No Vertical Scrollbar In Window Live Mail
Jan 22, 2010When composing a new EMail the writing goes on and on. It never wraps to start a new line. There is no vertical scrollbar. How do I correct this?

May 4, 2009I have installed the latest version of windows live mesenger beta a couples of days ago and i found that the web cam became blur when im having video chat with my friends. So i uninstalled it from control panel and choose the uninstall program. I have checked qll the box including the messenger, movie maker, silver light etc. When i try to install the older version fo the msn it didnt allow me to do so & said that i have the newer version with me. So i repeat the uninstallation process from control panel a few times and it still the same then i get mad & deleted the whole windows essentilas from my laptop but i still cannot reinstall the windows live messenger (neither new nor old version).

Mar 16, 2009I am using Window Vista. I am unable to uninstall Window Live Messenger (latest version). I go to control panel, under program, I saw those with window live xxx and i remove it but i cant uninstall/change window live essentials and i cant find the Window Live Messenger there. I exit the icon that appear at the bottom of the screen. I even remove it from the program. But after i restart the PC, Window Live Messenger appears again.

Jun 2, 2008I've got a scrolling issue. I have a Toshiba A215-S6804 laptop with Vista Home Premium SP1, IE7 and OpenOffice. I had installed a Dynex optical wireless notebook mouse and found that I could only vertically scroll in IE7. I assumed it was a driver issue because Dynex don't market this mouse specifically for Vista. So I bought a Logitech V320 wireless optical mouse and installed that yesterday. This one is supposed to scroll vertically and horizontally.
Well, in IE7 I have no problems scrolling (both ways), but in any other program I can not get it to scroll. I've tried OpenOffice document, WordPad, and even the help file from Logitech too - nothing will vertically scroll! I'm lost. I have downloaded the most recent software from Logitech with no luck. I have got to assume it's a Vista issue. Is anyone else having this problem?
Vertical, Red, Laser-like Stripe On Screen
Dec 29, 2009Yesterday when I turned on my Dell Laptop (Inspiron 1521, 2 yrs. old), there was a vertical, red, laser-like stripe on my screen. When I got to my desktop and subsequent web pages, certain white areas (like the one on which I'm currently writing) are awash in a turquoise color. Letters are outlined in white. A comprehensive Norton 360 scan showed or fixed nothing. Not sure if it's related, but last weekend, I popped my keyboard, and other "doors" on the computer bottom, and blew out the dust with aerosol air. Was careful, however, not to touch anything! I'm only a casual user, no games, vids, etc. Mostly shopping, banking, & email .

May 17, 2008I have a Wireless Laser Mouse 5000 and I'm having trouble getting the wheel scrolling tuned just right. I'd like to have a small scroll amount when I move the wheel slowly (to get really good precision) but then go really fast (screens at a time) when I "flick" the wheel to roll it quickly. The Intellipoint 6.2 software doesn't give me enough of a difference between slow scroll and accelerated fast scrolling. In fact, I don't see much of a difference, if any. I have the vertical scrolling speed almost set all the way to the left (slow). I have Enable accelerated scrolling checked, and under advanced, I have the slow/fast slider all the way to the right (fast). Seems as if this should be VERY exagerated--the dif between slow and accelerated should be VERY obvious.I searched the regsitry for any hint of settings. Nothing interesting or obvious under HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftIntellipoint, HKCUControl PanelMouse. Under HCKUControl PanelDesktop I can see WheelScrollLines but this seems to be the slow scroll rate.
It is at 2 and it changes when I change the slow/fast slider under the Mouse control panel vertical scrolling speed (nothing to do with acceleration).I can't find any registry setting that changes when I change the Accelerated Scrolling slow/fast slider. I find this very odd. Can anyone shed light on this? Is the vertical scroll acceleration a per-app setting? Is it something to do with how many scroll wheel interrupts happen per second and have to be set in a HID or mouse driver somewhere? I've tried MANY Microsoft mice to see if it something peculiar with this particular mouse and I see the same symptom with the new Natural Laser mouse, the Wireless Intellimouse Explorer 2.0.

I have to open my accounts online and when I have opened the accounts both mail and live mail will then down load messages, This does not happen all of the time, so I know the account settings are correct. It is just annoying that I have to check online every day rather than just checking mail or live mail. Jun 28, 2009I use Windows Mail (not Live mail). Until 2 weeks ago, had no problems but now Windows Mail will not receve any e-mail apart from a couple of spam ones all else is blocked. It will send e-mail no problem still. I can only receive e-mail if I log in and go via my ISP Tiscali home page so, I know that there are around 50 e-mails a day being sent to me but Windows Mail doesn't download them or produce any error codes to say their is a fault. To try and resolve this, I have turned off my Norton e-mail scanner and even uninstalled it completely and also turned off windows defender and windows firewall - but it all made no difference. Windows Mail just can't seem to see my e-mails. This all started when I was on holiday abroad 2 weeks ago when I was using a WiFi connection different to my usual Tiscali wireless used at home.

In newsgroups now for some reason, new items have only the author (From) field highlighted with bold text and the subject and other fields just in normal text. The result is that when you receive new items in watched threads, you cannot see which thread it is that has the new items unless you go through and expand each one manually! Surely this is a bug in my setup and can't really be like this?

when I pressed the download button, I saw the file was named wlsetup-web.exe. Does this mean that to install Mail, I will first be installing the framework for installing any other Live applications I may want in the future? That is, is this like installing only Word from the Office suite?

Nov 20, 2009I can't get used to the current wishy-washy version of Live Mail (version 14 I believe) and would like to get the previous version (12) back. Does anyone know whether it can still be downloaded please and if so where from? If I find someone who still has the original installation.exe file and could get them to email it to me would it work? Mar 28, 2009Windows Mail is so buggy I am beginning to feel I shall be forced to use Windows Live Mail, which I dislike imtensely. Almost wonder if that is what MS want and therefore dont fix WM. In Windows Live Mail, is there any way of sizing or moving the list of email accounts which dominates the whole of the left hand column? I have many accounts and having them take up so much space is just awful. It's the huge account headers that cause the problem - really bad design. Also, how does one get buttons for the common functions onto the menu bar? Or is this impossible and yet another bad design flaw? Why on earth don't MS provide OE for Vista? There was nothing wrong with it and the demand for it seems enormous.
