After I uninstalled some Dell printer software from my computer, my Cannon camera and Samsung scanner do not work. I have deleted the devices and connected them again but when XP tries to install the drivers I get this error: "Windows cannot load the device drivers for the new hardware. The Driver may be corrupt or missing. (Code 39)".I have reinstalled SP2 then SP3 but that did not help.
Suddenly, windows XP will not recognize my evision 123 digital camera. I tried another port but no luck. A message came up that refered to the cameria not having a signed logo?
I have just purchased a Fuji Fine pix camera and cannot get the device manager to see it. It has a yellow triangle against the digital camera entry and under properties has" Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware because a previous instance of the device driver is still in memory. (Code 38) If I install new hardware it sees tha camera and I get new hardware found but then give the message not installed properly, any ideas out there?
my XP SP2 doesn't recognize my Olympus FE-100. It installs it as "Unknown device". I have no problems this kind with my printer, mp3 player, but i had the same problem when trying to connect my friends watch which has usb memory in it (it works fine on his computer- XP). I tried to connect my camera on Win ME and it works properly. I know this has to do something with my XP, i just don't know what. I tried to uninstall- reinstall the camera, stop-restart the WIA but nothing helped. There is no driver for it because xp should recognize it at least as a storage device.
My camera worked just fine for a couple of months, using UBS cable. Then suddenly my computer couldn't detect the camera, although it's listed in the hardware device list, and say it's working fine. Checked connections: fine. I've downloaded the drive from the vivicam website; I've used the disk that came with the camera, and nothing seems to work. Reinstalled it. I have the latest windows XP updates.
This is not really a tweak as such, just a very simple thing you could do with your digital camera that most people don't think about.Do you have a digital camera that shows up as a removable storage device in explorer? Well, start using it as one!You can use the memory cards on your camera for storing documents mp3's or whatever you choose to store there. Perfect if you need to bring some files to a friend, but the files won't fit on a diskette and you don't have a CD burner - just save it on the camera!
All of a sudden my PC isn't finding a removable drive when i plug my camera into the USB port. I'm trying to copy pics from my digital camera and have always used the removable drive function in My Computer...now it's not working. other USB hardware (keyboard, mouse etc) are working fine. I've changed the cable, installed the camera driver disk, tried finding new hardware, and tried different USB ports to no avail.Camera is an Episilom 1.3 digital dreams and is working fine. Running Win XP SP2 on AMD Semprom 2800+ 2 GHz processor. Mobo is ASRock K7Upgrade-600
I recently (two weeks ago) upgraded my system from W98 to W2k. The first time I installed, the program , I did it keeping my w98 folders etc. Ther were some errors and I tried to re-install, choosing the overwrite option. (also downloaded service pack one! I tried to download service pack 4 but it told me there was not enough memory) I have been left with two W2k directories. I have been using the most recent one (the preferred one) and have slowly been copying my important files using my flash disk from the other W2k directory. The only problem I have had is that althought the drivers and soft ware are installed, everytime I connect and switch my digital camera on, the sytem reboots. Iwanted to "defrag " the preferred W2k directory but was told there was not enough disk space. I thought then to uninstall programs on the other W2k diectory that I was not using. ie. mainly software etc for which I have disk and have reinstalled on the preferred W2k directory. Well after I had finished I rebooted, and then the trouble began! I cannot get into the "preferred" W2k directory. I swear I did not change or remove any settings or programs.
While transferring video clips from my digital camera to my computer, the media players show images upside down. There is no problem when transferring to other computers.
Just curious to know details on this question. We are getting a 2nd DELL. The first one is as follows: Wind. XP Home Ed. Vers. 2002 SP2 Pent. (R) 4CPU 3000 GHz 2.99 GHz 512 MB of RAM OUR newest computer is of course different in other ways, but instead of Intel Pent. 4 it is Intel Celeron.
You know when you plug your camera into your computer it brings up the picture transfer wizard. well my computer no longer does that and its kind of annoying. anyone know how to reactivate autoplay i guess? ive tried different usb ports and i even uninstalled usb root hubs and rebooted and let them reinstall themselves.
I have a problem which many others seem to share, which is that the Scanner and Camera Wizard has suddenly ceased to appear automatically when downloading from a camera. Until a few days ago, I could plug my Olympus into my computer with a USB lead, and a box would crop up offering several courses of action. I would choose the one which permitted downloading the camera files to a folder. Next the Scanner and Camera Wizard would pop up, and after a few clicks, the camera files would be downloaded to my hard drive, and any unwanted shots would be deleted. I mention all this because some people appear to think that the Scanner and Camera Install Wizard is the same thing, but it isn't.Various cures have been put forward, like uninstalling Real Player 10, finding wiaacmgr.exe and renaming it to Scanner and Camera Wizard, and reinstalling the camera. I have tried these without success, and the wiaacmgr file is not present on either of my XP computers (one Pro, the other Home). I have also downloaded Autofix.exe, which found nothing wrong, and tried to persuade Autoplay to do the business.
Just got my first digital camera and all was good until I tried to download pictures to my pc. The microsoft scanner and camera wizard would not pop up when I attached my camera all settings and plugs checked). I found out this may be due to SP2 or Real Time, which I do not have. Has anyone else had this problem and what is the best and quickest fix.
I recently read the article on Tom's Hardware about using a camcorder as a webcam. They used crappy, free USB drivers and the results were HORRIBLE. WebCamDV has very good quality, pretty much perfect, but it is only for FireWire connected camcorders. My camcorder doesn't have a firewire connection, it only has USB (supposed to be for quick captures). Is there software that gets similair results to WebCamDV, only from a USB connection?
I have a 1.3MP USB webcam. I have 2 PCs. The webcam works all right with the laptop, except that machine is too wimpy to support video conferencing. When I connect the same webcam to my desktop, it SEEMS to be OK; it is recognized, drivers install OK, BUT when I use (for example) the Skype video set-up, it all seems to work, I can command the webcom ON (and the LED lights up), BUT there is NO VIDEO shown, just a black screen. All info screens show the webcam is OK, but I can't get the PC to recognize any video from it.
The word Webcam appears on my screen then my browser(Chrome) starts and loads tab after tab of a webpage for Logitech webcams. Taps continue to load until chrome crashes. Only then can I regain control of Chrome and the computer. I've tried all the usual antispy tools but nothing finds what is causing this. I do have a wireless logitech keyboard and mouse.
I can't seem to get a digital signal in the media center although i have got analogue. Device Manager shows the yellow exclamation mark by the WinTV 88x DVB-T Hybrid Tuner/Demod. It says code 31,Windows was unable to install the drivers for this device. In driver file details the driver is there but doesn't have a tick by it like the others & it says its not digitally signed.I haven't uninstalled or reinstalled any drivers for it & i haven't used HCWCLEAR because i unfamiliar with it,i'd prefer to get some more info before i attempt anything or mess anything up.
I put the cd in for it and it says the device is working properly, but when i try to use the cam in imaging i get an error message "General failure in response to MSG_ENABLED and low on memory free up disk space and try again. she has way more then enough free space. It is a P3 800mhz 128ram and running win98se.
I am trying to install a web cam I have, no brand name on it and I cannot find the software I got it 5 years ago and now my kids want to use it!Are there generic drivers to run a webcam?
I have a VGA USB camera#2 (I-cam 330) and i can't seem to use it anymore since system backup takes up 23% and my modem takes 35% of the bandwidth and my cam needs 60%.
I need to monitor wild life activity on my property. The site is about 125 feet away from my computer.I have a Logitech Quickcam web cam with USB pigtail. I'm running 2.4 intel,XP pro,512 ram, with a Linksys wireless-G router.I have not had the cam out of the box.Question#1 Can I run a wire(cat5?) 125 feet with usb ends cam to computer without to much signal lost? If this doesn't work then to question #2.Using the wireless router and a new wireless cam will the signal travel that far and can I boost the signal if needed?
I have about a 100 collection employees that send confidential information (credit cards and other information) to third party vendors for payments. I want to encrypt all emails going out to these vendors. In order to do that, the employees need digital signatures.
My questions:
(1) I'm assuming that I will need a 128-bit encryption certificate server for this. Is there a site that someone can point me to so that I can investigate this further?
(2) Would it be possible to set up one digital ID for all employees or must it be separate?
(3) I do have an Exchange 2003 server. If I need to assign digital ID's to the 100 employees, is there a script that I can use to get this done quicker?
Im trying to use my webcam as a motion survielance ( if thats how you spell it) Can anyone tell me how to use Windows XP, and a logi tech cam to basically be running, and start recording when motion is detected? Is there any wares? Can it be done? suspect that my cleaning lady is stealing from my home, and I want to have the monitor screen off with the PC running.
