Some of my programs crash to desktop, but until a video loads. Whether its a demo video or otherwise(games for example), it crashes to desktop every time.So i did a dxdiag and it shows all is well EXCEPT for Direct3D, which failed the 3 tests. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?(Please don't say reinstall Windows :P) I believe its a Windows thing and not a video card issue, but thats all i know.

Ever since, even doing the smallest thing like rolling the mouse wheel will make the computer go up to 70, 80, even 90% computer usage. Also, I cannot seem to run games now because my Direct3D is apparently not activated.
View 8 Replies View RelatedDirect3d stopped working on my friend's computer, all of a sudden, for no particular reason. DxDiag says that "direct3d functionality is unavalible...verify drivers." I reinstalled all of the drivers, and DirectX.
