Access 2010 - Moving Between Text Boxes Takes Time
May 4, 2011
I have a form which has many text boxes. My default language has been set to Arabic so each text box accepts Arabic entry to begin with. In some text boxes I need to enter English only, so I have set the language in that text box to be English. When the cursor comes to this text box, it takes little time than usual. After entering the text to move to the next text box also it takes a little more time. To sum up, whenever the cursor reaches the text box that has been set to accept a particular language, it takes more time to enter and exit. How can I overcome this problem.

I recently purchased a laptop and I cannot figure out how to adjust some of the settings. For example, when you're on a website where you fill out information boxes such as name, address, email, etc. the boxes are so light that they don't show up. I have to hit tab just to find them. Even on this page right below title: the actual box does not show up.

For some reason, the text is not showing up in the dialog boxes, which makes it impossible to download software unless you have a VERY good memory about where the "Next" button is. The buttons show, but absolutely no text. Anyone had this problem

Using mailmerge in Word 7, with a template with a picture box (our logo) top left, and a text box (containing address) top right. If I print the document without merging any data, it's fine. As soon as I import my data - nowhere near either of the boxes - the address text box to the right of the logo picture box gets partially obscured by blank space and ends up showing only the last half of each line. If I remove the picture box, the contents of the text box print OK; or if I take the address out of the text box and enter it as indented text in the same place to the right of the logo, it's also fine.

So for a while, windows updates have been causing BSODs on my PC, usually I just go and remove them via safe mode and all is well again. Well last night, after doing that, my PC BSOD'd and on rebooting found that several things were bad. First, the start orb didn't work and I couldn't pull up the start menu. All the text is gone from my desktop icons, the date and time is missing, all the items within control panel and My computer are a jumbled mess of random lines and boxes, so that means I cannot do anything in Windows explorer or control panel. This happens even within safe mode. So far, I have tried doing a system restore, sfc /scannow, startup repair and rebooting in last known good configuration. Nothing I've tried has been successful in solving this issue. About the only thing I can do on my computer is use the web browser and type blindly in the address bar, since all the text is also gone from the top of tabs and the address bar

I'm trying to move outlook 2003 .pst to outlook 2010 on a new computer running windows 7. I have copied the ..pst from the 2003 XP machine to a flash drive and copied them into the outlook folder on windows 7 under documentments/outlook folder which is new in 2010. I have already created a single pop account in 2010 and been using for a couple of weeks while trying to move the old 2003 pst file. It seems simple, have read enough how to's but nothing seems to work. How do I do this.

I have Office 2010 Home & Student on my laptop. Because, the company I work for is offering full blown promotional copies of MS office to all us employees, I want to remove my purchased copy and save it for later use on another computer. This is so I won't lose my purchased copy when I load the promotional copy, and load it onto a different computer when I'm ready.

Quote: With Microsoft Outlook 2010, you can stay connected beyond just e-mail messages. Sending and receiving text messages (SMS) in Microsoft Outlook 2010 is a convenient way to send a quick note to say you are running late, a reminder to a co-worker, or just to say Happy New Year!
With text messaging in Outlook 2010, you can also forward your upcoming Outlook schedule or important e-mail messages directly to your mobile device as a text message a great way to stay connected when you are on the go. Getting Started
There are two ways to set up text messaging in Outlook 2010. The easiest way is with a Windows phone running 6.1 with an update or 6.5, and connected to a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 account. With this setup, your text messages are synchronized from Outlook to your mobile device for sending. As an added bonus, messages that you receive are synchronized back to Outlook for easy reading in your Inbox.
If you dont have a Windows phone or an Exchange 2010 account, you can still configure text messaging in Outlook 2010 by signing up for a third-party service that sends text messages on your behalf. These services charge a nominal fee for message delivery, but there is a free trial period so you can try it out before you subscribe. Although the use of a third-party messaging service requires more initial setup, after connected, you can then send texts from the convenience of your computer. No longer will you be hunched over a tiny phone trying to add all of those addresses from your phone book just to say Be there in 10.
For more information and instructions on setting up text messaging, see Introduction to Text Messaging in Outlook. Source - Microsoft Outlook 2010 : Send Text Messages Using Outlook 2010

This problem started about 2 months ago. Windows takes a long time to shut down, at least 5 minutes. Sometimes it doesn't shut down and reboots.Every shuts down normally, then the grey screen "SHUTTING DOWN" just seems to hang.On one recommendation I updated the BIOS, that didn't seem to work.I scanned in safe mode with Malware Bytes Anti Malware and the computer is clean. I use AVAST antivirus.

I have an HP Z800 Workstation with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. When I start the computer it seems to be ready in somewhere under a minute after the desktop comes on, meaning there are no spinning circles the mouse moves smoothly etc. However if I try to launch one of the programs in the taskbar, Firefox, Thunderbird, it takes at least seven to ten minutes for the program to come on and be ready. At this point if I click Start>All Programs it is completely empty with no icons or folders at all in there and will be for about the same amount of time. The Start menu freezes open like that and all I can do is to wait. And wait I do because it makes it much worse if I hold in the power button and turn the computer off because then I can usually not go past that black screen that comes on for a brief second before it goes on the desktop. I have very few things that are active in msconfig so I have no idea what's going on and why the computer takes so long to start.

My wife has a new Acer netbook which came with 7 Starter. I upgraded it to Home Premium 32bit. She is complaining that after closing the lid, or hibernating, or sleep mode, it take at least two minutes before the netbook connects so that she can use the internet. My two laptops do not have this problem at all. All three machines use the same router.
The signal strength icon on the system tray shows a yellow blob which stays until a connection is made. It doesn't always happen, but enough for hair tugging sessions!

Whenever I tried to safely remove my USB from my laptop by Left-Clicking on the USB icon, it just takes such a long time for the menu to appear when I'm trying to remove my USB. How come it's like this? In Windows XP, it just appears as soon as you left click on the USB Icon, but Windows 7 just takes such amount of time. I was wondering if there's some way to fix this?

Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit
I usually let the laptop go to sleep and when i wake the computer, the wireless connection takes about 2 or 3 minutes to reconnect to the network.
I have another win 7 laptop that connects as soon as it wakes up but this one does not do that. The wireless connects fine when i boot the computer but its just after Sleep and wake.
The wireless symbol right bottom of the screen tells me that there are wireless networks in the vicinity but takes some time to connect; I have set my network to connect automatically if it detects it.
