win 7 on a new build varies greatly based on what version you use? For instance (without any tweaking of modification) Is the install of Professional a lot larger than home premium and enterprise a lot larger than professional? Does anyone know the baseline install sizes for the different versions. I'm mainly wondering about Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate and the space requirement variations between each.
I am using a windows8 x64 version.i installed 3ds max and worked well for days, but now when i open it it says 3ds max has stopped working. Also when i install adobe cs5 suite some applications were unable to install.. I also tried installing after effects cs4.. but at middle of installation it says after effect has stopped working.
I have had Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and Adobe After Effects CS4 in the past, but recently upgraded last year both to CS5. I have no problem running AE CS5, but PP CS5 is giving me problems when trying to add transitions. Something about it can't add until I remove some parts of the footage from the A-B roll for I had no handles, which means removing some delicate footage. It will either add at the beginning or the end, but not in between like I need it too. I don't like the new way, so I removed both of them. Really, I had no choice since I had to do a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
What I want to know is, can I install both CS4 and CS5 onto the same machine? I know it want take trying to install onto the same drive, I believe; but can it be done by installing CS5 onto the main master hard drive and the CS4 onto a secondary slave hard drive (or vice versa)?
I just want to compare the two to find out why they are so different. Also, my Red Giant Suites, NewBlue FX and Pixelan SpiceMaster Pro, etc. plug-ins don't show up in PP CS5, but they work fine in PP CS4.
As far as the plug-ins, would they be installed into the Common folder rather than the application plug-ins folder?
Have removed Adobe Flash and Reader plus all the Java stuff (after the warnings) and have tried a fresh reinstall of the Flash player and was going to redo the Reader which was throwing up update issues.
Now i did see something about JavaScript in trouble shooting with the Adobe download
I downloaded Adobe Photoshop (Portable) and installed it. Then I wanted to change the location where it was saved. I tried to move it but it couldnt be moved so I copied and pasted it into a new location. I know I should uninstall but since I just wanted 1 copy, I deleted one. After that, most of the other Adobe programs were affected. When I opened some, they would say that some files are missing or my license has expired. Some started asking for serial number or to register. When I opened Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0 it said Photoshop Elements Help was missing and there were missing icons on the right side. I uninstalled and reinstalled the programs. I downloaded some but they cant be installed. It always says some files are missing.
We are implementing Windows 7 and Bitlocker as encryption. While this works brilliantly, I am now worried that our offsite engineers if they are given Local admin rights, can disable bitlocker. They need to install software onto there machines and this cannot be taken away from them. Problem is company policy also states that they are not allowed to disable the encryption, which is where my dilemma lies. I can lock down bitlocker through Grou Policy, but the offsite engineers are software developers so it wouldn't take them long to disable it if they do have local admins. Is there anyway at all I can give them access to install software without Local admins?
I have downloaded and installed Adobe PDF reader but whenever I attempt to open any pdf files or Adobe a message pops up telling me I do not have a program associated with performing that task. How do I fix this how do I make a program association?
I have been trying to Update Adobe Reader for weeks now when asked and kept on getting this error message " Error 1310.Error writing to file:C:\Config.Msi\1658852.rbf. Verify that you have access to that directory " ... Someone told me too just un-install Adobe and re-install but when i tried to re-install a similar error message failed in the install.
I have been trying to get my sound card (Creative X-FI SB0460) to work under windows 7 x64, i have followed both a standard method of installation and the "Have disk" installation both failed, the "have disk" method reports it found driver but encountered an error then, fails with a "code 10" error, "the device cannot start".It has identified my device as "creative x-fi audio processor(WDM)" rather than just "multimedia audio device", but not installed and drivers.
