I just installed server 2000 on my machine. I was wondering if someone could tell where I could get instructions on how to use the software. I would like to setup a server so that my brother-in-law can access my server from maryland obviously through the internet.
I need instructions how to set up the software etc.
Need instructions on how to trf. favorites from I.E. to safari. Need icon to click on to take me there.
View 1 Replies View Relatedmy OS is windows xp home. when I defrag, the system freezes up and I have to shut down via the surge protector. I contacted Dell but ended up going around in circles with them. The best that I can gather is that I have a corrupt file somewhere. I want to try a repair reinstall. my question is, do I have to set the Bios to boot from the CD drive, or can I simply put in the Reinstallation CD and follow the instructions?

My wife didn't think about this when purchasing it for Christmas. I am not worried about the other programs that he has in it. Just wanted to make Recovery disk for Windows XP for that system only.

That helped me boot up back into Windows, but as windows logs on I have an error "C:Documents and SettingsAdministratorDesktop" does not exist,it most certainly does exist) or something similar, obviously lagging the load of explorer.exe and resulting in a blank desktop other than default items.
