I've been trying to play a game at pogo.com and I keep getting a message that my Java is saying Java Not Found or Not Working. I have followed all instructions. I have removed J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 and reinstalled it. I have checked the control panel to see if Java is enabled and it is. I have cleared all cookies and history on my Internet options as well as deleted the files in the Java console.
I am programming 2 links on a web page to pop up new browser windows. These windows contain pdf files. They need to use the same popup window, so I named the window. It works fine, but I am getting a "member not found" error in the main window where the links are. I do not get the error in Firefox, only in IE, which makes me suspect IE java security issues.
I don't know where to put this topic. But alright so basically yesterday I started having this problem. When I go to anything that uses Java such as Geocities my computer starts making a chugging noise and the browser (IE or Firefox) crashes. It brings up one of those senseless error messages about something failing. I'd look now but it'd close this screen. I tried uninstalling Java but when I try uninstalling the JS2E Runtime Enviroment 5.0 Update 5 it won't let me uninstall either. It makes the same noise and freezes up the window. What in the hell do I do? I've never had a problem quite like this.
I have got a problem here. I reinstalled win 2000 pro on my machine after it had gotten a problem. But now java applets can not be seen/run when i open a website with one. For example www.teamtalk.com has a new ticker at the top which runs news horizontally but i nolonger see it on my machine. Also chatting sites like www.monitor.co.ug. What can i do to over come this problem.
every time windows starts up, the "found new hardware" wizard starts up, and a message pops up down the bottom right saying Quote: "Audio device on High Defenition Audio Bus" I have already installed this device, and I have sound working perfectly, so it should not be coming up!I have tried uninstalling the device, and re-installing the device, but it still pops up next time I log in!
Tried installing a program but it needed DirectX8.1.. Went to MS site and found that DX8.1 is already installed in XP. DOwnloaded and reinstalled anyway. Program still doesn't find it. Think it may be a registry problem but am hesitant to fool around with it. Anyone know how to make XP default to DX8.1? (There are other DirectX's in registry, i.e DX3, DX6 etc. Think it may be defaulting to one of these.
My sons friend dropped his computer off to be cleaned up. GOt into some areas that appears to have taken over his system and his Internet service canceled his account and told him to clean up his system. It was home built using a MSI mb MS6702 / K8TNEO FIS2R or K8TNEO FSR not sure which.I was going to format his system and reinstall his XP but as soon as you start the system you get the No Device Found message and then a BIOS not installed message. If you try to get into BIOS using MSI's instructions (DEL key) it will not go into BIOS so you can set-up the boot sequence etc. If you let the system continue to boot the system will boot into XP with no problem.
I can't install JAVA on my computer. I get error 1722 from java. I have followed everything on the page regarding how to get around this problem but with no success. The log says (in Swedish):tgrd: patchjre, plats: C:ProgramDelade filerJavaUpdateBase Imagesjre1.6.0.b105patch-jre1.6.0_03.b05patchjre.exe, kommando: -s "C:ProgramJavajre1.6.0_03" (tgrd=action, plats=place, Delade filer=shared files) I really need java! I have tried so many things now and I really hope someone out there can help me.
I recently replaced MSJVM with Sun Java. I want to ask if the Java Plug-in Control Panel 1.3.1_02 is supposed to be removed. In the Add/Remove programs

I've updated java on a new install of xp.before installing java 6 update 6 I uninstalled what ever java could be uninstalled from add/remove programs. I've just been in there now and I find that I have both java 6 update 6 plus java 6 update 4.
I uninstalled old JRE and tried to reinstall. It will download the installer but then it never starts. I have tried cleaning registry using ccleaner. I have tried downloading off line version but I get an errer about datacab1 may be corrupt. Any help would be appreciated.
I uninstalled Java a while back so I could install the latest version and now I can't even reinstall it. Says "Error applying transformations. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid."
I have been trying to install Java from Sun Microsystems and am constantly getting this message: "The installer cannot continue with the current internet connection settings" Is there a settingI even disabled my internet connections to install without any luck.
I got the upgrade from ME to XP this past weekend. The Java Plug-In from Sun Microsystems is required to be able to generate the mailing labels online. When I try to create a label I get that security bar up top. I do click on it and choose "Install Active X Control" but I keep getting the following error message, "The installer cannot proceed
XP Pro, SP2, After installing the latest Sun Java 5.4 (required to run several programs) I simply get a blank box where the app is supposed to be running. The same holds true when I attempt to open the Java Control Panel. It's blank. Java is enabled in Security Settings and allowed in my Program Access and Control Settings. Sun Java 1.3 works fine but several programs require the updated version. This is quite annoying and inconvenient. Any one having the same or similar problem? I've checked the KB, Also looked in Symantec KB (I have Norton Systemworks '05 and Internet Security '05), and checked for any conflicts with my Radeon 9600 pro vid card drivers. I've also looked for .Net conflicts. All updates are current for all products and drivers.
I had my hard drive replaced and a new install of everything. My concern is how do you find out what version of Java you have on the computer? I went to Add/Remove and it is not there. I remember seeing it somewhere but can't recall if its the old Add/Remove on the other drive or I just happened to run into it. I went into Windows, Java, and it told me nothing about the version. Has a bunch of zipped files and don't want to open anything that I don't know about. I have 3 folders, classes, trustlib, and packages. Nothing shows what version, if its even installed. I know you need the new update for it, if its not installed now, is it needed?
so i play diffrent game and the they need java it works but when im triyng to make games the java wont come out to open for exzample they come out as a notpass and lines on it .can anyone tell me what da problum is
I am using Windows XP. My computer won't let me view Java even though I have it enabled. Certain websites can't be viewed correctly, or it tells me I need to enable Java. I have Active Scripting enabled. I've tried uninstalling Java and reinstalling it again, but it doesn't work.
I was away for several weeks and apparently one of the younger set here has used my work computer for gaming, although they have one of their own for that. I found an icon on my desktop called Java Web Start. Now I vaguely remember that I read there is some clash or danger when you use Java on an XP system. Mine is XP Pro with SP2. Does anyone have an inkling what it might be, or if I am just imagining things? In which case I could safely leave it there, could I?
I have window xp and i cant install the new java update it says something about it already being install but i remove basically everything. Related to java but one thing i still see is java auto updater 2.0.2.1 any advice thanks.
When opening my add/remove program files I noticed that every Java update for Java 6 is stored on the computer. IE Java 6 Update 1 still on the system and I have all the way through Update 6. To keep all of the updates on the system. They take up alot of hard drive space
