I've had my asus eeepc 1001pxd running at 16 bit ( just changed it)and my internet keeps freezing up especially when I im watching video. When i check the task manager it shows that I'm using a load of cpu when I open new page I've changed my browser from chrome to mozilla and finally now to Opera which seems to work better but whenever I'm online it seems to freeze up. I've had some other little glitches too. Once in a while the keyboard just stops working and also once in a while arrow keys just start turning the screen upside down out of the blue. I've tried to figure everything out. but to no avail. It even froze up (not responding) when i started the event viewer.
Here are the details from my eventvwr from the last week. Code:

when i am watching web video - news site video (cnn, wsj, fox) or Internet, a few minutes into it, my system restarts. also, but less frequently, i get random restart on browsing with both ie8 and ff. see my profile for specs - basically windows 7 32 bit oem on a 5 year old p4 system. its fully patched. i thought it might be my avast and ad aware so i uninstalled these and installed ms security essentials. its fully patched too. i have updated my video drivers and installed an ms codec update. the restarts are still happening. the case gets decent air flow and i even slipped the side panel off, blew out some dust. the cpu temp seems fine so i don't think its a thermal warning. i tried the instructions to generate a minidump file, but no luck. the zip file has all my settings re: minidump as per the thread. see word doc in zip file.

I got a BSOD while watching a video.
BCCode: 101
BCP1: 0000000000000031
BCP2: 0000000000000000
BCP3: FFFFF88003164180
BCP4: 0000000000000002
Info:
Windows 7 64 bit
original OS on system
an OEM version
bought this laptop from dell in august 2010
I have experienced problems watching videos or playing music recently were sometimes it lags for a few seconds and the sound becomes very digitized and choppy. Also my computer crashed once this month watching another video, but I didn't get the BSOD. The same thing happened this time, only if froze and then I got the BSOD. I don't know if this is related, but I've been experiencing problems during start up with windows. Periodically the computer freezes while loading windows on the 'Please Wait' screen, just before the login screen is displayed. Usually it happens multiple times consecutively, when I restart my computer from the first freeze it freezes again multiple times. I then have to spend the afternoon trying to turn my computer on, until I can get to the login screen without the computer freezing.I've got a hardware problem too, but that's probably unrelated. The laptop speakers randomly stopped working a few months ago, I'm planning on sending it in to get fixed soon. Just thought I'd mention it in case it's relevant somehow.

I was watching a video and my laptop HP Pavilion G6-1b54ca fell asleep and logged out. Once I logged back in everything was working fine except there was no audio. I've tried doing a system restore, uninstalling the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC and reinstalling it, disabling and enabling it, restarting, running antivirus, and ensuring everything is updated on my laptop. Nothing is working, there is no audio from my built in speakers at all.

Computer started stuttering all of a sudden when playing a video or even typing and e-mail (letters lag on screen). I've ran scans with all kinds of anti-malware software (avast!, AVG, Malwarebytes), but they all come out clean. How can I tell whether this is a hardware or a software issue?

hen I watch fullscreen video in any application (VLC, WMP, Mediaplayer Classic), the taskbar appears at the bottom of the screen at random times. In other words, it seems like something is taking focus away from the video. I tried Googling this, but could not find any way to solve it.

I suppose it is some piece of hardware let me tell you a few things about my machine that I am curious could be the culprit. [code] One hard drive seems to suddenly not be working.I'm wondering if it could be all the hard drives? Or because there are 3 monitors? I did get a USB buffer over run error once trying to turn on the computer on the USB.I simply unplugged a device.

BSOD while I was watching a movie using windows media player and had a few Google Chrome tabs open. This has happened several times already with no apparent pattern. Built my system at the end of 2010, added the GPU 2 months ago. Has been happening before and after the addition.

my PC randomly hangs and makes a lovely noise (through the speakers rather than the computer itself) when listening to music, watching vids online/offline, gaming, basically at any time, when there is no sound it still hangs for a second when moving the mouse but makes no noise through the speakers. I've just done a clean install and have removed all OC to see if it makes any difference, all drivers are up to date with latest versions from manufacturers, i'm about to pull out my sound card and use onboard sound to see if that's the issue, but i believe i've tried that once before. Have experienced BSOD on this rig, but haven't had it for a while.
Here's my rig:
Win 7 Ultimate x64
Intel i5 3750K, stock speed
8Gb Crucial PC3-10700H RAM
Gigabyte Z77-DS3H mobo (F9 BIOS - not F10 beta)
Saffire HD7770, stock speed
M-Audio Audiophile 2496
OCZ Agility 3 120Gb SSD (Firmware 2.25 I believe)
Seagate Barracuda 500Gb HDD

I recently built a new computer (specs below) and have been having intermittent issues upon power on/restart with my monitor displaying 'Cannot Display This Video Mode' and above that 'Optimum Resolution 1920x1200 60Hz'. I may have to power off/power on the computer one or two times before the computer loads completely to windows 7 login. Other times - the computer starts completely fine. As this is a fresh build (1 week old), I have loaded all the newest drivers from the appropriate websites.I have no problem playing any games in their highest settings (SWTOR, BF3, WOW, ETC.) and have no issues with anything once I can make it to the windows login. I have been reading forum after forum to find a solution to my problem without any luck. I read that unplugging the monitor may help the issue, and the last time it gave me that video mode message, I tried that - and it worked. I am running the monitor (DELL EF248WFP in 1920x1200 resolution, 60Hz) through the DVI connector on my MSI HD 7970.
ASUS P8P67 Deluxe
Intel I5-2500K
Corsair Vengeance (4x4GB)
MSI HD 7970
125GB SSD (Windows 7 - Boot Drive)
1TB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM
Monitor: Dell E248WFP

I just built a new computer and first couple boot ups everything worked fine, but when I tried it the next day I got "Cannot Display Video Mode"and then after the system reset itself the screen looks all messed up with these weird vertical yellow dotted lines. I've tried reinstalling the drivers nothing works. System says Error 43 and it stopped the video card. There is no integrated video on my motherboard. After installing drivers it does the same thing before, I have tried doing clean installs.

I'm having trouble with CS 1.6 . The game would only run in Software Mode and whenever I try to run it in OpenGL this error message appears:The specified video mode is not supported. The game will now run in Software Mode..Mobile Intel(R) 945 Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation Pre-release VDDM1.0) is what I have. I think that maybe the problem could be that it's a Microsoft prerelease driver version or somewhat. I've tried checking on Intel's website but I've only seen either Intel 945GM or Intel 945GMS or something like that.

My OS is Windows 7 32 bits. I checked base video in boot option in msconfig and also checked make all boot settings permanent. So my window always boots with low resolution mode. Therefore I rechecked base video, checked all boot settings permanent, applied, ok and then restarted the windows. OK. Windows is starting, that's ok yet. My screen resolution is normal. And then My startup programs started, after a few seconds, My screen resolution changed to low immediately. I think I can't disable base video mode in msconfig.

I have really bad lag when running any application that requires full screen mode. I've got the latest AMD drivers that supports my GFX card (Asus Radeon 4850). I used to have a Nvidia card and I would just change one of the settings to get rid of the lag. I changed the Graphics card and reformatted the computer so it shouldn't be a driver issue. I have Service Pack 1 and all the updates for Windows installed. The lag is unbearable for games, so I can't play any games that require full screen, no issues when it's run in windowed mode. I've used FPS monitors while running games (Fraps and MSI afterburner) and the frame rates readings are normal (above 60 always) but it always looks like 20-ish no matter which game I play.
For videos there's always some kind of problem. Used various media players, and different browsers for flash videos but sometime the video skips to the end very quickly, or won't continue playing and halts immediately somewhere along the way. Used MSI Kombustor to stress out the GPU, and it maxes at 70 at 100% load. Directx 10 stress test seems to be blurry, every other test seems fine to run but would have the lag from being in full screen.

I would like to run a program that uses video. It's an old program that won't run in Windows 7, but ran well in XP. I just upgraded to Windows 7, but still really need this software, so I was hoping it would run in XP Mode. The installation went well. However, it works only up until the point when I load the video. Once I run it and then stop it, the program freezes completely.
This is the computer I have. The only thing different is that Windows Home version was upgraded to Business:
Gamer Supreme 957i Desktop PC
Intel Core i7 2600K(3.40GHz)
16GB DDR3 1TB HDD Capacity
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 2GB
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit

I have a win7 64 bit pro system that I have created a win7 32 bit virtual machine in because of one program that won't operate in 64 bit. The program needs 32 bit video drivers installed but I can't figure out how to do that.
I opened the setup on the video card cd but it says "the graphics adapter installed in this system is not compatible with the current set of drivers" and it won't install the drivers. The opening screen of the setup cd says "installed graphics adapter: not found".

recently did a fresh install of windows 7 home premium on my hp g62-140us laptop (formatted hd, etc). everything seemed fine until i started to watch a video (doesn't matter what site, could be Internet, hulu, etc). from anywhere between 5-20 minutes of watching a video, my computer becomes extremely slow. the video freezes, probably going less then 1 fps, but the sound is still playing. sometimes, the sound lags too. task manager shows normal memory use but 100% cpu use... in resource monitor, the hog seems to be nt kernal & system. since this is a fresh install, im assuming its not malware or a virus. any ideas? i thought it was the video card driver at first so i uninstalled it and reinstalled it to no avail. also, the pc works fine in safe mode (i can watch videos).
