Nov 9, 2007i keep getting the error when i turn on the computer. and i have no access to anything does anyone know how to resolve this isssue the only thing i can access is the bios.

Ntldr Missing Ctrl+alt+del Pro
Jun 9, 2005Computer is an HP pavilion notebook zd7000. XP Pro. HP recovery does not seem to be an option on this notebook. I did have this pc in for repair once before as user loves to download music, etc.. and I do remember having to load format and load from the xp cd.

Jan 1, 2007I just reformatted my 20G HD. I have an Intel D845GLLY motherboard with a Pentium 4 processor. When I try to load Windows XP Pro from the installation disk it says "NTLDR is missing", so either it is not on my installation cd, or most likely the files are corrupt. I got my XP Pro from the MSDAA; I am in school to be a Computer Forensic Specialist. So, I got a floppy disk and copied NTLDR, NTDETECT, and boot.ini to it. When I put the floppy in my computer though, it says that it is not bootable. How do I get those (3) files on my computer that has been formatted? Are there other files that I need on my floppy.

I tried using the xp recovery disc and eventually tried using Fixboot, thinking (foolishly?) that this is would help fix it. It now gives me a NTLDR error... Nov 30, 2004Im getting a new hard drive to replace one that failed. My OS is on the old drive but I want to move the OS to the new drive (b/c it will be clean and free of spyware and such...I want a clean install) when i recieve it. If i install the OS on the new one (which I will designate as the master drive), and i boot up, (then delete it from the old drive) will my computer get 'confused'? How should I go about doing this? I dont want to lose any of the data on the 'old' OS drive so I'm scared to remove Windows from it.

In spite of loads of precautions he is in trouble again.Three months ago his Mesh desktop gave him the thumbs down when his Maxtor 160Gb failed. he bought another and another copy of XP Home because he couldn't put his hand on the first one (money to burn).HD1 has been formatted and set upo with an installation of XP in reserve. His usual copy is on the new Maxtor, HD0. I understand that all of his data is held in separate partition and that he has a backup of his O/S using Acronis True Image v8, and a bootable rescue CD. Hid HD0 failed and he tried to format it to restore his backup. No go.Now he can't get his XP on HD1 to boot. His rescue CD won't boot.His True Image install disk which can be a rescue disk won't boot andall he gets on POST is "NTLDR is missing".

It might work in Home Edition or other versions.If you do this, then you will get the "Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete to begin" box when you turn on your computer, before it asks for your username and password. It also asks for you to press Ctrl-Alt-Del before you can unlock your computer if you lock it. This is done by default in Windows 2000 Server or Windows Server 2003.

Apr 9, 2008I have had the following error message appear when i start my PC NTLDR Missing, When i press ctl alt del to restart the same things happens and i go around in circles. I have put the XP disk in to hopefully boot from that but the PC will not pick up the disk and start from it.
