Graphic Card: Upgrade Video Graphics Without Removing
Apr 7, 2008
I have a NVIDIA GeForce 6600, integrated in a WinFast PX6600TD like this: but with 256Mb. My question is whether I can in the future upgrade my video graphics without removing it? Or do I have to take it out and just buy a complete new one
i have a mobile intel (r)965 express chipset family graphic card/driver. is it possible to upgrade to nvidia? update my graphic card to nvidia step by step?
I had my computer repaired a few months ago and since then whenever i open certain programs it tells me that my my video card does not meet the requirements and that i need one that is compatible with DirectX9. I checked display adapters and it says that i have the standard VGA graphics adapter. What can i do to upgrade it?
Upgraded from 7300se to 8600gts, and now using a DVI connection instead of VGA. Used to be able to play DVDs through Media Centre or WMP11, but now I recieve the error C00D1163 - that "there is a problem with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card". I have the newest nVidia drivers, newest soundcard drivers. Any ideas - I'm using Vista Home Premium 32bit. Oh and DVDs play fine through PowerDVD or VLC, but I want to be able to use Media Centre because I have a remote - and also out of principal that I can't fix it!
I have Vista Ultimate with AM2 Socket, AMD 4400+ dual core processor. I recently upgraded my graphics card from NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS to NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT XXX, and now when I try to watch live TV or record TV or watch shows recorded before the upgrade I get this error: "Video error; Files needed to display video are not installed or not working correctly. Please restart Windows Media Center or restart the computer." I have installed newest drivers for graphics card and tv tuners. Don't know what else to try.
I have a program which can tell me which pc games I can or cannot play. It will run through my computer system and show me the list, which I pass and which I do not. I asked about Civilization 4, and it said NO. Everything passed except the video card. Can I upgrade my video card, or will my laptop be able to handle it ? I have a Dell Inspiron 1420 laptop. Please click the screenshot link to see what video card I'm supposed to have.
I have a Dell Dimension E521 with an Athlon 2.3 GH 64X2 Dual Core processor, 2 Gig of memory, that contains an VIDA GeForce 7300 LE video card. If I were to upgrade the video card what would people recommend , keeping the price under $100.

My laptop doesn't have a graphic card but runs on a chipset from Intel. I searched everywhere if i can put a laptop graphic card on my laptop. What i did find was other people similar to my laptop has a graphic card. I opened my laptop until i could see where i can put my graphic card. I found no Graphic card. I never saw the whole inside of my laptop because if i went in more i might of broke something because i got stuck at a point where i couldn't pull the hand rest off. So i was wondering where and what type of graphic card that fits for my HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop so that it can run on Crysis on high.

I bought a GeForce GTX260 and so far it's amazing. But I've been told that the resolution on the computer is based on the graphics card. The highest mine goes to is 1440x900. I've seen some go 1900xsome number. Is it possible to get my resolution higher or does my graphics card not allow that?

I play this online game where you have to be very fast to bid, but lately I haven't been doing so good anymore, because everybody is upgrading their connection speed and doing macros to play, a friend of mine told me she installed a graphic card, and her game speeded up considerably. is this true does a craphic card also makes your pc faster?
I am looking to buy my niece a laptop for Christmas and I'm looking for some advice. She is only 13 and the only game she really plays at the moment is Sims2. Obviously I would like to buy the the best one I can, but I would like to ensure that for the future it could erhaps play a few better games as well as Sims2. I can imagine she will be using the laptop for her school work as well over the next few years. Any advice on which one to buy. I don't know much about PC'S but I was told that different graphic cards can make a bit of difference.

Do you know how to install a Graphic card EVGA NVIDIA GEFORCE 8400 in a PC running Vista 32x? So far I've spent two weeks looking a solution but it seems almost imposible. When I try to install the card always get an ansewr saying that system could not find any driver for this hardware. This is what I have done:
1. clear MOS and update it 2. try almost every driver from mobo manufacturer (Biostar pm4900), form NVIDIA, from EVGA. 3. set PCI priority in Bios 4. unistall VGA drivers for the Moboard.
I purchased a new CPU, RAM, mainboard and graphic card. It's the NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT, 512 MB, 256 Bit for about 100€ (~127 USD). Now that's already a nice card, but for 125€ (~158 USD) I could buy the same card with 1024 MB. That's easily 100% more for only +25% of the original price. Now my question is, using a dual monitor setup with the maximum resolution of 1440x900, would that be worth the money? I heard once or twice that video card memory is mostly related with the resolution.
I have Vista installed which is working with my Gainward Graphic card, but with no Aero or 3D rendering. So I am looking to upgrade my card. Without breaking the bank I am open to suggestions as to what upgrade graphic card I should go for, I have an AGP board.

I would like to have two 24" monitors, each setup at 1920x1200 resolution, on a single PCI express 16x graphics card, running Aero across the 2 monitors. Is there any graphics card out there that would support this scenario? Can't find the answer in any of the graphics chips manafucturers' websites

I have a HIS ATI Radeon HD 4870x2 Graphics card I am getting very poor gpu clock and memory speeds on both cores of my graphics card. at both 3D and 2D mode, using GPU-Z 0.3.0.0 and ati 8.12 catalyst control center I know that in 3D mode it should be at 750MHZ and 900MHz and 2D at 507MHz and 500MHz(2gpu). I have un-installed and re-installed the 8.12ccc with no change at all, also using driver cleaner(in safe mode) when un-installing. I get no arifacts as I use ExpertTool V4.0, enable fan contol for cooling while playing games. Its just the card will not run at its full potentuall or how it should.
I'm looking to invest in a new graphics card i have a max of about £130 i want to spend but there are a few issues first off, my pc comes with a ****ty dell 350w PSU which has one graphics power connector now i did a PSU calculator with the card i want to buy>>Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4870 1GB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Cardand it says it should come under 350 but i would like your opinions. Also is that the best card i can get for the cash? i would prefer ATI but would be willing to go over to Nvidia. i currently have a HD radeon 2600 XT which is a slim one, depth wise anything would fit, but i think a longer card would have a hard time fitting.
