Everytime I check my email I have to enter my password in OE. I check the box to say save password and the tick stays in the box, but, next time I log on and try and get emails, I have to put in the password.

I type my password in and username at the login prompt on comcast webmail website.
I check the box to "remember this password" and when i close Internet explorer and come back, it doesnt remember me.
Ive tried renewing my internet connection, delete all cache + temp files, and clearing my history.
I have a windows xp pro machine running ie 7.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't use Outlook Express for anything and a while back l tried to set up an account but for some reason it failed but being that l don't use it l really didn't care.Now l'm setting up a Brother's copier for scanning and it's all set up except that when l try to e-mail the scan the Outlook Express pops up and for some reason it doesn't except my password or anything.Bottom-line how can l delete it or just get rid of it. I tried everything that l could think of which is not too much.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an AT&T mail account and they recently paired with Yahoo on their homepage. My Outlook Express in Windows XP worked with my account fine for years until yesterday. I had to change the names of the servers to: pop.att.yahoo.com and smtp.att.yahoo.com. The port settings are the same 465 and 995. Also, my password is the same. The problem is when I try to receive or send mail, Outlook Express repeatedly asks me to enter my username and password for the servers. The password box is checked on the logon box that comes up repeatedly but not highlighted. What am I overlooking?

I attempted to deletethem one by one, but this deletes the folder in OS 6. I made a second attempt to place all copies into a new file in an attempt to isolate, but thi too, deletes them from the OE 6.

At first I had the POP3 and SMTP settings wrong and when I fixed them I didn't realize I had both the web based email and Outlook Express open at the same time.
