Outlook Calendar 2003 To Import My Outlook File (outlook.pst

May 11, 2008

I'm learning to use Vista (new computer purchased yesterday) and my old PC as XP and Office 2003. I only use the calendar feature of Outlook and was wondering if there's a way to import my outlook file (outlook.pst) to Vista Calendar (seems to only import .ics files) as I don't yet have Outlook 2007 installed on my Vista PC.

Outlook 2007: Before I Upgraded The Desktop To Vista, I Copy The Outlook.pst Back And Forth The Two Machines To Synchronize My E-mail

Mar 23, 2008

I have a desktop that I upgraded from XP Pro to Vista Ultimate and a laptop running on Windows XP Pro. I recently upgraded both devices from Office 2003 to Office 2007. Before I upgraded the desktop to Vista, I copy the Outlook.pst back and forth the two machines to synchronize my e-mail. Now that the desktop is running on Vista and the laptop still running XP Pro, can I do the same thing to synchronize my e-mail or is there a better solution in synchronizing the pst files.

Outlook 2007 - Reset Outlook Reconfigure

Dec 12, 2008

I have a Dell Laptop with Windows Vista Ultimate (32 Bit OS) and I have Office 2007 Enterpris edition installed. I had my work email (Exchange Server) configured within my outlook and it worked fine until lastweek. It just stopped working and I thought I'll try and reset outlook and try and re-configure but then everything went really wrong.

I deleted all the Pst and ost files, deleted the old profile and created a new one.I configured a new profile and configured the exchange server settings and tried to start outlook but now it only gives me an error saying .... "cannot open default email folder. you must connect to microsoft exchange with current profile before you can synchronize with your offline folder file".. (see the screenshots)................

How Can Outlook 2007 And Outlook.pst 2003

I bought a new computer running Vista Home Prem x64 SP1 and installed Outlook 2007. My older computer (XP x32 SP2) has Outlook 2003. Both computers are connected in a home network. All my emails and address book are in Outlook 2003 outlook.pst file. How do I bring that outlook.pst (2003) into Outlook 2007, so that I could have all my emails and address book in Outlook 2007? Right now in my Outlook 2007 my address book is practically blank.

, Outlook 07 And Exchange 03: Open Outlook It Says, Cannot Open The Default E-mail Folders

Mar 23, 2008

When I boot up in the morning, I have to wait 20 to 30 mins before Outlook 07 will connect to my Exchange 2003 server. Until then, when I try to open Outlook it says, cannot open the default e-mail folders. And it suggests there is a network issue or that the Exchange server is down. These are not the case. The Exchange server is up and there are no network issues. I have many other computers attached to the network and none of them have this issue. Some our XP Pro/Office 07, some are XP Pro/Office 2003. The big difference with my machine is that it is Vista.

After about 20 to 30 minutes, wow! it connects! And then it's good for the rest of the day. I usually only minimize Outlook after I actually get it open so the connection is maintained throughout the day. I'm not sure what would happen if I closed it completely. But one thing is for sure, every morning, it takes 20 to 30 minutes before it will connect. Eventually, it always connects.

Password, Message Could Not Be Sent

Mar 23, 2008

Have had Vista now for three months, I set up windows mail with my pop3 email accounts and everything worked fine. Then one day I could not send messages without this error coming up: The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. However, also windows no longer remembers my password AND when it does or when I enter it manually it, it wont log on but comes up with the enter password screen again which I cant get passed. All the details are correct and I am at a loss as to why all my email accounts are doing this? I have more than one email provider so its not anything that end as none of them working.

I know how to do it with Outlook and Windows 98, but can't figure it out with Windows mail and Vista!!!
